Sadly, I did the same, but it doesn't solve much since we're just shirking our responsibilities to bring good examples to the area...
[8:32:45 PM] Dusty Lens: Oh no, let me get that. Hello? Oh it's my grandma. She says to be roleplay.
[12:49:19 AM] Elgatodiablo: You know its nice that you have all that proof and all, Bacon... but I just don't believe you.
Sounds like some Liberty players who want the kill and only RP as far as necessary to cover themselves from the rules. Do as Brunhild suggested. Stay out of Liberty unless your just in the mood for mindless pvp. Go elsewhere and you'll get RP.
Hmm...I think I observed this engagement...and, through all the red stuff on my scanner, I think it was a bit hectic...3(?) bounty hunter battleships (got yelled at a lot), Eddie, Phate's bomber, some junkers, 3 or 4 LN (i think that's the engagement you mean? if not, ignore me)...kinda confused for the navy guys...maybe they just wanted to deal with the "threat" and missed your RP?
But, yea, I get the drift...its kinda hard to RP ANYTHING in New York...noone really listens to you 'coz there's so much OORP spam.
While I agree with the "stay out of NY part" (as I do that myself...) NY can be pretty cool when it's less crowded.
Some people just want mindless PvP. You gotta learn to ignore them, know how to send in screenshots if necessary, and continue your RP.
I hate to say it but sometimes we need to be elitist. Stick to a group that you know will RP with you and ignore the others. If people want to RP along with you make them feel welcome in your group. Seriously, it sucks when a mindless "win at all costs" person comes across you but...
Avoiding liberty as if it's a leper may not be the best choice in order to set an example to the newbs...but if it gets to the point where someone wants to give up on the server because of what happens in liberty, then leaving that area of space to find RP elsewhere is the wiser choice imho
Excuse me, but I am one of the LN officers that participated in both of those events, and I feel you are holding to much to your side.
As you know with the first example, there were 3 bounty hunter battleships in Liberty, and they all refused to leave. If you recall, we asked them to leave multiple times, and we were about to deal with the problem, after the immediate problem of course.
And again, as you state, you are a Outcast Destroyer in New York, but at the time, there were 3 bounty hunter battleships that had to be deal with. Furthermore, your choice of words was hardly suggestive. All you stated was that your guns don't work. If you had stated, say, "stop arrest me" perhaps we could have RP-ed more. Also, don't forget there were two other pirates there that did not hesitate to open fire. Are we supposed to stand around and RP while the three bounty hunter battleships run around New York and the two pirates shoot us silly?
Given a more optimal situation, we could have RP-ed more, but given the hectic situation we were in, there was little chance of any extensive RP.
Now, onto the 2nd situation. We considered RPing with you, and, we did. Instead of outright just stating you invaded, your fine is death, engaging..pow pow pow, we actually asked you what you were doing. I don't know if you have actually witnessed the navy dealing with intruder other than yourself in Alaska, but typically the talks don't last long. Too many of the intruders are brainless OORP dolts.
Now, from your viewpoint, it may not have seemed like we RP-ed much, but from my viewpoint, we RP-ed quiet a bit, considering you were trespassing in not only Alaska, but trespassing with Prisoners who now know about Alaska (you even claimed these were high risk prisoners....bringing dangerous prisoners to the secret experiment grounds is not a very good idea) and even worse, bribing LSF officials (how else could you have docked on Fairbanks?)
When you are in Alaska, don't expect much talk wise. Also, when you began threatening us with demotions...AND refusing gafwmn's orders, that's when we decided to destroy you.
