Things are going well. We’ve made some confirmed kills on Order pilots over the last week. They seem rather interested in our recent activities. We recovered more specimens for research. I wonder what exactly they’re using them for? They haven’t bothered to tell us. Anyways…

another successful mission. Weve managed to successfully recover a Nomad Minor brain from the corpse of one of their gunboats which didnt quite get entirely destroyed today. Its a strange thing, all squishy and glowing. Its been placed in containment. Im quite glad that the special containment equipment was installed. I shudder to think of that thing unshielded in the cargo bay. In addition, we

had to abort the mission.

Ensign Smith has reported some strange malfunctions in our ships systems after the fight with the Nomad fleet detachment yesterday. We engaged the battleship with two cruisers, three gunboats -- including ourselves and a fighter screen. We took some losses, but succeeded in removing some of the neural matter from the ship. During the fight, we experienced a strange weapons malfunction. Smith assures me that it is all right, but I fear things may be worse than they seem.

More malfunctions. Weve been called back to Juneau because of them. Were having problems with the power grid, but Smith is getting evasive about whats going on. God, I hope nothing worse happens.

At least

really made me think. Things have... changed.

The Vice Admiral has been acting erratic lately. Im not certain how else to describe it. Hes been heard muttering to himself when walking down the halls, and when aboard the bridge of the fleet flagship, he seems prone to these strange fits, where he stares straight ahead, only vaguely aware of his surroundings, only to return after several minutes with this bizarre, empty expression on his face. Afterward, he'll seem drained of all emotion, and act somewhat strangely. Ive heard rumours of him shouting into thin air. The doctors claim hes alright, that its just stress, but I dont know what to think.

Again, Ive been having some

What in the blazes are we using these damn Nomads for?! Every time I ask, I am told that it is none of my business; that I dont need to know. Ive been getting my crew to ask around in the hopes of a slip in a station bar or something, but so far, no luck.

Bah, Ill get the Lieutenant to

Ahah! The doctors are using them. I knew those bastards were strange. I dont know what theyre doing, yet, but Im beginning to fear the worst. The Vice Admiral has been going into long meetings with them. I still wish I had some evidence of what they were doing.

Bah, at least weve

.. getting worse.. We captured another Order pilot today. After we tractored in his pod and put him in the brig, he began screaming at us. I had ordered the guard not to respond, but he informed me of the prisoners ranting. The Order pilot kept going on about us Not understanding what we were doing, and that we were, as he put it, children playing with something beyond our comprehension. I fear he may be right.
