With "H-Fuel" text 3171 polygons.

Without text 2867 polygons.

With japanese symbols i estimate ca. 4000 polygons.

@ Tenacity: Samura sounds logical, since built on Yokohama and i would, but the [Kishiro] transport division of [KNF] might use it to, if they do not switch to Jinx' Container Transport.

More and more i drift to the "no text" side. Its the best compromise and not so important, even if it would have more character with any symbols.

I still think having hardpoints for the train/transport container pods would be best.

What about when using the japanese words written in english lettering? I would think it'd be around the same poly count as H-Fuel.. Depending on word length.

4k polygons is no prob, i think - the bretonian battleship has 8500 and even having 10 of them on one screen will not cause even older computers to break a sweat.

It looks nice! It looks sleeker than the current version.

I think SAMURA on the side would be great, if not the fancy H-Fuel. It is supposed to have been built by Samura for quite some time, right? The cargo pod idea would be great, too, though.

In any case, I have one now, and I want one of these for sure now!

Nah, don't use Samura. All of Kusari, and even the GMG fly the Big Dragon. It would make no sense for Kishiro to fly ships with "Samura" plastered over them. Also, I'd suggest simply modelling the japanese "fuel" translation onto the ship. Shouldn't be hard, just import the text into photoshop, save as path then import to the model to get a nice spline you can extrude. That is unless the 3d editor itself doesn't have a text editor. A five minute job at any rate.

It's a samura ship, built by samura. Kishiro does use it, though only because it's a well built transport. the GMG should not be using this ship at all, they have their own transport already.

Here comes the funny part:

When i submitted the first model to Igiss i also sent a development history and technical description.

Quote:Heavy Transport KTDC 1500 Big Dragon

Not long ago officials from Kishiro and the GMG came together. The reason was the development of a new transport vessel for the GMG by Kishiro. Cause of the heavy losses the GMG suffered to outcasts and corsairs, they had to realize, that they will need a new ship, able to fend off fighter and even gunboat attacks.
The development was payed by GMG so the technicians and engineers of Kishiro have taken the chance to create a multipurpose vessel, which will be possible to fulfil the demands of different customers.
The result was impressive. A heavy armoured and armed ship based on a modular design.
The first what impresses the viewer is the big ram on the front, which will only be used as a last resort. It has its roots in the history and ethic of the Kusari culture. They used a suicide attack in hopeless situations. On the top of the ram is a turret mount to. The next is the mainframe hidden between all the modules. It has a triangle form and contains the main engine core. Besides this, normally two swivel engines are mounted. They are only for combat to increase the manoeuvrability. Downside the swivel engines two very heavy armoured fuel modules are mounted, which can be thrown away, if they gets damaged. On these fuel modules are mounted: the dragon wings (which work as solar cells), antennas in an abstract blade design and turrets (one on each).
The two things of the crew module, which have to be explained, are the radio dome. It is right behind the bridge and the fact that the crew module can work as an emergency shuttle. This is only for the case, that all other parts are out of work and the whole ship is inoperable. To do so the crew module and the connector bar between mainframe and ram (contains an emergency engine) decouple from the mainframe. The bridge downside, which connects crew and cargo module decouples from the cargo module. Now the rescue shuttle is ready to take off but to remind, only for a short distance.
As you can see this ship is unmatchable in its flexibility and proved its worth against outcasts. The only handicap is the price. It is too expansive for smaller shipping companies.

Some of the technical explanations do not make sense today, but they did, when i planned to use the same vessel for the Dragon cruiser, just replacing the tanks on the left side with a forward gun.
Oh and this description also explains the H-Fuel text, either on the older model.

Igiss made another decision, due to Doom's Gas Miner vessel.

I do not want any npc faction sign, Rather i give a try to the H-FUEL japanese symbols.

Samura = Win

Kishiro = Phail Epicly

Some say that he is allergic to a fungus found only between the toes of Corsairs,
and that he is oblivious to 98% of Liberty Law. All we know is...

He's called the Busdriver!
