Getting to Canaria today was a great relief after yesterdays miserable attempts, i'm happy with the end result of 21-1.
Oh and Antonio, you're truly a real sadist. Kudos

Did it first try, zero deaths, ts too easy.

jk I just followed speedrunners through the maze. The rest of it was easy though. Corsair cruisers with CDs was a little cruel.

I'll do something about my superiority complex when I cease to be superior.

Cool concept, but too punishing and not enough time allocated. Too much time wasted cruising hundreds of klicks just to get to the actual interesting parts. I'm curious how many people actually managed it without help from others or cheating.

Since this wasn't an actual race of who gets to Gran Canaria first, I don't understand why the event couldn't have been active for the entire weekend. You had the Roussillon event active for 2 weeks, but only allocated 6 hours in total for this one, in a weird time slot where most people aren't even at home during the day.

If you are participating in the Royal Flush event today, please begin creating your ships so we can ensure even numbers before beginning.

Reposting here for conn meetup: login, go to conn, type in system chat, and then get over to New Haven and wait there for a minute to show off. Then you can relog onto another unique ship.

I find myself echoing the frustration with the limited time-frame.

I think it would be neat if there's a "2nd chance" time frame for the Omega Survivor event, with a 12-hour+ window on the 5th, 6th and 7th. Especially since the server kept crashing. I think I had to run that Omega-97 maze five times due to constant server crashes. Kept getting close to the end but then "RIP Server's Down, again - Time to get flung back to the Maze Start!"

Edit: That being said, once the server stabilized I had quite a bit of fun! Ended up forming a duo with someone part way through the maze, and had a good time doing some RP banter between panicked moments of avoiding hostile cruiser patrols!!

Finally finding a base with REPAIRS was a BIG sigh of relief.

I don't think I've ever seen Gran Canaria so darn b-e-a-utiful, before!

I did, in fact, have to get up at 6am for this. Not only am I a NA player, I am also a noon to 4am individual, and even participating in this meant I had to wake up 6 hours earlier than I normally do. Incredibly painful. At least the events have all been nice.

I had a lot of fun in the Omegas because I got to skip the maze by following speedrunners. I imagine that the gravity thing in the center of the maze would have been horrible while I was looking for the lights.

I had more than a lot of fun in the snac event, I felt emotions I forgot I knew how to feel. It was euphoric. Ideally, next time you run something like this, perhaps temporarily add ships and capships with old balance stats, I notice that snacs had much more effectiveness against BCs than I personally think they should have due to the nature of components, and the memories of the powerful 3LM LABC probably should have terrorized the Valors much more than they did. Not sure if there's a way to copypaste files from old versions. My only regret is that I didn't snac that Patriot.

Basking in the glory of @Igiss was a blessed experience. I heard a lot of people had audio troubles, I would like to know if it was recorded for those people.

I'll do something about my superiority complex when I cease to be superior.

I think this would be great. Some people didn't make it in time and I'd love to have a chance to do this with them.

I want to say thank you for organising the anniversary events, they were an actual blast.

Omega Survivors was extremely cool and allowed us to experience and explore in the best way possible (petrified and knowing that antonio designed things to kill you, and you have 10% hp, no nanobots, and a dream).

Leeds VR was a massive nostalgia piece and honestly hilariously canonical to how it went. The little tidbits in infocards was a very good touch too. I loved flying a SNAC bomber again like back in the day. I hope similar recreations happen at some point.

And it was nice to hear and learn from Igiss and hear the man who started it all in Discovery.

10/10
