//Now that the faction has been 'founded', with a small group of players currently running our tag, I'm putting up this thread for recruitment to bolster our numbers.
Union Members are required to read and understand Union regulations thoroughly. The following message boards are required for all potential members:
For ease of understanding, the following lists the primary rules that all junker's union members must follow:
1. No Piracy is tolerated*
2. No Smuggling of contraband is tolerated**
3. No Members are to leave Union Operating space***
* - The use of piracy tactics in order to remove non-union ships from the bornholme, Kreuzberg, and Yanagi Scrap Collection Fields is tolerated, but protocol must be followed:
a) Demand that the ship drop all scrap metal and junker pilots from his hold for retrieval by Union members
b) Demand that the ship leave the debris field
c) If the ship refuses to depart the area, demand payment of 5 million credits for the endangerment of Junker ships and stations, and for disregard for Union authority.
d) If the ship refuses to pay, use of deadly force to remove the vessel from junker territory is authorized. Alert the nearest junker base to send salvage crews for equipment recovery from the violating vessel's wreckage.
** - Occasionally some cargo which is considered contraband by lawful forces may need to be moved between junker stations. This must be approved by the head of the Union - Christopher Thorn - before such cargo movement takes place.
*** - Union space Includes the following systems:
New Berlin
Frankfurt
Dresden
stuttgarg
Omega 15
Omega 41
Sigma 13
Munich
Hamburg
Hudson
Bering
Union members needing to reach the puerto rico system must contact the head of the Union - Christopher Thorn - who will then impart information on, and authorization to use, jump hole routes that avoid liberty space.

1. Legal Trade:
The Junker's Union runs two standard trade routes at this point in time:
Route 1:
-Acquire Diamonds at Bornholme Depot, Omega 15
-Ship Diamonds to Beaumont Base, Texas System
-Acquire Scrap Metal at Beaumont Base, Texas System
-Ship Scrap Metal to Bornholme Depot, Omega 15
Note: It is advised that all liberty patrols along this route be avoided. While the route does not directly interfere with the Liberty-Rheinland trade embargo, as the diamonds brought into Beaumont are used for the manufacture of Mining Equipment by Junkers in the area, Liberty naval and police patrols are known for ignoring matters of economics and business when it comes to dealing with Junkers.
Route 2:
-Acquire Engine Components at The Ring, New Berlin System
-Ship Engine Components to Planet Cambridge, Cambridge System
-Acquire Beryllium at Cardiff Mining Facility, Cambridge System
-Ship Beryllium to The Ring, New Berlin System
2. Salvage Operations:
Salvage is the primary task of the Junker's Union. Scrap metal is collected from the numerous scrap fields in new berlin, sigma 13, and Omega 15, and is shipped to Bornholme Depot for smelting; after which it is re-sold to Rheinland Companies as starship construction material.
Any salvage that is in good enough condition to be repurposed - such as weapons, ammunition, ship equipment, and derelict cargo - may be sold aboard Bornholme, Kreuzberg, or Yanagi for re-sale to customers - legal or otherwise.
3. Guard Pilots:
It is suggested that only experienced fighter and bomber pilots apply for the position of Junker Guard Duty. Guard pilots are expected to conduct weekly training activities to maintain proper combat skills. Guard Pilots must provide their own combat craft, which are limited to Fighter, Bomber, and Freighter classifications.
The duties of a guard pilot include:
-Vacating non-junkers from salvage fields in order to protect salvage operations
-Defending Junker Stations against hostile attackers
-Enforcing the 5000 meter Cease-Fire zone around Bornholme, Kreuzberg, and Yanagi Depots.
NOTE: As was pointed out (and I was aware of it) - Our legal trade routes listed above do not match up with our controlled territory.
Junker's Union members who wish to trade, rather than salvage or remain on base defense as guards, are permitted to travel into texas and cambridge for the purposes of trade only. Unfortunately there are no valid trade routes which are restricted entirely to rheinland space, so we must resort to inter-house trade to make a profit in that manner.
If I find more RP-valid trade routes, the list of routes will be updated.
