After a couple of weeks of flying a desk and being assigned other duties, it was good to be back on patrol tonight. I launched and made a few stops thru out the liberty system. The Emergency channel came to life, said Monstar and his side kick Psi Borg had been spotted in Texas. Lawful forces were marshaling at Norfolk to repel this serious threat.
Monstar and friend disappeared off our scopes, so we dealt with the next threat, the [MAF]. Don Spero, Nexx, and Cl.Koveras.Perri. Initially, only one of them was in a fight with the LN over West Point, but the other two joined in and so did I. It was quite a fight, ending when the [MAF] retreated into the badlands after one of them (Can't remember who) was destroyed.
Made a few patrols around the surrounding systems with a gun boat from the Liberty Cutter Service, the /LC/ Key West. Took on a few outcasts over Pittsburgh, then landed on Fort bush
Took a break for lunch and to catch up on so more paperwork, when the Emergency channel went full tilt! Monstar was right outside Fort Bush with Psi Borg, attacking the LN and LC! I ran to the Hangar, and launched in my SWAT bomber.
When I launched I ran straight into a massive fight! Psi Borg was right in front of me, so I opened up with my SN and let him have it. Meanwhile, the valiant crew of the /LC/ Key West had to abandon ship, due to the punishing blows that Monstar was heaping on to it. I think everyone got off the ship before it exploded.
The next victim was the 205th Glory. She must have been in the fight from the start, because she had massive damage and had to be abandoned next. Psi Borg swooped in and finished her off.
We were all directed to concentrate our fire on Psi Borg, so I did. I got of quite a few SN shots and pumped a few missiles into it's hide. Everyone present poured everything they had into Psi Borg, and it showed. Moments later, Psi Borg's ship was destroyed.
Everyone turned their weapons on Monstar's destroyer and really laid into him. He lasted slightly longer than Psi Borg did. I thought I saw his escape pod leave the ship just before the ship exploded, but I am not totally sure.
With things secure, I had to land to repair the battle damage that my ship has sustained. I lost my Enhanced CM and had to replace it with a cheaper version on Fort bush. I will need to fly to Illinois later to replace it.

Tonight I was on duty, but working at my desk when the emergency channel came to life, there was a fight going on right next to Newark! I hopped into my SWAT Guardian and made for Newark. There was 3 or 4 outcasts and those Freelancers/Mercs Onyx.Snow and Victor Navorski. I jumped into the fray and had at it. Most of the outcasts were destroyed, and those who weren't, ran for the hills.
Later, the emergency channel lit up again, this time it was Basilisk, Malinka, and Victor Navoski. The first two were in Gunboats. Sergeant Marx, a LN ship (Sorry, name escapes me now) and I engaged the perps. The LN ship fell first, followed later by Sergeant Marx. I stayed and tried to take them down, but I realized that I wasn't going to be able to do this alone. I tried to disengage, but got shot in the back for it. I floated home tonight.

Was again working at my desk tonight when the Emergency Channel lit up with a the report of a Zoner Destroyer, Gran Cranaria, was in stationary orbit above Manhattan with a **Deleted by LSF ** Thruster sticking out of her and acting suspiciously.
The Liberty Navy (Mr Galen Anderson) was already dealing with said Destroyer, so I acted as back up by guarding one of the 2 Trade lanes to make sure that it didn't suddenly jump and get away. The LN was asking that the ship drop the ** Deleted by LSF ** Tech because it was dangerous. The Captain wasn't having none of it. He kept on acting weird, flying in circles, ranting, and conversing with a new group called the AoC. They kept on talking about some prophet and spreading chaos. Finally, they yelled to the Capt. of the Gran Cranaria to land and spread the **Deleted by LSF ** infection on Planet Manhattan!
The Destroyer made a dive towards the docking ring and actually got inside, but the LN warned ground defenses that he was coming and ordered the planetary guns to vaporize the Ship. I lost sight of the Gran Cranaria at this point.
At this time fellow Captain Sean Toronto showed up, working out the kinks in his bomber. I assisted him in calibrating systems and equipment transfers.
Next, a civilian approached me and offered the location of the AoC , for a price in credits, which I happily paid. I informed Captain Toronto and Mr. Anderson of said location, and we went to have a little chat with them about sending people to infect Manhattan
Cpt. Toronto got to them first, and they opened fire on him. Mr Anderson and myself were next into the fight. It was Aoc Ratchett, Aoc Mr. Smee, and Aoc Souldealer. 2 gunboats and a Barghest bomber.
Tonight I tested out the Weapons Grouping technique that I sent out as training. It worked flawlessly! I was able to switch between my Magma Hammers, the SN, and my Cd with ease.
Unfortunately, Mr Anderson's ship was destroyed, leaving the Cpt. and me to face the three of them. First to fall to the our guns was Aoc Souldealer, followed by Aoc Mr. Smee. Cpt. Toronto is credited with both of those kills. That only Left Aoc Ratchett, whom I finished off with a SN shot.
After the fight, the Cpt. and I were on our way back to Manhattan when something crazy happened. The Cpt. jumped into the trade lane for Manhattan, and I was going to be next, when a liner undocked from West Point and started to use me for target practice with no warning at all! I asked him what he was doing and he said he was feeling suicidal. I placed a few SN and Magma Hammer shots into him, he buggered off before I could finish him. Perps name was Baron.Fell. Guess he didn't feel so suicidal.......
Afterward, I helped a new LSF officer with part of his setup, and helped the Cpt. with some more transfers. I landed back on Fort bush and went off duty.

