An Idea I had, would it be possible to do in Discovery's Server?

I have noticed, the few times one of my characters is in the Manhattan area, the amount of new ships & new players (which is great.. not offending them) can be a fairly large number. Lots of ooc & oorp chat floods the screen, lots of cry's for help from new to the server players & such, sometimes it can be over whelming for both beginners and server veterans alike.

Then I remembered a server I played on a year or 2 ago. You started out in an isolated system & chose a 1 way jum phole to head to where you wanted to build your rep.

Thinking of that an idea struck me, would it be feasible to create a new system for a starting point for all ?
Basic set up should have:

* Would use the same 1 way jump hole idea thus no one could re-enter it. Keeping the area open & safe for beginners to learn the ropes, or veterans to build up enough to get a start on their way to where they choose.

* Have jump holes leading to every home system of every house. Allowing safe passage to work on reps & obtain ID's.

* Have multiple bases or 1 central base & dockable Capitol ships with info cards explaining rules & rp basics and history for each house.

* Use the bases/ships to also be able to do small transporting type missions for new players to earn credits.

* Each base have the sale of each house systems basic fighter, or freighter, so when they leave the "nest" system, they have a ship that would survive hazards such as NPC's gas clouds, radiation clouds, etc..

* Be a perfect place for the "Angels" to work from. Could easily help new comers with out interruptions & in a controlled area.

* Have each faction have 1 representative stationed there as a recruiter ( for those that may seek to join a faction.) Admin approved of course.

* Be a complete no fire zone ( unless needed for missions.. haven't thought that out yet)

* Place each houses biggest cap ship/s & top of the line fighter/s next to the appropriate jump hole. New members would get a chance to see some of the awesome ships that may have never seen before (Kudos to Mods) & Recruiters can use them as selling points for their factions & houses

* Set a limit on level allowed to remain before being kicked out of the 'nest' system ( I was thinking 30 to 35?)

These are just some of the benefits I see by creating such a system.
Question is, would it be a feasible thing to pull off, & would it help the Discovery Server in teaching new comers rules & RP ..

As I said.. just a wild idea I had..

Heh, id love to see a rhienland stationary battleship go against a liberty stationary drednaught...

They should be far away from eachother, so that the kusari battleship cant continually fire at the bretonia one and vise versa.;)

I like the idea, but like mentioned, it's already gonna be used. Coincidentally, the NY --> Magellan jump gate that's closed right now will be turned into the jump gate to Pennsylvania... or so I heard. Good idea, but like Tenacity said, if you have a good idea it's probably already taken. Same thing for my post:P
