Just got Mass Effect a few days ago for my computer.
Aside from a few performance dips its awesome. Great story telling and gameplay.
Like the blend of 3rd person shooter and RPG.
Also the Marko is Win.
So far using a Level 25 Solider on Normal and doing the Luna mission.

Meh, I just took solider because I want to get a feel for the game and want to pew pew. ^.^
Vanguard or Adept next time through on a harder difficulty though. Biotic powers are awesome.
Also: if you like the storyline now, wait til you flesh out the romance lines <3
Also: Don't delete your save games once you finish the game! data will be transferable to the sequel once it comes out, and will have an impact on the way the story of the sequel unfolds.
ALSO: I'm playing through it again, for the third time, doing things differently than I did the last time, but on the same character as my last playthrough, so I'll have two seperate versions of her to use for the sequel.:P
Edit: Also: Don't do Hardcore difficulty, it's just stupid lame, everything has shields and immunities and such, but do Veteran, it makes things moderately harder but still lets them remain fun.

I love RPGs, but they seriously demand a lot of time to go through properly.

Hardcore difficulty becomes easy at a certain point. If you use the same character for two different storylines once or twice, easy peasy.
As for the entire game, awesome. Just awesome. One of the best games I played in a long time. Part two is gonna be even more awesome.