Well now Im not so surprised that Mira and her hubby died on LPI duty... I almost croaked on my first day!
After the halibaloo at Manhattan about that Bret coming was over, I finally got my badge and ship.
Didnt have to wait long untill some outcast who's name I dont remember refused to cooperate with police instructions and I had to blow him up. Rason... Saron... Ronas... some name like that.
Then I followed a fellow police officer'S call to help him destroy some synthetic mahiruana in California. Since Budd the smuggler insisted on getting blown up before handing over his cargo, a huge cloud of smoke engulfed Riverside Station for some time after we insinerated the ship and the counterband.
The following incident didnt go so well... police work can be downright dangerous if you respond to distress calls in the wrong time and place! Some traders complained about 2 Rogues bothering them between Mojav and NY gate. 2 SWAT officers and me waited for re-inforcements in front of Mojav, as the Rogues turned out to be in 2 gunboats. As we waited, an Outcast bomber came by, and we intercepted before he could unite with his friends. Although I was able to do a lot of dammage to the Bomber, the 2 Rogue gunboats moved to assist him, and one of them trashed my brand new light fighter with missiles. Maybe all the smoke from the previous mission somehow got in through the airconditioning on my ship and affected my reaction times, I dont know. If it wasnt for Jack Bauer who tractored me in and headed to NY, I would probably have died in space, or in some Rogue rathole.
Hope to get some armour and better airconditioning on my next ship!
As we landed on Manhattan, I observed a curious scene from my escape pod window: A Raven's Claw with a flashy bright light seemed to be giving flying lessons to 3 foreign oddfish... at least their names sounded foreign.. JihadJoe, Dieter, and another Rheinlander with the same IFF signal who didnt even have proper identification! Their IFFs were obviously also messed up or not compatible with my escape pod... they profiled as having not a single friend in the whole universe.
Well... that was a hell of a first day for me.
Officer Knight out.

