My apologies for interfering like this but since this is a matter that concerns me a lot I will take the liberty and post some of my opinions as well. Alright, where should I start?
This has been mostly a Bs| vs. others thread and both sides came with more or less good arguments but the main problem here is that Bs| wants absolute control and is not willing to let others have their share.
However after reading all these pages each with giant walls of text and other threads I can see why people disagree with what Bs| has been doing lately. Lets look at some examples:
Even though Akumabito may have exaggerated and maybe had mocking intents in his posts, he had a very good reason (and I'm sure that others can come up with other ideas too) for creating another order faction but the response he got from the Bs| and their supporters was "There is no room for another order faction and we will not allow it." Wait what? Say that again? There is no room? Who on earth do you think you are to decide that? It doesn't matter how big or small the Order is, as long as the proposed faction is fulfilling the said requirements there is nothing you can do to stop it regardless of what you believe is right or what you want to believe is right. Actually, you are now threatening him with destroying him and his supporters and selfishly exploiting the advantages you gain in the next mod version (Meta-gaming much?).
It was mentioned before that the Bs| has been doing this for a long time and it is in complete control of the Order and its systems. Well, to tell you the truth that is hardly a valid argument because even communism lasted for decades and controlled everything but in the end it was removed.
Eh, maybe I should remind everyone the Order-Liberty treaty. Basically, Bs| enforced a new 'law' on everyone that was dictating how to roleplay even though it was against, as jinx mentioned earlier, the lore of Order npc faction that will never/should not be controlled by a player faction. What happened if you didn't obey this treaty? Oh yeah, you were considered a traitor and shot to bits!
Quote:Unless he decides to come into omicron 100, in which case we can kill him for no reason as long as we have the support of black squadron's leaders. If he tries to start an anti-bs faction, he and his members will never get into omicron 100 alive, and thus will never be able to buy order guard id's or capships. Lets see how long his rebellion lasts when he doesnt have the firepower to fight it.
Seriously now... I don't know what your age is and I honestly don't care either but in all seriousness: Grow up. This is just not the way to solve problems.
All in all, this 'iron fist' way of solving things will sooner or later fail because its only for the interest of the Bs.

There is no room hell I tried awhile back to make a Order faction that was below the bs| and the admins told me to check with Bs| Because Bs| DO run the show for the order. if you dont like it go else where.

Not to be rude but I made that treaty. Bs| just enforced it because they liked it and I asked them to.
You not making much of a point there for an argument that isn't there doin.
Eh, I don't think I really explained it well. Those were examples as how others see it and I was trying to explain the soruce of the 'conflicts' rather than fighting in them.
Edit: Edited the other post a little. Hopefully it will clear some confusion of my intentions. I'm not trying to fight a war here.
Another note the faction I requested way back was I believe gonna be called
[NO] (New Order) because I did something that made the order change
and I wanted the old order back or somthing like that I cant remember
That was when the Bs| and admins declined it.
Admins first because they told me to check with bs| who then declined it soon after.
I see. Well if that's the case then I'm afraid that unless both sides agree to a common solution then this conflict between Bs and indies will never stop. I hope for the best.
Also, I'm sorry about the treaty reference, I didn't want to offend you or anyone. I was merely using it as an example.
' Wrote:And now you're powergaming - trying to force an unorthodox RP on an entire official faction plus independents who follow them just because you have a grudge against them trying to control the oorp capwhores that started showing up.
I'm only following the shining lead of the factions, their shining example in declaring indies who don't want any part of them but still want to RP a specific tag and ID as "spys" or "traitors" or "infected".
Also, just because the TO thinks the Bs is nomad infected doesn't mean it is, it just explains why there is a separate group of order who avoid the control of the Bs.
This server is big enough for indies and faction, until the heads of the factions swell to a certain point, as it is doing in the order, sadly.

that's the thing, until two weeks ago there -was no conflict- between black squadron and order independents. The two groups have gotten along fine until now, and the only thing that changed was the influx of new players to the order who all started flying osiris battleships with no RP and without even asking permission to use them.
Once again - you want to blame someone for the actions being taken by Bs now, blame the indies that caused the trouble to begin with. Until they showed up and started causing problems, there was no seperation between Bs| players and indy order players - all of them worked together with no internal conflict.
When they came along, bought a fleet of osirises, and started invading new york daily - they gave the rest of the order, both black squadron and the 'good' independents, a bad name. Everyone was bitching at US, not the people who were causing the issues. The moment we decided to take action and start restricting order caps, everyone on the server who is anti-restriction came out of the woodwork to argue the point, even though they have nothing whatsoever to do with the order.
Read this carefully:
IF IT DOESNT INVOLVE YOU, DONT GET INVOLVED!
Seriously, stay the fuck out of other people's business and stop trying to create more conflict in order to tear this server apart. It's bad enough without pricks like akumabito running around trying to set everyone against each other just for ****s and giggles.
Akumabito, get out of this thread, drop your arguments, and find someone else to pester. Better yet, leave the server entirely, every faction and independent here would be better off without your bullsh!t. It's a wonder the admins havent banned you completely yet for all the trouble you cause to this server.
That's how it is, if you dont like it you have your RPOL to go back to. It's quite obvious that you arent willing to put in the effort to get along with anyone here, so leave.
The Ship registration will be put into effect, regardless of any attempts to stop it. It's already been decided on, and nobody short of the admins are going to change how black squadron or the rest of us involved do things.

If you have a problem with the way Bs| is being run in Discovery (this also goes to *EVERYONE* on the forums) You are more than welcome to contact me either here on the forums, or via my xfire at sfcwolfpack
For all intents and purposes, the Bs| Chain of command reports to me directly in the clan. I'm willing to entertain stories, but please be aware, that I won't play politics between the faction and the clan.

Yes, Akuma, Adrian McKinley is an entirely infected Bs| Fleet Admiral despite killing thousands upon thousands of Nomads including their capital fleets. Of course by killing all of them and having the best in Nomad protection on my ship I still got infected somehow. [/sarcasm]
Look, if you're going to make another faction, fine. But if you're going to start a Civil War with Bs|, then you will have problems. We own Omicron 100 and that's not going to change. It seems that since Dustin left all of you that have some sort of vendetta against Black Squadron are now voicing your opinions and trying to smear me and my other players down the toilet. I'm sick of this. Just because I'm not a Server Admin or I haven't been here for years doesn't mean I'm a terrible faction leader, nor or my other Admirals. We're trying to steer The Order into a better RP direction, and even in lore the organisation is still very small. But if you're going to flame my entire faction that I lead, that's just low and dishonourable. That goes for all of you saying we're just a bunch of stuck ups that don't want other factions. Maybe if I saw a very well roleplayed Order faction and had other witnesses to this, I'd be happy with it. But don't go making a splinter group dedicated to destroying the primary Order faction that has existed well before I joined Discovery.
