True that Galactic.. Doom and Yngen would be the best people to take as an example and learn about Xenos.
Yet, better not forget, if there were a Xeno affliated faction, their zone of influence would be mostly limited within Liberty.
Unfortunately, I fear the limitations of the Xeno RP (territory, ships, weapons) will doom any project to get a faction up and running. Most folks play their Xeno to kinda... escape the norm, I'd guess.
Apocolypse is SO ANTI-Meiun that it's pretty tough for me to roleplay, but it is a hecka buncha fun to see folks running for their lives.
Literally, Meiun's faction status bars are exactly opposite of Apoc's... hehe, it's bizarre switching from one to the other.
With clear goal, strict leadership, precisely defined ship and weapon list Xeno faction can survive. Liberty has enough factions and freelance pilots for Xenos to get few kills, to get some money and to have decent role play.
And a bit of topic, @ Meiun...if Apocalypse shoots again at only Xeno smuggler that funds Sons of Liberty your viper will burn with you in it. And i did warned you about it.
Well, i think that faction is not needed. Not to force it, at least.
When more Xeno players are online, they will organise themselves anyway, or they will make chaos on different sides. It isn't really important.
It is more Xeno-like for everyone to play his role, kill a policeman here and there, not to unite in god knows what Terrorist-organisation that will be the end of Liberty, with attacks on planets and everything else. I don't see it like that.
Mainly because they are fighters only, they are more like doing each for him self. You can't have a big terrorist organisation (faction) without means to destroy the Liberty. And means are capital ships.
So, i think they should keep terorrising with hit and run, sometimes joining forces, sometimes not.
If, however, someone shows a great effort in creating a Xeno faction, i will be happy to join and try, and judge later.

Would you be willing to act as leader? How about making the Sons of Liberty an official faction? I'd certainly join.

Slightly contrdictory response, possibly?
If I read you right you don't think there should be one... but would join if there was one.
I think it only would work as small scale. This is no army we are talking about. Cap ships and taking over liberty are not on the agenda.
If Doom or someone else who is respected and has good RP heads it up it might fly.
For it to work, the restrictions on Xenos have to be embraced, not worked around.
Yes, that is what i said. Because i can't judge (i can, but i will not be sure in my oppinion) untill i try. It would work in a small scale, that is for sure.
Ship/Weps restrictions, yes. But, all to have the same ship+loadout? I don't think so. It would look like an army again, and not a terrorist group.
Again, just trying to help, don't shoot me:)
