Today I had a small engagement with a Rouge named Morte. He was flying around Manhattan, ignoring my orders to halt. Myself and a bounty hunter pursued him into the Badlands, where the hunter's ship as destroyed by a mine. I, too, had my shields taken down as I dodged all his mines. Finally, he started laughing manically on the comm as I shot him down.

I wanted to tractor him in to take him to a mental institution, but some more rouges picked him up. I managed to save the passengers he kidnapped and dropped them off at Manhattan.
Was a long day today. I launched from Manhattan after my "Meeting" with the Maintenance and Supply officers. I didn't know you could string that many expletives together in one sentence.... Something about the department having to up the budget because of me...
Started smuggler interdiction patrol in front of Manhattan, made a couple of passes around the system, not much happening at all. That was until Xeno XA-Caleb.Swift showed up. He didn't like the sight of a Police Officer so he attacked me. Sent me back to the Manhattan docking rings in my life pod...
Well, after about 4 hours, my ship was repaired when a report of 2 Liberty Rogues was phoned in. One of them I recognized, LR-Trump.Card. I have had encounters with him before. He is the Liberty Rogues Crime Boss Sylpheed's personal emissary to me. He was with another rogue, I forgot his name. Trump Card wanted another piece of me, so I let him have it. All was going well until one of my mines tracked on me. We really need to see about better mines.... Off I went in my pod again.

Launched and made a few rounds of the NY system, not really finding a whole lot wrong. I settled in to monitor the LPI Dispatch Channel and the Mutual assistance channels to see if anything was going on in another system.
The Navy had spotted a group of trouble makers using Rogue IFF's, but a ]M[ tag to there name. A possible offshoot of the Liberty Rogues? Might want to get some intel on these guys.... they were in the California system, and the Navy put out a call for assistance. Seeing as I was the only LPI officer in system at the time, I responded. I entered the California system with a contingent of Navy and LSF vessels. We proceeded down the trade lanes towards Los Angeles, but found Nothing.
We thought that it was a false alarm, so we tried to go back towards Planet Mojave, but the trade lane was shot out from under us and the perps were there! Also present was the Outcast-Selina.Revette. She seemed to be in charge of these guys, as she told them to hang back, that she wanted to take on all of us lawfuls herself.
Quiet a battle ensued, lots of missiles flying and mines a-tumbling. Another day of the mines, seeing as one exploded close to me and punctured my hull. I had to eject due to life support was failing. The Navy was nice enough to haul my ship and me back to Manhattan.
A Couple of hours later I was back on patrol when a report of a Raven attacking a LSF officer came in. It was Raven-Banshee. I entered the fray and got quiet a few shots in. The LSF officer and I finished him off.
Shortly thereafter a report of multiple bad guys (And Gals) was radioed in. I was having problems with my Libby, it still wasn't completely right after this mornings battle, so I landed and pulled out he SWAT Guardian. I made my way to West point ,where I found a battle already in progress. I focused on the LR- Doomsday.Heart, seeing as the pilot had taunted [flirted with?] me before I joined the battle.
It was a close one, but I just couldn't close the deal. I had dealt out some damage, but she got me with a Super Nova. At least it felt like one. The life pod took me back to Manhattan where I had the Doc check me out. He told me that I had enough for today, but I could report for duty again tomorrow..

Spent some time in Illinois today. Apparently some traders think that our Guard system is there personal shortcut to the Oita system. His tag read out as Universal-Frinjdeziaar. I hailed him that this was not a shortcut for him, but he kept right on going, ignoring the officers on duty at the time.
Next up was a Cardamine smuggler, name of Johnathan_Archer_NX01. Had 5000 units of Cardi onboard. He docked on Manhattan even after I told him to halt. I was waiting for him after he undocked. I told him the fine was 4 million. He decided to try and stall. Thats when I received help from the LSF and LN. After his shields were gone, he decided to pay up. I will be transferring the amount to the proper channels here shortly.

