I know a great deal of the ships in Discovery that were imported from other universes are going to be replaced, and Im quite happy about 99% of those replacements....

But theres' several ships Id love to see kept regardless of future changes to the mod, future additions, or future submissions.

First, the Arwing. I would love to see it fixed, possibly retextured, then left forever as a monument to the greatness of Starfox and the ships therein. Please, I beg you, dont change its model. :)

Second the Outcast destroyer, its practically iconic now, and its fits the role so well. Im even willing and already in the process of making Outcast specific textures for it. Save our destroyer!

Thirdly, and not nearly as important, but still...
Id like to see the Taiidan ships renamed and re-infocarded, their sell points moved to Kusari,
and retextured and kept as GMG ships.
They have *great* style, and as Im about to demonstrate with some textures I also made for them, they can fit into the freelancer universe quite well given the chance and the proper textural aid.

So... do you agree? disagree? want to add other ships to this little begging petition?:D

They are bugged in this version, but useable, its just that most people cant live with the bugs. (understandably so. but Im too fanatic t resist...)
Also, theyre a Corsair ship sold on a reeeeeemote base in '41 so unless you frequent that area youre even less likely to see the few in operation.

Honestly, I dont care who makes it so long as I can buy it, I dont care how its textured so long as it looks cool, or where its sold so long as I can get there, or how much it costs, or whats in its infocard, just so its there! :cool:

The bugs are, as I understand, CMs dont work, and weapons are invisible to all but the user.

The Arwing...

It's bugged, it's meshes are reversed, and it does not fit with the mod in any way (the Colonial Vipers fit more on the import-fit scale).

Nothing of value will be lost if it is removed or replaced with a fitting model.

Edit: Not to mention it's original creator/FL importer is out of contact. That makes the chances of fixing it even lower.

Actually, theres few ships I hate *more* than the imported BSG ones, all of them....:P
(the only ones I hate more are the imported star wars ones... not that I dislike either series *shrugs*)

Stylistically speaking it doesnt fit as well as most of the vanilla ships (Id say it fits way better than the SW/BSG ships but not as well as the homeworld ships modelwise)
But thats first a texture issue, and second a question of placing it with a faction that has a similar style (its sharp edges fit better in a Kusari line maybe... or maybe it should be a one-time one-ship non-faction civillian fighter sold at a freeport. a Freelancer ship.)

The bugs are not difficult fixes for those with the skill and tools. so they're no excuse. :rolleyes:
