Feedback for @Barrier :
- Have the Penitence beamed to the next system when reaching 500 units of the jump hole - previous event, enemies blocked the jump hole via docking in advance and some ships were lost to this.
- Its a very large target, infinite power core and engine core are nice, but IF it has components, that complicates the issue. Any swarm of Snubs, GBs or Cruisers focusing it will kill it before it leaves Frankfurt.
- Infinite shield recharge with a 20-30-60 seconds (I need to do math and I'm too tired atm for this) when the ship is rebuilding it - so the enemies can focus it - would balance the event. That way both sides have a chance - the attackers have an attack window once the shield is down of 20-30-40-50-60 seconds to do damage and the pilot can take a break once the shield is up and it has its 10 secs of 75%-95% damage reduction. Basically a shield with a cooldown to activate and infinite uses or that gets max shield for 1 Battery. This functionality implemented separately would serve well in future events.
The math that needs to be done is:
- Penitence HP
- travel distance in time at the max speed the Penitence is going resulting in the duration of the event without taking damage
- Estimated Max Damage: 10 BCs focusing it with max hull weps damage (Hailfires) or 4 Prims
> Result would be the travel distance the Penitence makes until its destroyed (estimated ofc, cause you can have more or less players dealing damage)
BUT: if you go for max players dealing damage *25 est.*, you can see how much HP you will need in future events.
I will update this once I get more ideas.
We were curious if an expeditionary force of the CORE could also interfere in the ZOI’s accepted space with this? Our plausible reason is that we keep relatively close tabs ( as much as we can in rp to justify not us shadow logging but rather having general ideas of mass fleet movements and a general estimate trajectory) . We want to also increase the activity related to this event and also to have the possibility to establish our presence and to attempt to deal a crippling blow to the Corsair and other enemies in our ZOI.
If our presence is accept we will indeed allign our expeditionary forces to match a fair level of gameplay and we will not chase indefinitely in an attempt to brake the game, but rather we want to provide active players that do not resonate with maybe the other factions present but want to participate.
We also want to add if we can register one battleship as the spearhead of this opportunity, and then we are going to limit ourselfs to what will fit the general level of the event, if there are 5 cruisers we are going to bring a force equal/if the majority of the ships are bombers/snubs and gbs we want to match that force

Basically, my opinion is that you cannot know general fleet movements at all, even if they are within your ZOI. At most you will get a small indicator before an assault or retreat, and hope that you have assets in place to react. The moves made at the dispositional level basically happen based on educated guesswork. Since Core does not have ZOI in Dresden or any nearby assets, they're unlikely to know about this, or to be able to do anything about it if they somehow learned.
However, I'm always interested in seeing people create RP. So if you can roleplay out a comm with one of the listed factions, or write out a good story about gathering intel, I will consider you adding to the config. I've done this before with different events, and I currently made this offer to The Wild. But you can always participate as long as you follow event rules and the server rules (mainly about ZOI and metagaming). I rarely forbid factions from participating, but not being on the config means you won't get access to any rewards for doing so.
Regarding battleships/dreadnoughts: only the immediate combatants and their allies are getting them. This is to better represent the story where no one else has assets in the exact place at the right time to blockade the route, and to reduce heavy cap spam which often worsens gameplay during convoy events. So you won't be getting one, sorry.

we understand and we are glad you have came to us in such a short time to clarify, we will be working towards this but we will not make a major case in the sense that we do not want to over step the boundaries of what is realistic and possible. We are under our ZOI , but we have no plausible care, but rather out intend was to help in increasing the numbers as we generally can bring numbers, but doesn’t allign directly to what we are doing.
