Given that the admin team here do what they do for us, the user, and they do it voluntarily, I regard them worthy of our praise.
They are worthy of praise when they do something praiseworthy, but they also should rightfully draw criticism when they don't meet the standards one would expect.
If you read the sanction threads for instance you often see where some admins take little insulting barbs at the people they sanction. That's uncalled for and it sometimes makes sanctions seem personal instead of professional. That should stop.

Thanks for hijacking a tread.
Next time make your own. HOW admins can Improve. or what you will call it.
I am not a native English Speaker, so i make grammar errors.
But it annoys me when people make silly comments about that... especially brits who for the most part can't speak their own language let alone anyone elses!

And they do. You happen to be especially keen on it, but I can't think of anyone who hasn't gotten unhappy with the admins when they mess up (myself included). And they do mess up, they're only human after all.

Even pvp whores sporting tizzies and krakens and re-engaging left and right, people using mods, and people swearing all over the place are still people... I wouldn't mind seeing a little more professionalism on the sanctions, a little chide on the worse offenses keeps the admins sane I suppose but... yeah, it gets over the top a bit. And it isn't hard to find cases where such talk has gotten the offender royally peeved and keen on some choice words that lead to all kinds of sour feelings...
Thank you for a constructive post. And when I went back and checked the other thread, I was quite happy to see a nice pretty proton, even if it wasn't what I had in mind at first. Thank you, may this trend continue.
As for the original intent of this, yeah, none of us can fully appreciate how much work the admins do. Quality judgments aside, at the end of the day they spend way too much of their free time trying to help us have fun, and that's something worthy of delicious cake. Even if the cake is a lie, it's still delicious... right?

well yeah...but there are to few admins. I know... I know... they had reinforcements a while ago but its still not enough. Seeing poor Xoria so busy that he can only reply to 40% of my messages makes me sad. I would like to help him but im not authorized nor experienced in that matter. They need to spend less time on some tasks. leave it up for new admins. They do too much work, so they mess up quite a lot. But i still agree that it deserves a nice big spaceship styled cake.;)
YUS! Go admins. Even though I haven't been playing recently... Oh well. They're still doing a good job by my count.

You mean your standards? Listen, I lost 60 mill from an account deletion (Oh yus... My characters weren't frozen during a 2 month ban) so please narrow down your pessimism with every thread containing "admin" within its confines. Life goes on. Incidentally, Ob-la-di... Mayhap Ob-la-da, I'll have to take it up with the Yellow Submarine.

Ohhnoo not a yellow submarine. I prefere the Boss:cool:
Listen guys and girls.
If you have any Negative vibes, its ok but make a new tread.
This one is made for us tha actually follow rules and want to tell the admins, that we app the work they do
so that we have a good place to game in.
Sadly i dont think that you guys understand it, but try to Respect it.

The standards of professionalism predate me, and while they may vary slightly between organizations and individuals I think most people would come up with a pretty common set of standards that an admin should follow.
I think most would agree that civility and fair dealing are desired from an admin staff.
I think most of us would agree that admins who take cheap shots at people in sanction threads don't meet those standards, even though most of us can recognize that it's probably fun to do so.
