Do large ships (Cap ships and trader vessels) catch fire player wise?

Like say when an NPC takes alot of damage they catch fire.

Do we do that too or do we just explode?

But umm... I'm pretty sure they just explode. That's my experience with a year of bombing at least.

All vanilla ships do, save capital ships maybe. (Prison liner for example)

Custom ships MAY catch fire if they have the explosion fuses. The fuses meaning the effects. They are relatively easy to add to ships too.

Really depends on the ship though.

Yeah, it'd be cool if they'd burn too like fighters do when they get a hull breach.

I saw on youtube that other mods have done it. I don't see why Discovery coudln't.

Not sure how the fuses work 100% but I have a feeling they MAY be related to hardpoints. In which case any additional hardpoints added to current models (such as the Osiris) would need a playerwipe.
Of course, could just make a system that no one can get to, dump a few stations in there and move the 'old' Osiris model there after making everyone switch to the new one (with added hardpoints)

The liberty cruiser DOES catch fire for sure, so its not only fighters. Maybe try going to Conneticut and have someone shoot you till your hull is at about 10%...

I've also seen one where LB cruiser slowly explodes from the view of operator!!!!!!!!!
Can't find it tho.
