Like I said I think we've (Igiss + DiscoveryGC) Already played the "New House" Card. If were gonna inject any more of other nations into Disco I think it will just have to be the remote base here and there named after certain cities

Would love for the Molly's to become a proper mini-nation, not a 'pirate' faction.
You have to read up on the UOG, as far as I know they were implementing just that.

We like Feedback just like everybody else. Word has it everybody dislikes us, yet no one ever tells us why. I hope you could.

A thing about Hungary. It became very radically anti-commintern due to various reasons (socialists keeps calling the democrats communist ex-agents and vice-versa)... I think they would rather die in the first line of the Alliance's forces than to join the Coalition. They're a bit too proud and they never really forget nor forgive. Most of them a bit dislike the Romanians and Serbians as well (but not all of them), and their membership in the Coalition's nations could only awake the Hungarians' nationalism. I think they chosen the side of the Alliance, not the Coalition, so probably fell for the cause... but what if a small fleet survived the War, enough to create a small faction inside one of the Houses? It would be also an interesting idea, or not? If yes, I know some names and surnames to help if need.

I am writting a background story for a greek faction for fun.
I have also modeled out their ships.
to be frank, we could add in many more nations left out behind. Freelancer, wants it or not, tried to portray the world (or rather, the western world) in a futurist environment of colonial space era. Well I dont see why we cant add in the more minor factions, and the eastern bloc could help by having a real house by itself instead of a small coalition.
But this comes from someone who denies the extended intro.
I was thinking of writing a background story for a possible nomadic-styled arabian factions after my Hellenian League project would be done.

Slight problem: The Greeks appear to be covered by both Zoners and Corsairs. The Zoners have Corinth, Corfu and Sparta, all Greek. The Corsairs have Crete, which is also Greek. They seem reasonably well covered.
Also, the Eastern blocs would probably best be represented by multiple factions, much like the West is. If included (not happening), they would likely split up like the Alliance did, sort of like the Sino-Soviet split (the Cold War, after all, had three sides or more, not two.).
Of course, the greek are slightly covered by the corsairs, but as I said, I am writting this for fun. Plus, I feel the greek, who held so much cultural background, were heavily neglected when FL decided to merely merge them with the hispanic. The Greeks could have made one hell of an interesting faction by itself, with all its legends, myths and epic battles. A space-version of ancient Greece sounded fun to me.
Also I'd agree with a splited coalition houses. But then again, I dont really know what Igiss is planning or not for the mod.

The problem is that Freelancer is based on reasonably modern politics on a global scale. Generally, Greece has not been a major player in global politics in the past two or three hundred years, so should not have any major faction. Corsair and Zoner bases should cover it, right?
Plus, many of the major Greek places have been covered. Sparta is Zoner, as is Corinth and Corfu. Crete is Corsair, as is Alexandria (technically Macedonian, but near enough). All that's missing are the like of Athens and Troy. Not much point, really. There are other places that would be much better being covered, such as Italy (Outcasts aren't Italian, for the record).
Is Japan that active on global politic? I'm not a political student so I'll trust your sayings, however, it could still be interesting to add variety. And representing "the rest of the world" merely by showing them in the generic zoner category seems a bit boresome.

It has been in the past hundred years. World War Two and all that. It's still a reasonably strong player economically, being a G8 member, for instance, having a strong economy.
' Wrote:I say we should add in more bases named after North African locales. The Corsair dreadnought Algiers, anyone?;)After all, we already have Tripoli...
If not Corsair, this may prove interesting in Gallia. Also, other African locations might be well suited for Bretonia. I think that various Commonwealth locations would be great for Bretonian Borderworld bases, controlled by factions linked to Bretonia such as BMM, IMG or criminal or trader factions. The same would apply to places in Francophonie nations and Gallic bases, as would Latin American bases being linked to Outcasts, Corsairs or Junkers.
