players online and chatlist don't match up

It appears that the Discovery Players Online list and the ingame chatlist doesn't match up.

Delays in the refresh time. I think its about 5 minutes each refresh time?
Happens all the time. RPwise you shouldnt be using either of those lists for that purpose anyway, unless you have bought/constructed a very expensive sensor array.

But who Rps to that extent nowdays...

Not only is the online list generated every 5 mins, but it's also 5-10 mins delayed. This is caused by the low priority the supporting SW runs with.

ah. okay i didn't know about the 10minute delay of the list itself (i knew about the refresh time, that's why i screenshotted this picture a few seconds after it refreshed).

I first thought it could be a side-effect of the namefixing, that's why i pointed it out.


ps. if it's not meant to be used, then it shouldn't be available at all. I'm sure it's not something that comes with the server, and is impossible to remove.

Well it is meant to be used, it's just the best we have to offer for now.

Later there might be a new flhook plugin allowing us to display even more info on a webpage than just online characters but more important things need to be taken care of first.
