Comrades in arms. During a recent patrol (in my favourite captured Arrow) through the independent systems between Bretonia and Liberty, an unknown flying object appeared on my radar southeast of the planet Baja in the Coronado system. As it caught up with me at Cortez Jump Hole, I heard a female whisper in my head. Not knowing what to do, I answered it. After a while, I noticed a beautiful blue creature hovering in my area. I have to admit that I don't know why I associated them with blue puppies. I started talking to it in my head, as it were, about who I am, what I do, who we Gaians are. Truth be told, I had my soul on my shoulder as it came to me that it was one of the infamous nomads, but surprisingly it wasn't aggressive or anything. After a while another one flew by, but it was very passive. Interestingly, when I hinted about the Sacred Mother Gaia it responded very positively and somehow I offered to show her our treasure.

Both of these beings in the Edinburgh system were showing a kind of respect for our planet by hovering in space at a suitable distance from it. I would also like to report that I was able to return to our base without any problems. None of these beings showed any aggression, desire to stop me or attempt to board me. I wonder if there are perhaps different groups of Nomads and some are quite pacifistic, unlike those that Liberty and Rheinland are said to have fought?

I am enclosing a transcript of our conversation as I remember it.

Good day Green Front, at first I want to apologise for my absence at bureaucracy stuff but I was to occupied with Wallaby to commit to it.
Now as I have some "free" time I can dive in the paperwork about recent events on the green side and few other delayed comms.
First thing to mention - During our regular supply runs to the Edge Worlds our trusty transport GSS-Nile got one of his engines malfunctioning resulting in slower travel speed so I have had to leave him to secure my own load of goods while he was crawling to the Freeport 11. I've sold my batch, loaded another and while finishing unmooring sequence my comms got struck by Floris Amazonis - pilot of the Nile transport calling for help and he got intercepted by unknown gunboat.

When i've arrived at the distress location the battle was about to start so just when Drone-class gunboat made her first shots i've followed and started beating her shields and hull. Unfortunately GSS-Nile got destroyed but her crew managed to evacuate onto the pods. I won the skirmish by destroying the Scorpion-class and picked up who survived from the transport, luckily Amazonis was amongst the survived but heavily wounded ones. I knew they won't make it to the Torshavn lying on the rocks I had In hold so i had no choice but to take them to the freeport. There i've paid the docs and left three of my security crewmen to protect them. I've returned to the Halifax back in Bretonia from where i've ordered another transport to pick up our people from the 11. All of the survivors made their way back home. (See Wild defeat)

Now second thing - due to increased activity of industrialists, Arch Captain issued a sweep-patrol mission in Bretonia Space where we have meet in Cambridge system a coward'ish police flyboy, Rheinland Cruiser and some dude carying people in an CONTAINER SHIP! and yet they call us a terrorists here. (See ----Bretonia Shenanigans Cambridge----)
Then in New London we've meet deaf Liberty Navy fighter that we eradicated in fear of Liberty Navy coordinating with Crown agains us (See Bretonia Shenanigans New London vol.1) and two Bounty Hunters from the Hitman organisation. (See Bretonia Shenanigans New London vol.2).

That would all the internal matters.

The escort of INS-Inferno from the Edinburgh system to the jump hole leading to the Tau-31 took place today, assisted by Captain Woodward and Pilot Stormleaf. The whole trip went off without any problems, thanks in particular to the credit of Flora Stormleaf.

In recognition of her services to the cause of Nature and Mother Gaia since joining the ranks of the Gaians) movement, especially considering the skirmishes with the BAF/BPA/Bounty Hunters, I am announcing to everyone promotion of Flora Stormleaf to the rank of Lieutenant and we thus express our hope, for her continued commitment to our cause.

Today I conducted acceptance trials after upgrading my cruiser GSS-Swordfish (including a rear defense turret). During them, I met the ship “AdZ)Moulin” belonging to the Galla mafia on patrol in California. We all remember how much blood, sweat and tears the war with Galla cost us. We remember the destruction of the planet Leeds and will never forget it. However, our holy Mother Gaia is gracious and merciful, so after detaining the said servant of the Gallian regime, I only charged him an environmental fee and contented myself with confiscating half of the Light Arms he was transporting. The funds in question will, as usual, be used to fight for the welfare of Nature and our Mother Gaia.

