IMG/Order Relations?

Looking to get my order character running again, but I dont want to back out and buy a cruiser until 4.85 is around, and my income isnt all that great with mining broken at the moment and my JU faction stance on no smuggling.

So... Thinking gunboat. I'd prefer not to use the corsair GB for an order commander, it just doesnt look high tech enough - but the only other available option is the IMG GB.

Now, as far as I know it isnt an OORP ship choice, but I want to confirm it here first. Corsairs are somewhat allied with IMG against the outcasts, order are on the corsair side of the conflict, and we're closely allied with zoners who (I think) get along with IMG. We're also allied with the hogosha, who are in fairly good with samura - and the planet that sells the IMG GB is samura-owned.

So... yes, no?

I think its possible, Zoner ship would be better, but yeah it wont be around till next version... So IMG should do the work I guess. Corsair may be better for Order...but I agree it looks little dirty and more Brute that tech...

If I had an Order character I know I'd make a GB of - I'd prefer the Corsair toolbox, but if not that one - I'd take the IMG one without second thoughts. Seeing as the IMG is making equipment for whomever can pay for it...

Untill 4.85 - I wouldn't see absolutely anything bad about an Order pilot using a flatboat. Later - the Order will have specific ships...

Thing about the Zoner Gb is it has 4 turrets, that's it.

under normal circumstances, order and IMG would have NOTHING to do with each other. but meh, since CR uses the IMG ID _and_ nomad and order guns (*throws rocks at them*) its not a biggy, i guess.

Actually, IMG are explorers (besides mining), and Order is in the edge worlds.
I see it as highly possible for the two factions to meet or even cooperate.
But no, I don't think IMG Gunboat is a good choice for an Order char.
Order are allies to the Corsairs for one reason only. Exchange of tech.
So, lunchbox goes there, if you ask me.

I'd advise caution though. Remember, Corsairs are technically neutral to IMG yet Zelot got sanctioned for using Tigershark (the decision to sanction was IMO stupid, but yeah). Order might be considered in same category, though chances are bigger since they are quasi-lawful.

I hightly doubt that a top secret anti-alien organization would allow any random miner looking for new rocks in and drink some tee with him while exchanging some weapons. in our case, it only goes with the CR-Corsair connection and dusty's "lunch box theory".

I'm fairly certain that "Exchange of tech" is one way, since the corsairs have no technology that the order can benefit from.