Welcome New Officers, and welcome to the LPI. Greetings to all Veteran officers who are reading this.
Seeing as this is my first training subject, I will start with something simple...
On your comm device in each of our ships, there is an option to set up preset messages to save you time. They are numbered 0 thru 9. In the proceeding parts, you do not need to type the quotation ["] marks. In the chat panel you can see what you already have by typing "/showmsgs" and hitting enter. Most of you will have nothing. So lets set one up so you can see how it works.
In the chat panel type "/setmsg 0 Hello World" and hit enter. Now when you open a chat window and type "/0" and hit enter. In the system chat it will now say "Hello World"
So to set it up for our use, I am going to show what ones I have setup:
0 #t, please halt your ship.
1 #t, halt your ship at once!
2 #t, halt your ship at once, or I will engage!
3 #t, standby for inspection.
4 empty
5 empty
6 empty
7 empty
8 empty
9 #t, Greetings
Now you are probably asking what the "#t" is for. That will be the name of the ship that you currently have targeted in your aiming reticule. Makes life easy if you have to get someone's attention in a big hurry. Using these or a derivative thereof, nobody can say that you didn't give ample warning.
You can see that messages 4 thru 8 are empty, so you can put in some customized messages.
End of training lesson.

Started out in Manhattan orbit, had to break up a large parking mess at the docking rings. Had one individual, name of Darkmatter (Possibly referencing the space tween his ears?) wanted to stay sitting in front of the rings. I had to threaten him with force if he didn't move.
Took a little break, had dinner at Fort Bush, caught up on some paperwork.
Launched again when it was reported that there was a gang of Outcasts, Red Hessians, and Lane Hackers together rampaging thru the system. Numerous LN and LSF officers also responded. They must have made a heck of a commotion, because they angered one of those A.D.M.I.N. Apparitions, because he threw them the stink eye and they started to retreat to California to re group.
All Lawful forces gathered at West Point and proceeded into California to make sure that they did not return. They did not. We started to return to Manhattan when another group of Outcasts decided to try the same thing. Since we were already assembled, we returned to California. I proceeded to Planet L.A., and started to take the tradelane to the Magellan J.G., I ran into on of those Outcast, one of them CCS| guys, I think A.Ocampo . We started our deadly dance, and I Waxed him one! No floating home in a life pod today!
The remaining Outcasts pulled back into Magellan, where I am not authorized to go. The Navy, however, could. The Outcasts scattered at that point, from what I could decipher from the comms stream.
Someone needs to pick the Maintenance and Supply officers off of the hangar floor, that's the last place I seen them when I landed and walked out of there....

Well, my first patrol as Officer wasn't that successfull. Had major electronical problems with my ship. All my systems were suddenly turned off in the middle of a fight against some Rogues, but with a bit of luck, they seemed to have thought my ship was dead. As my systems turned on again, i was able to get to the Norfolk shipyard, you know, an ill ship isn't useful for any fighting or patrolling at all.
I managed to have some enngineers have a look onto my ship. They say they found the failure source, and have repaired what was broken. I'll go and make a test flight now to see if they are right.
Launched in my Liberator to start the shift; it seemed mostly quiet. Copied some comms traffic, seems that .:BW:. Onyx Wolfe had a trader cornered somewhere and was demanding credits. Now that trader must have been suicidal, because before I could respond, he had told the Rogue to "Just Kill Me". I can think of more pleasant ways to die other than walking up to a liberty rogue and telling him to kill me. Seems like Onyx.Wolffe got the short end of the deal, he had a CODED weapon that he salvaged from the wreckage, and wasn't able to get rid of it. It hung on to him like the proverbial albatross around the Ancient Mariner's neck.
Got a call from the Navy from Mr Gafwmn (Sorry, forgot your rank sir), seems that there was another zone 21 violation. He asked for me to back him up by covering the entrance to the mine field and stop anyone trying to get by. I had to switch out ships and pull out the SWAT guardian for this one. There were 3 perps, Kathir High Drive, Tantills, and a Alfred ? (Not sure on last name on this one..). I saw them exit Zone 21 and when I told them to halt, they ran to a Jump hole near the Texas gate. I remembered from the old smugg....I mean trading days with Captain Muldoon that this is a inter system jump hole. I think the other end comes out in the badlands... Kathir is flying a Lux liner, I had no way of stopping it. His friends have what I believe are Trains, I didn't get a good look. Mr Gwafmn went to look for them, and I kept watch over the minefield entrance. Sure enough these 3 showed up again. I fired torpedos at them, but they evaded and went into cruise into zone 21 again. I tried to catch up, but to no avail. They jumped thru the **Deleted by LSF ** gate and disappeared. Mr Gafwmn returned and told me they were KOS. Now I think that needs clarification, because that might be just 3K around zone 21. I will send a separate message to the Chief about it.
Landed the Swat ship and put it away for the night. Had dinner and caught up on my paperwork.
Launched back out into Manhattan orbit, and resumed my patrol. .:BW:. Onyx Wolffe was STILL trying to to sell that CODENAME. A Smart Alecky trader tried to play off that he was going to buy the weapon from him and then have me run in and arrest him. Wolffe is too smart for that. I told the trader it wouldn't be a good idea to try that, he would end up dead.
Another trader that fell into Onyx Wolffe's trap tried running for it to the Manhattan gate. All I know was that one second it was quiet, next thing I know a full scale war erupted out of the trade lane. Wolffe destroyed the traders ship, and made it back into the trade lane and disappeared as I chased him down.
Next up is another smuggler, Rapidtrade. Had a ship full of artifacts. I ordered him to stop, he kept on going in cruise and got out of scanner range. I think his fine is going to be doubled when I catch him.
I thought things were going to quiet down, but Outcast Selina.Revette came into the system wanting another piece of me (Hmmm, maybe she didn't get enough of me the first time around). Suddenly we were off to the races. We fought and fought and fought, and in the end, one of her mines made it thru my weakened shield and vaporized the back half of the ship.
So you can probably guess by now that I had to take a life pod back home. The Maintenance officer snickered something at me as I went past about a "Winning streak of one...".

