someone posted a concept art pic of a possible gmg fighter shortly ago - but i couldn t find the thread anymore -... the image inspired this little concept here.
i tried to stick a bit closer to the current taidan HF. - it has 3 large engines that are inside the chassis, which should be logical for a ship that operates close to gas pockets. - it also features more gas intakes than most other ships - and multiple sword like fins ( like the current homeworld ship )
all in all - the ship is quite streamlined - but i think its not too "planelike". it is not really very large. - the canopy is about the same size as the current taidan fighter - and the ship would be as long and thin as the Eagle ( but without the wings ... )
edit: the ship looks a bit too sophisticated for a miners faction, i daresay - too expensive to maintain with the seamless hull and the curved shape - no idea if the GMG is a rich organization or not... . - if you look at the side view... you see that its also inspired by the current Dromedary shape... .
VERY nice. It also has a logical design to it for its environment.
HOWEVER! Because of the design, needs must that it also be slower than most VHFs, because it's so small. (Plus, engines inside, it wouldn't have much turning ability IRL)

To me, it more resembles a freighter with wings :/ Maybe you could try and follow the Taiidani shapes a bit more, they tend to be more of a cube roughly, than a rectangle.
Like, they are kind of equal length/breadth wise, not one greatly outdoing the other.
The bottom ones would look good imho, even if the top were removed.

the wings - well, they are part of the GMG fighter design. - the taidan HF has them, too ( just straighter ones ) ... the size of it really isn t that large. - take into account that the canopy here is rather like that modern jet ( that means that its only the head that pokes out of the ship. - ( most FL ships offer a full-body-canopy )
but i ll see if i can revise the blades a bit - and do something about the ship to "look" smaller and more fighterlike
I'd actually add some steerable small wings in the middle, or some delta wings in front, as the nebula environment can also be used to help in turning (instead of using thrusters).
