My name is Rachel Malrone, sister of Jack Davius Malrone. After moving to Bretonia some time ago to marry my darling husband, Jethro Armitage, I have been mainly a housewife and came 2nd in the Annual Bretonian Food Festival Cook-Off. While returning home from the festival, a Corsair intercepted our transport vessel and blew it apart, leaving 15 dead and 30 injured, including myself. His reason? Just because he could. After undergoing several surgeries to fix my broken legs and femur bone, I made it my mission to learn how to fly fighters and bombers, so I could defend myself and others when I had to go on space-outings. Since my brother was in the Liberty Navy, I traveled there in my spare time, when he was off duty, so i could learn from him.
Over time, I have become proficient in bombing and am not too shabby in a fighter. My passion to defend myself and others will hopefully prove to be a great asset to the Bretonian Armed Forces...that is, if I pass through recruitment.
Oh, and no need to worry about funds, I've got a loan from my other brother, Richard Malrone.
The Recruiting Officer scanned the transmission on his notepad, a wry smile on his face.
"Reply to Lucas Mozart," he dictated
"Lad, nobody joins the BAF and jumps straight into a Gunboat! We are not capital-ship-obsessed bully-boys! Our pilots need to demonstrate skill and ability in fighter and bomber actions and training before getting the necessary promotion to fly the heavy stuff. Now, if you are as experienced as you claim, your abilities will be recognised and you will get that promotion. However, do not assume anything."
"If you are still interested in joining up, with that in mind, then say so. I will process your application happily."
"Thanks for being so honest about your pirate background. We are not too worried about that. Indeed, certain parts of our fighting forces may be interested in your application because of it. I will say no more now, but if you want to proceed with your application I will notify those concerned."
He pressed the SEND button.
"Gunboat jockeys!" he grumbled as the message flew into the ether
The notepad's screen showed the application from Rachel Malrone.
"Hmm - like the look of her!" said the Recruiting Officer, just as the secretary, Miss Brown, came into his office.
"Thankyou, sir!" she said and laughed as she picked up some papers and left before he could speak.
"Her too, truth be told" he said under his breath. Why was his face flushing?
He looked back at the screen.
"Reply" he said
"Rachel Malrone. Skill in bombers is definitely needed in the BAF. We are interested, and will send you some questions for you to return. Then, if your answers are ok, we can process your application."
"Replied so quickly?" muttered the Recruiting Officer as he scanned the incoming message with the neatly answered questions. The Malrone girl was certainly keen.
He quickly sent off the investigation protocols and security clearance scans and all came back clean - well, clean enough!
"Rachel Malrone - you are in!" he laughed as he pressed the ACCEPT button.

My parents are from Liberty aswell. But we had to move to Bretonia in the year 814 A.S. because our house has been destroyed. We have a new house now on planet New London. My father works for Synth Foods and my mother works for DSE. I`ve been trained by a friend of my father , an old and experienced Synth Foods escort fighter who died killed in an ambush 4 months ago in Omega 3.
Due to the latest pirate activities in Bretonia, I decided to join BAF and help out Bretonia, making it a safer place. I have a lot of experience with VHF`s. I`m currently flying an Eagle and I`ve been doing freelance work everywhere in the Sirius Sector. I know almost all Bretonia systems. I would like to join BAF and to fight for Bretonia and to protect it with my life !

I have enough money for a new ship and for equipment so credits wont be a problem.
