I think I hit the jackpot. Over the past...1 day (ITS BEEN TOO LONG!) I have been without a computer. Ol' Reliable ain't so reliable anymore, and he bit the dust last night. I now have multiple problems.
1.) I am running Windows Vista
2.) I have NO way to access my characters.
<strike>3.) I do not have a Freelancer ISO anymore.</strike> I have it on my flashdrive! YIPPEE!
Before you all tell me to PM the admins, I need to know one thing: Can I simply have my FLAM Account ID sent to me? Or just have my characters transfered, Please. I would REALLY hate to have to go through this again... I would have to start in....New York.....I CAN'T HANDLE THAT!
My character(s) are:
[Horon]~Thomas.Merrill (This is the only char I really need...)
[FL]~Thomas.Merrill + [FL]~Thomas.Merrill (I know for sure that at least one of them is not spelled that way, there are I's substituted for L's in there, and I have no way to figure it out. I hope I don't have to pay the admins 50 million credits, I have been through enough in the past 24 hours....seriously.)
Gotta go, Installing a driver.
While being quite funny, your sig was the biggest one i've ever seen so far. No more than 700x250 please. ~utrack http://pastebin.com/SYQXBufs
His PC died. No way to get them now. Unless, of course, he attempts some convoluted Hive migrations, which would likely not work due to XP/Vista differences.

If you're only using one account then (obviously as a pro-active backup, before your computer breaks) there's a start menu shortcut that shows you the ID - no registry searching required:
Microsoft Games --> Freelancer --> Examine my account ID
For peace of mind, email it to a webmail account immediately:)The key can then be re-entered the first time you go to Multiplayer after reinstalling Freelancer on a different/reformatted computer.
No longer active online due to a dwindling amount of non-PvP (trading, pirating, mining, etc.) fun in the new version.
The hard drive still works, but I cant seem to connect it to my new computer. Perhaps I can convince the Admins to ban my account until I can retrieve my keys?
EDIT: Yea I backed up my keys to a floppy drive. Unfortunately, this computer doesn't have one. I took it to school to view it and write it down, but...the floppy disk is corrupted..
