this one will totally work like traditional falks..
we keep our flaks now(missile type weapon)..and only need to make a few changes..
1st change: speed of the ammo change to 1500m/s (instant reach the speed of 1500m/s after fire by the turret,)(why is 1500m/s? so it can have the similar lead with the regular BS turret, it has a seeker so it can blow up at the mid-air)
2nd change: Seeking range(seeker range)..1.5K
3rd change: Turn rate = 0
4th change: Explosion radius 100m
5th change: self explode distance from the target = 70m (in weapon_equip.ini-------detonation_dist =)..
so...this weapon will acts like a regular gun but with explosion effect and explosion damage and is the real flak..
we got a balanced and working Flak gun for the next update already, already tested.
its a short range, proximity charge that is good to create a screen of blast damage around the battleships to punish any fighter class that comes too close.
Sorry for the grave dig guys but heres a question.
Will only lawful Battleships have flaks? Or will a basic flak gun be created for everyone to use lawful and unlawful alike?
I just always wondered about the little problem you know.....
if you make bs flaks rape fighters and bombers with little effort (like those listed on the start do).... why would anyone fly something else than a BS?
=> 5 BS will win over 5 bombers..... what's keeping those 5 bomber pilots from using 5 bs as well?

Yes, they should be able to do so if they have appropriate skill and the battleships have no escorts. The entire point is that battleships are not vessels that are invulnerable on their own, they are meant to be used in fleet battles mostly.. either that or their captains accept that they are a good target while operating alone - which will basically never happen, since only the Order ever uses Osirises alone in hostile territory.
