No, quite the opposite. If the rules are changed then everyone plays by the new rules. That's a win because it illustrates a sense of fair play.

Life isnt fair, and neither is this server. You just gotta deal with it, because it's something that isnt going to change.

You'll always have bias when decisions are made because the decisions are being made by people, not machines. There will always be groups here that you simply cannot join no matter how much you want to or how good your RP is, because they either dont like you or just dont want you playing alongside them.

To me - and many others I imagine - the current breaks in originality are unfortunate for the attempted Vanilla originality, but we accept them. That said, just because something is already tainted (I don't think it's tainted, but to an effect the originality is) doesn't mean you should taint it more to be "fair".

Now if the current breaks are weeded out, a lot of people will be upset. I think the Phantoms are a nice addition. A great one in fact. But I also don't want more and more imports streaming in.

I think that accepting what's already happened, and trying to manage what's going to is a more winning situation. Obviously you don't. That's fine.

Fairness upsets people, that's true. There were large scale demonstrations against suffrage for instance, but that doesn't mean it's wrong to be fair.

However, most people will accept being a little upset if it means things are fairer for everyone. Some won't of course, especially selfish people, but I think most will.

Being fair is a worthy goal, isn't it?

I haven't seen those kinds of special character requests in the special character request subforum, but I have seen characters like that before, ingame and on forum. This is before the subforum for special chars existed.

Regarding the French faction, I'm not entirely sure how they got here. I think that they built a sleeper ship sometime after their allies started construction on their own, so they were forced to leave after their allies did. But this isn't really the Gallia hypothesis thread, so, I'll leave it at that.

I wouldn't be sure of a "Terran Empire," since it was really the war between the Alliance and the Coalition, and if you watch the original trailer(don't have the link, sorry) the nomads literally come the minute the Coalition finished planetary bombardment of the last Alliance stronghold.

Of course, I'm not going to walk around bashing people's RP with the RP Hammer, but if they post something in the Special Char Request thread, I will express my opinions of their RP.

Yes. Akumabito's point stands that it is not fair. Nothing can negate that, as it is not fair.

Tenacity has brought about his point of life is not fair, at which point we must acknowledge that FL=/=RL.

Regardless, we should not change how it is now in this circumstance. I do not want more imports regardless of their success rate.

(The only imported thing which I like is the =CR=, but that is irrelevant.)

On a related note, "i stole it" or "i need a bigger ship coz im getting pwn3d by otherz" reasons should never be accepted. If it has more RP than simply a one line RP of "i stole it" and does not give any significant PVP advantage then it should be allowed.

Well, that goes back to my point about some characters special requests not being allowed to go forward because an admin didn't like, that deprives the community of the ability to express their opinion, and denies the person who made the request the helpful feedback he or she might have otherwise received.

Topic drift should be allowed within limits, this has drifted slightly but is still concerned with the special characters approval process, it has some discussion, and as such I don't see the need for yet another thread.

You left out the other part, that is imports are not allowed as a rule, then past imports should be removed as well. There is still room for the same people who RP'd those old imports to RP new non imports just as well, isn't there?
