For those we left behind!
I've been thinking about how to organize dispositions for the events, and I think I came up with a workable solutions the keeps things fair and manageable without revealing too much to the other teams.
I will want a complete roster of all the ship names and classes for each team at least one hour before the event. After this time, you cannot change the ships on the rosters, but you can shuffle them around between main and reinforcement as you please (while keeping to the 20mil/10mil limits). If you do not want to post the roster publicly before it's due, pm me a list of all the ships and their classes.
Once the roster lock deadline hits (again, 1hr before event), I will be updating the slots with everyone's submitted rosters. Again, after this happens, you can only shuffle ships between main and reserve while keeping to the credit limits. At this point I will also be closing registration for any new players, except to replace an existing player who couldn't make it with the same ship class.
Just to confirm with people, the team restrictions are based on the total hull values of the ships. I've updated the wording a bit to make that clearer. (it probably didn't help that I had the wrong values in the totals for a bit...)
I've had some suggestions about streaming the event and people casting it. I think the best way to keep things fair yet inclusive is for people to stream with a 2 min delay, and have people commentating share their screen on discord as they watch the stream on twitch. I'm planning to have everyone watching and commentating gather in Room 1 of the official discord: LINK
I will probably not stream the event myself due to needing to organize and my connection being crappy, but I will be in the main discord call. I encourage anyone else to buy a camera ship on New Haven and fire up a twitch stream. OBS Studio has a delay setting in Advanced Options, but I'm sure there are other ways of making it happen. I will add a list of streamers to the first post, so reply here with your twitch channel name if you are interested! Anyone participating in the event is welcome to stream as well of course - just remember to include the delay!
