Yeah, well...what's brute strength good for, if you're 'six feet under' as they say? Then again, I've had little use for it as of late since I'm a pilot, not a brawler. Not anymore.
As for the occasional tale? Right now I've got nothing going on. The Technocracy grew another head - Leviathan. Some quirky, walking corpse Revenant deludes herself with. Herself and everyone else. Used to go by Joshua Hunt.
And yeah, I've been avoiding combat - at least until I got a better grip of this body. It's much harder to walk without the synthetic nanofiber muscles I'm used to. I'll...'work out' though. In a few months I'll be doing much better. For now I'm focused on a few projects that require me to be on solid ground.

A new leader? Well, I doubt it changes much for them. Since the events at Freeport 9 and the destruction of Atka, technocrats have hardly interfered with Malta's interests or mine personally. I presume they are preoccupied with the Core in the southern Omicrons.
Regarding solid ground under your feet, Caliban, remember that I arranged a personal armory, storage, and refuge at Barrier Gate years ago, which still remains at your disposal. Feel free to put it to good use.
I'm talking less about guns and bullets. More about...vials, microscopes and a well sharpened scalpel. I do like the concept of quarters other than a cramped room aboard the Wayfarer though. Appreciated.
For time being have you heard anything interesting on your end? I've started to lose touch with the latest news. You know, the type that doesn't come up on the Net.

You may only blame a certain mercenary for having so many weapons, ammunition, and explosives in the cache aboard Barrier Gate Station. He ordered them when he was determined to eliminate a woman going by the name of "Hawkins", and I believe that the bomber he required for that is still there.
With enough ingenuity, I believe you can rearrange your quarters to your liking.
In terms of news, the situation in the Liberty Underworld is a bit odd at the moment, especially if you visit it after a long time. The pressure from the Liberty Navy is so insistent that the Xeno Alliance, Hemlocke's pack, and the new Lane Hackers are remarkably tolerating each other to some extent in their shared fight against "the law".
And then, of course, there is the matter of my little artifact. With its assistance, I have managed to tame one of the predatory beasts from the planet Gaia with only minor injuries. My mind is slowly getting used to it, though some unsettling feelings lurk at the edge of my consciousness. I wonder whether it is possible to get used to it completely.
The bomber! Yeah...it's seen plenty of action in the Omicrons. I put it to good use and all that. I need to find a bigger home, though. So I guess I'm open to that market as well now. I can't ignore the fact that some things are done better by a bigger ship - preferably full of droids that don't whine about a salary. The reasons for this are many. Won't bother you with the details on it.
I'm glad to know you're doing well with the artifact. Just don't get carried over when using it - especially when you feel an otherworldly presence tapping against your skull.

You have many options for a more extensive home base. Pelicans, larger DL-series Armadillos, or even Scarabs are common choices for traveling scientists. You would also find it relatively easy to secure hangars or dry docks for repairs and modifications for these vessels.
However, considering only what I have personally paid you for your services, I think you could afford a smaller cruise ship with its own hangars - maybe something like the venerable Oasis?
I would advise caution when acquiring a robotic crew. While it is unlikely they would complain about a lack of pay or openly rebel, they typically struggle to maintain larger and more complex vessels. My own vessel also employs a robotic crew remotely operated by robust computer systems, yet they still require oversight and occasional interventions from my smaller Outcast crew.
So a meeting is taking place at Fontana. Either Damien filled you in on the matter or I'm the one that's telling you firsthand. I'm not a big fan of witnessing this kind of get-togethers, but since I'm going anyway over what I assume is a favor I might as well ask you for anything you want said or done there.
I'm your 'eyes and ears', apparently.

Without each side's arguments, I can hardly think of a response of my own. I believe the most important course of action will be for the Order to decide whether to continue their historic mission to protect Sirius from whatever is awakening on the planet Sudbury or lose whatever vestiges of trust they retain by putting their tail between their legs in sight of the conflict with the Liberty Security Force.
Moralizing will not prevent a disaster. Either the LSF will get its fingers slapped now- or it will have to happen later. The only difference is that the latter option will cost more innocent lives when Liberty decides to use whatever it is as a weapon - perhaps to assert its waning dominance and superiority once again. For now, they are steadily losing their influence and income, thanks to the advancements made in Gallia and Kusari.
Other than that, your eyes and ears will suffice amply for now, Caliban.