2nd daily report of Liberty Police (Inc.) officer Kira knight
I believe that every human being is entitled to a second chance, and many to a third or a fourth or fifth.
I know that I have been making some poor descisions lately, but the lessons learned will be lost to the LPI if I am fired. Admitted, I have not yet mastered the evasion of enemy fire to a satisfactory level, and I was not aware that the standards the 'Ace pilot' assessment I declared on my application were... not as I thought they were.
That being said, I proceed with my daily report as required. Soon after launching on patrol in New York, the Liberty Navy asigned me to investigate a Gunship 'Burasko', which turned out to be ... a Rogue Gunship. The threat was soon dealt with, and I must ask you to disregard any allegations that the perpetrator wasn't sufficiently warned of his insubordination and abhorent behaviour before his ship was turned into scrap metal.
Soon after, a Lane HAcker bomber 'BLue.Dove' issued entirely inapropriate remarks about the lower back of a Liberty Naval officer. After approaching the offender, scanning him, and making known that he is, in contradiction to his previous assertions, a male, the suspect proceeded to destroy my newly aquired Liberator light fighter.
At this point I would like to remind the LPI administration that I did, in fact, ask for better armour on my ship on several occasions.
As I moved to equip my third ship with the so direly needed armour, I received a theatening message by a robotic voice... that civilians would be harmed unless I meet with the individual 'Duos.Evertos' in Texas. With no police officers apart from me on duty at hte time, I requested escorts from 2 bounty hunters and proceeded to Texas to arrest the blackmailer. The Navy forces present at Houston soon located the known criminal Duos and an associated Harvester, and we moved to apprehend them. However they fled without giving a chance to intercept them. I relieved the bounty hunters of duty, and went on my back way to the New YOrk system. Unfortunately, my attempts to end a brawl between one of the Bounty hunters and a massively armed Taidan Outcast bomber... ended with my 3rd ship being destroyed.
Soon after launching with my 4th Liberator fighter, a LPI strike team that was to take out some Rogue Gunboats... the same that destroyed my first ship yesterday... asked me to assist them by disrupting the criminals cruise engines. I was happy to join, and fire Revenge V and Cruise disruptors at them with extreme prejudice. The operation, nonetheless, was qualified by the leading LPI Officer as 'fail', 'epic Phail', and extremely unseccesful after 2 LPI ships had been destroyed. The officer clearrly tried to shift some of hte blame on my allegedly too low rate of CD fire onto the missil-spaming gunboat, but I must point out that I was in a light fighter and that it was only my second day. Some ion storms disolved this battle before it ended.
After the storms had subsided, I headed back to New York through Virginia and Texas, since the Rogues were still blockig the gate at CAlifonira, and I was on my own. If this had already been a pretty bad day, it was still going to get a little sugar coating. After only 10 k through the tradelane leading from Texas jump in New York, I spotted yet another Liberty Rogue bomber, making his way up north. After I pointed this out on open channels, the bomber attacked me without notice, obviously dis-satisfied at how I had described the suspect's appearance to the other police in hte system.
Then, something which I still cant fully undersand happened. On secure channels, an unknown ship '42|Hapy' started talking to me on private channels, about how I cant attack his friend. As I answered, he soon reversed on his stance in defending the Rogue and pointed out that he was an 'idjit'... whatever that is. Unfortunealy, the distraction of the messaging caused the loss of my 4th Liberator light fighter. I have decided to infestigate this 42|Hapy...
As a closing statement I would like to again stress the point that none of the lost material can be attributed to mistakes in police behaviour on my behalf, but are the consequence of a lack of LPI manpower, resources, armour, and also bad luck. A furhter reduction of the LPI manpower would only worsen the problem, not solve it.
"Chief we have a problem, the new recruits are, well frankly, they are failing horribly at anything remotely like holding back pirates."
Myers looked up at Jonas, clearly the man had been working out his barrel like form seemed to have definition and Myers quickly decided that Jonas was no longer someone to meet and piss off in a dark alley.
"So what's your proposal, Captain?"
"Well I think we need more Havocs, it displeases me, but frankly the gunboat swarms are getting more and more, missiles a plenty and these fools are flying Liberators at them. It's like flicking peas at a battleship only slightly less effective given these recruits abilities. They need training, they need desperate tactical training. We've been putting these folks in ships and well frankly they don't now the first thing about being in space, half of them can't even follow simple orders correctly."
Myers eyes glazed over at this tirade. Chief as he was, all this work made him cranky.
"They do? Fine, get yourself a Havoc, you're going back into the field."
Jonas looked somewhat stunned, that was not what he wanted, not what he wanted at all.
"Sir? I think you misunderstand me. I mean you need to get a real pilot. Someone who knows Liberty like the back of their hand, someone who isn't afraid to shout."
"And I have, your old partner Toronto is back in the field, as of tomorrow so are you. Dismissed Captain."
Jonas' shoulders slumped, defeated and dejected he walked out the door. The recruits would pay for this. Pay dearly.

Miss Meyer enters the office with a sense of purpose. She quickly brushes past the regular Blank faces and heads towards Fred's desk.Leaving a note "Fred!, You got a job now. I want you to round up a list of all those who require an ID and give me that information to me. Failure to do so will result in me Slapping you."
Quickly snatches the coffee sitting on the desk and downs it as she walks to her desk in front of Jim Markey's office only to hear "Snuggle bunnies what snuggle bunnies ...No not school No!" She enters Jim's office to find him sleeping on the floor.Marx quickly fills a glass of water drops it on Jim and yells"Wake up!You have mail, Seems there is a new President and we might be getting paid. So start looking like you work and we might all get a wage!" She then hands Jim the News paper and walks out only to find missiles being fired across the room.

Unlike me, I'm pro at making it look like I actually have an opinion on the topic.
Except in this post.
I'm feeling rebellious.
