We received joyful news that the feared Bundschuh, Aiden Valenkopf has been apprehended by the police. He was found flying through the old Westerwald mine field. A Valkyrie patrol stumbled upon him during a sweep of the area. Valenkopf took the fight to them, and only one of the Valkyries managed to escape. With one of its wings shot off and the canopy cracked.
The lone fighter managed to get back to Battleship Koblnez and tell his superiors. Immediately the Koblnez' captain released 3 wings of Wraths to capture him. Though a great fighter, Valenkopf fell to the 12 Wraths.
Valenkopf was then transported on an armored transport to the Vierlande Prison station outside Planet Hannover in Hamburg. He is being held without trial in the prison, under maximum security while the Rheinland Military interrogates him.

News from Hamburg
A Bretonian female voice starts speaking as text rolls down the screen
We have received terrible news from our affiliates on Planet Hamburg, that Vierlande Prison has been attacked and severely damaged. We have only estimates, but it appears at least 6 wings of Bundschuh fighters attacked the station at 22:00 Universal time, last night. We have received scattered reports from Military commanders that the 24 Bundschuh Stiletto fighters were lead by another Bundschuh, in a Sabre with Old-Kusari vinyl symbols. This is the personal ship, I'm told, of the infamous Bundschuh wing leader, who we know only by the name of Shadow.
A Bundschuh terrorist responsible for the destruction of Hundreds of Rheinland vessals, including Cruisers and Gunboats. He is also responsible for the massacre of 4 pilots of the PLH civilian group. He has recently been spotted hounding upon the swarm of new traders going between Rheinland and Kusari, hampering the economy of both houses.
The Bundschuh overwhelmed the defenders while a boarding craft landed on the station. Several fighters neutralized the station's energy cores and defensive guns, while boarders rescued the Bundschuh Aiden Valenkopf.
A slight pause in the reporters voice
I have just received information that Aiden Valenkopf was the head commander of the Bundschuh terrorist forces, assisting the leaders of the Bundschuh as chief tactical commander.
In retaliation the Bundschuh have stepped up their terrorist attacks in the systems of Frankfurt and Hamburg.
This is all we have at the time. We will keep you updated as the story develops.
Rheinland does have quite the impressive miliitary might, I won't disagree with you there. However, they lack the resolve to keep their home clean and clear of criminals.
Liberty has light to no criminal activity around Manhattan.
Leeds (Closest house cap planet to Liberty) has almost as little as Manhattan but slightly more.
Kusari, New Tokyo, has a much higher crime rate at their capital planet.
Rheinland has an extremely high amount of criminals wanding around new berlin. :)
Rheinland is so military focused that it completely forgets it needs police. ;)
@Dab, nah no worries, Sirius is a damn big place, more than likely for two Aiden's to be abound! :D was just teasing you with the first post lol.
In SP all the houses were afraid to go to war against Rhineland.......let me put the analagy into real life. Britain would be afraid of going to war with Iraq (and wouldnt have done so without American help). Nato is still afraid to send more troops into Afganistan for reasons that are unknown to me.
Not that Rhineland are weak.......just that they are in economic turmoil atm and many disgruntled people have turned to piracy to make a living. The Rhineland police arent weak, just the pirates are much stronger.
This was a bit like the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR (CCCP for all you Russians out there)). Their spending on Military was soo large, that it ended the cold war. You wanna know why? Even though the Americans were spending just as much, they had a SOLID economy. Rhineland doesnt atm as the news suggests (ingame).
The reason for the Communist downfall was the combination of Eastern European revolts, Gorbachev's refusal to send in the Red Army to stabilise the situation, and, most of all, the American missile defence project "Star Wars".
though a defence project, "Star Wars" fueled fear in the USSR about their nukes being useless. They Dramatically increased spending (which they could never hope to keep up with) and Communism collapsed.
Edit: The Russians had a really big Military too but the difference here is that they were in a state of war (kind of).
Edit2: If Liberty was inRhinelands position in SP, I doubt that anything would be left for us to be flying in. In one of the rumours in SP, it says that Military spending for Liberty is based on fighting two of the three houses at once. Now all the other houses would be scared about that too.

Where did you get that peice of Bull?
What "High number of criminals" wandering around New Berlin? The Junkers? That's all I have ever seen around New Berlin, other then PC pirates, and I'm the one who was sitting there the most often.
As for the Bundschuh, it actually does not make a lot of sense for them to be around anymore. They formed to protest the new regeime of Rheinland when the Nomads took over, and now that the Nomads have been removed they would have disbanded. They got what they fought and died for, I can imagine that the majority would have been tired of fighting anyway.
Ya know what? I'm going to end this Rheinland Bashing. Somebody link me to creating battleship bases! I'm going to set a new level of "Martial Law" that nobody will soon forget!
Or, alternatly, I could ask someone to upgrade all of the police wings to be the MkII versions. Wouldn't THAT be a suprize for the wayward pirate?