Tonight's patrol started out dead quiet. I don't think that there was more than 3 ships in the NY system at that moment. Officer Jack Bauer reported in for duty and we were having some shop talk when a Corsair gunboat was detected in the Texas system. Bauer got his SWAT bomber and headed to Texas. I landed and broke out my SWAT Gaurdian. When I arrived at the Texas system near the Jump Gate, Bauer was already engaged and hailed me that he needed bots and bats. I transferred them and was about to engage when Bauer's ship experienced a ion storm that temporarily disabled it. I flew cover for him, but the Gunboat, name of Qu Traquer, escaped.
Next up was a Perp by the name of Phyrgian. He had Nomad weapons on him and wasn't licensed for them. He also refused to drop them after he was asked for them. We left the Navy to deal with him.
We transited back into the NY system and passed a Cryer vessel (149) who tried to ORDER me to stay clear, because I might try to steal his research data. I informed him that he isn't in any position of authority to be giving me or any other LPI officer orders, and if he didn't like it we could go into the station and talk about it. At this point he shut his yap.
A known smuggler was detected, Kathir High Drive. I informed him that the Liberty Navy had labeled him as Kill On Sight. He continued to bear down on me. I ordered him to halt. He would not. I scanned him and he had 5000 units of Cardi onboard. I fired 2 Sunslayer torps, stripping his shields off of his liner. He continued on and docked with Manhattan.
I ordered Kathir to undock, pay a fine and leave Liberty space. At this point I also enlisted the help of a BH, Shipper the ambassador, and Air ace. Kathir undocked and ran behind the planet with the 3 of us in chase. He refused to stop and, well, he lead us straight to Rochester base! He docked and filled the comms channel with filth, then shut down for the night and wouldn't undock. I ordered the other 2 ships to disengage and return to Manhattan.
During this ruckus, a liberty rogue entered the system and started wreaking havoc. His ship name is LR I.Cant.Dance. His real first name is Ted. He informed me that LR Trump Card was out of town and he would be conveying Slypheed's regards to me in his place. I caught up with him at Fort Bush, and we trash talked a bit and then we fought. Mines, missles, and lasers lit the sky. Suddenly, my ships controls froze! I was flying straight and level, unable to evade! When Iwas able to get control of the ship again, it was too late. A missile hit the shields, followed by a mine. I was forced to eject. Methinks the maintenance officer has some explaining to do. The life pod deposited me on Fort Bush. I've had it for the night.
End of report.