Today I did a combat and trade patrol combined with an eco-tax collection. After flying with gold to Freeport 11 in the Omicrons and returning to Brittany, I took a position at the gate to New London in the Cambridge system waiting for payers. Mother Gaia must have blessed me, because very quickly two customers showed up. One was very eager to talk, the other, unfortunately, had to be properly persuaded to start a dialogue and pay the fee. In recent days, Gaian scouts have discovered that a certain group of scrappers, with total disregard for the sanctity of the planet Gaia and the surrounding space, has built a dirty, rusty base 20 kilometers from our jewel without any question. From the information I know, the owners have completely disregarded inquiries sent by other Gaia members as to the legitimacy of building this installation in Edinburgh space. However, I am pleased to announce the good news - this creation of disregard for the nature of industrialism has been eliminated by the joint efforts of local members of the Gaian movement, and I personally had the honor of assisting in this glorious act from the deck of the GSS-Swordfish.

Greetings, comrades,

If you haven't checked the recruitment, I'm Gillian Boyle, but call me Gil - I'm an Bretonian ex-politician and ex-professor of Political Science, and now dedicated to the cause of the Gaians. As we speak, my personal ship, a Shire, the Warrington, is on its way to Torshavn Space Port as well. With the rest of my funds I will also purchase a ship that is more representative of my objective within our faction.

As your leadership knows, I am committed to strengthening our alliances and mending broken ties, and mend broken alliances. It is my utmost priority to do these things, as I am a bit old to partake constantly in firing against the Planetform terrorists.
We also need to redirect how we are, and I propose the formation of:

A proper news outlet, to garner popular support as explained below;
Clear objectives, that clearly and publicly represent our values, and that our actions reflects said values. Such as proper rules of engagement given to everyone, how to behave with various convoys, ships, etc. (Not everyone is Planetform)(ROE);
The consolidation of supply lines to our various bases, ensuring we maintain a steady supply of the resources needed to maintain our operations;
A department dedicated to foreign affairs to build and repair alliances, and to engage with other factions across Sirius, solidifying our group as a legitimate force, not one that is underground;

Indeed, before I joined, we behaved as terrorists, while we are only protecting the jewel of Sirius. We are citizens first and foremost, and protecting Planet Gaia is our duty.

Indeed, openly discussing our cause, and having proper rules of engagement for example, will reflect our values and showing to the people of Sirius that we are not mere terrorists, we are not against trade, for example, or businesses, and their employees who work legitimately, and indeed, that we are defenders of Nature. We should not be in autarky, in hostile isolation and remain holed up. We need to go outward, and reach to others, and be a legitimate group, so we can garner not only popular support from our House, but from the rest of Sirius as well.

We must consolidate and secure our supply lines to maintain our strength. Our supply lines are the backbone of our operations, essential to sustaining our superior firepower compared to other groups, including unlawful factions. By ensuring the continuity of these supply chains, we guarantee the maintenance of our weapons, ships, food, and overall way of life. Our ability to fight and protect Planet Gaia depends on this foundation.

Additionally, we require a proper department to focus on foreign affairs; as I said, to mend and consolidate our relations with the rest of Sirius. Indeed, we are armed civilians, but we are civilians, and we are not driven by a vile ideology like many, we are driven by our desire to protect Nature, and Planet Gaia. We need to represent all of the stations our group has, and all of our families, our comrades, and everyone fighting alongside us. We need to be correctly represented, and even if it means setting up a more centralized form of governance.

Planet Gaia needs us, Nature needs us, and we cannot operate efficiently without the support of the people, the support of other groups, and so we can guarantee Planet Gaia's continued survival amongst a sector that keeps wishing for its own destruction.

Your elaboration on development and the future was read by me with great interest. As for your proposals, I have the following thoughts:

Re.1&2) Sub-points one and two could be problematic, because although there is a Green Party in the Bretonian parliament, it is not officially affiliated with us, and attempts by it to transmit our propaganda will likely be stifled by the censorship applied by the Crowns. It would probably have to be limited to spreading our agenda on neutral stations and in space via system messages and ship-to-ship courier shipments. Nature evolves and so do we Gaians. I believe that we won't have to reach for options of last resort as in the case of the luminous Galileans hurting our beloved planet, and therefore our cells are slowly putting aside terrorist methods. Admittedly, Planetform as well as Crayer are enemies of Nature and Mother Gaia, but all the rest of the ordinary traders and civilians could try to sensitize them to how Nature's well-being affects the common good of humanity and ask for donations to support our movement's activities. Although it is possible that in cases of aggressive responses it will still be necessary to open fire.

Re.3) Gaians) movement has a base in one of the independent systems, hopefully your Shire can help supply it. From the information I have, I also know that other Gaian members have recently set up a hydroponics station in Edinburgh. I will send you the location of our base in a separate encrypted message.

Re.4) Given your political experience, I have decided that from today you, Professor, will be the official diplomat of our movement. Congratulations and good luck in your talks with groups more or less neutral to our goals.
