I argue against this for one main reason.
The people of Sirius have had 800 years to grow and prosper. Yet the nations you speak of haven't appeared at all. 200 years is long enough for a nation's culture to change, 800 is far longer. By this stage I'd say they have been assimilated into the greater House culture since no mention of them can be found in the game, whether in news or rumours or even station names.
If you want to create nations out of nowhere, then I say we have the Byzantine Empire appearing again.
' Wrote:You just can't imagine anything I posted, why are you sure that there were no Hungarian, Croatian, nor Greek
officers in the Alliance
There were obviously Greeks in the Alliance. Hence Planet Crete.
The Croats and Hungarians were most likely Coalition. If there were defections, which is possible, the Hungarians at least would join Rheinland and become absorbed into Rheinland.
So, if there were Coalition Houses, thee might be room for Hungary-based unlawful factions, for instance, but that's a non-issue, since, like it or not, there won't be Coalition Houses.

Yeah, and in Vanilla Campaign there were french surnames (or Catalan, I'm no sure) in the Rheinland Military, I've got screenshots too.
Anyway, I never mentioned to create a lawful Coalition House, despite the thread. I only responded to Xing's idea.

No offense, but I don't think that would be such a good idea. First of all, if we add too many houses, then the houses will start to diminish in power because there are a lot of em. Also, most of the countries you named are already in factions in the game, or that they just wouldn't go well RP-wise. Nice initiative, but I think we should stick to the four we have now and Gallia in 4.85. No, you won't get banned for the idea, but I think it's a no-go.
THEY TOLD ME I COULD BE ANYTHING SO I BECAME A SIGNATURE PLS HLP
' Wrote:So? In Germany you have people with French surnames today. What's the big deal?
What should it be? I just mentioned, is it a problem?
Now that you mention, it could be related to what you told about swallowing cultures. That story was based on the original intro, that only 5 ships managed ot, so the French sleepership was destroyed. A French minority about some hundred thousand colonists were on the ship, and still, there were two different surnames in one place 800 years later. Even if everything else, their surnames remained and not as 'unusual surnames' as you mentioned before.

Well, I think we already told him that there wouldn't be a Coalition house, we're talking about a small faction consisting three nations from the Balkan.

Apart from all, we're just talking about it, but no one really mentiones how could it became more acceptable. Well, here is the suggestion: they have all Greek names and own surnames, they're mercs hanging around the Greek places out there, and they have a specific ID. They would participate in actions against the SCRA. A minor faction mostly unimportant it would be. Is this a bit easier to imagine? I mean, ok if everyone says 'no', just tell me, it's similar to what we were talking about, or slightly better?
