Remind me again why you hate Liberty so much? I asked you before, but I can't remember the topic where I asked you, so I never read your reply.
Also, the blockade is the result of all those things everyone said here I think. First, Rheinland finds proof that Liberty does secret (and probably illegal) experiments on Nomads. Then a RM fleet invades the border of Liberty. Tensions were already strained when Rheinland found out about the Liberty experiments on Nomads and the RM invasion was probably the breaking point for Liberty. First they're accused, and then the RM denies moving ships into New Hampshire and those other systems I can't remember. Both sides are at fault. Liberty experimented with Nomads while Rheinland denied about invading Liberty, even though they did.
As for the war reparations, I never heard anything about that until now, so I don't know how they fit in here, but judging from the other posts, it seems Rheinland started the problems with the reparations. I don't think they even finished paying Liberty for the 80-Years War and now they have to pay for the Nomad War.

It's funny how people will say just about anything... *sigh*

First, the embargo is bilateral. Up until now, I had my Wrath in Bering ONCE to go after a trader that tried to break the embargo. I did open fire upon the trader, it was a fierce fight as it can be from a VHF without a mini razor against a mining ship (which was being used as a cargo hauler). All the while I stopped firing to tell the guy to turn around. Finally, when his ship was about to get destroyed, he saw reason and turned around.

Actually, there were quite a number of incidents. First the alleged incursion of Rheinland forces into Liberty border systems. I'm pretty sure it was a sham orchestrated by the Lane Hackers to make the Liberty government look bad (as if it didn't already)...

...then there was the whole 522nd "recon mission" fiasco in New Berlin. Then the 522nd were extradited of Liberty and settled in Omega-15. Not only the group were too close to Rheinland to the RM's liking, they were starting getting too close to the Omega-15 Junkers and apparently the Harvesters. A number of reports from the captain of the Schwerin and from pilots coming from that area corroborated to that. Two RM ships were sent to the Schwerin to investigate. There, the 522nd group were spotted engaged in a friendly discussion with some Harvester ships and our ships also spotted what looked like a legitimate Libertonian vessel in their midst. If that wasn't enough, the Libertonians challenged our vessels and the whole thing spiralled into a fight between their fleet and our two ships. A third RM ship reached the area after the fight had started. In the end, the RM conquered the battle...

Don't expect to hear anything about Border skirmishes. Neither group's navy heads into the border systems... So yeah nothing ever there. And don't BS with one cause every time I request assistants for dealing with pirates in those systems, I get a cop out from the LN that they don't operate there.
...THEN... Liberty sent a drone spy ship to Rheinland on a couple of occasions in which it managed to elude our forces. At a subsequent encounter, one of our cruisers and it's fighter escort managed to locate and engage the ship. The ship was decided to escape, so it led the RM forces on a wild chase across three Rheinland systems before it reached Bering. There, the RM forces managed to corner the ship, with the cruiser blockading the jump gate between Bering and Texas while its fighter escort went after the ship. Worried that maintaining the blockade too long would do more harm than risking the ship escape, the cruiser moved away from the jump gate, which ended up giving enough room for the fleeing ship to manage the jump to Liberty space before it was destroyed by the combined fire of the cruiser and the fighter engaging it.
Yeah, nothing happens...
And no, the stories won't conform to please people that are bored and want another excuse to PvP.
