I take it you have a Hogosha char, yes Junkers should be engaged by the Hogosha on sight.
Quote:6.6 PvP combat is allowed only on roleplay basis. The pilot who is attacking must scan for an ID prior to the attack. Relying on general reputation status (red/neutral/green) without scanning for the ID is not allowed.
However someone using the Trader ID is not a Junker purely based of the IFF by the current rules, I'am actually agreeing with you that the generic Trader ID is a loop hole. However a 10 million demand is unreasonable and Hoodlum along time ago warned players that making an unreasonable demand expecting it to be refused so you can make the other player go "BOOM" would incur a sanction.
Again the generic ID's should be removed and a Junker IFF should carry a Junker ID, but until they are dont over-step the current rules just because these players annoy you. Hell if you start doin that, trader ID's will just drop the Junker IFF anyway, it's easy enough to drop all your green factions and fly around with no IFF if your a trader/smuggler anyway.
I would like someone to show me some evidence of the Junkers being "Quasi-Legal" Because I cant find any reference to it. What I do find is this:
Quote:
Most House corporations consider the Junkers to be
simple criminals, but Junkers will occasionally do favors for the police, turning in the odd, mid-level criminal or letting them know about
the occasional drug shipment. So despite some harassment, the police stop short of shutting them down. The infrequent police cleanup
operations are little more than exercises in public relations, though there's no love lost between the two groups.
This does not say they are "Quasi-Legal" It says, that they sometimes tip off the police, which is why they are not shut down. Doesn't sound like a legal group if the only reason they are around is the police dont feel like shutting them down.
Edit @ spear
As the leader of the AFA, I know exactly what the rules are concerning this, and I dont find 10 mil to be an outrageous amount to demand, it is probably the same amount they will make on the run. It shows people that there is absolutely no profit to be made for a junker running things through Kusari. I just said it wouldn't be paid, because no one here stick to RP and values life over money, so they will refuse and die, as opposed to pay and live.
You left out this part: Most House corporations consider the Junkers to be simple criminals, but Junkers will occasionally do favors for the police, turning in the odd, mid-level criminal or letting them know about the occasional drug shipment.
No mention of being Pirates by the way anywhere. At the most the NPC Junkers will demand scrap metal and that is why its in their ID that they can demand cargo.

Yes but the wiki is player written, not part of the Game cannon, so why not give me an example of some type from the in-game infocards, or rumors or something like that.

The IDs are not game cannon. They were made up by the players here.
Edit: No in game rumors or infocards say Junkers are pirates.

Yes but the ID's are made up by Igiss and are his idea of what the factions should be. The wiki is the opinion of members of the Community and is not to be taken as official fact. But the facts remain that you have to go by the ID. The game cannon and the wiki both say the FA are terrorists not pirates, but the ID says we are pirates and not terrorists, so the AFA has to abide by that. We would be sanctioned if w took the RP over the ID rules huh? So why is it that junkers can define themselves with player made RP that ignores the in-game cannon?
No where in game does it say Junkers are "quasi legal" it says they are petty criminals. What about makes them "Quasi Legal"?

For me the simple fact that Junkers are permitted to dock on house planets is exactly why they are "Quasi-Legal" A Junker that collects garbage all day is not the same as a Junker that randomaly pirates. Junkers should only be engaged by the BH if they are in the act of a crime or a bounty has been played on that specific player.

cease right now.
The next one that crosses our desk, will be stomped on so hard, you will be needing a bulldozer to scrape
your ship into the air.
Is this perfectly clear now ?
Thank you all for time and trouble ladies and gentlemen.
Hoodlum
I do consider 10 Million to an unreasonable demand I'm afraid, your not encouraging RP by making it easier for the trader to say "Ahh just blow me up, my cargos only worth 1.5m mill anyway". Thats what will happen if you demand that amount. Some traders do RP and pay, but not at that tax level.

Spear, The AFA have been around for a while, and have (knock on wood) never been sanctioned for anything, so I am confident in the fact that we are playing the game with-in the rules of the game. Just because you consider an amount to be unreasonable, does not make it so. I consider it to be very reasonable because you can finish your route and still make a profit. Also, the fact that we players let junkers dock on house planets should allow us to ignore all the in-game information that says they are criminals?

Well Igiss added info to the discovery wiki. But I don't know if he has approved it. I would think so tho.

Spear stop thinking like me please =P
But I agree is the police let you land on thier planet I dont see how you are an Unlawful. They would not let a Corsair land on Manhattan.
