thinking its a kitbash comes from joints like the part where the pointy front meets the blocky midsection. - its two custom faces moved into one another. ( there s no custom joint between them - the joint is all edgy and shows a discontinued face - usually a sign for a kitbash )
thats just how ppl believe its a kitbash. ( or might do so )
I like the design, very nice work. I can't wait to see it in Rogue fleet. Greyhound isn't FL ship and it needs to be replaced as soon as possible. It depends what class of ship it would be , but Werewolf imho should be pride of Rogue fleet. That ship of yours can stand by his side as HF or something. For future reference. Werewolf will have forward firing turret in 4.85 , i think , so it will have 6 forward firing guns. That ship looks like HF rouges are in need of. Make it 5/1 forward or 4/1 forward firing, Torpedo slot OR if it will be slow as most of the rouge ships , i propose put 5/1 + CD + Torp slot . Max level of guns 9 and average turning, but very good powerplant , like all Rogue ships so it can be used for pirating more than for combat. But if you want to replace Greyhound , you can make same agility as Greyhound same powerplant but one gun more than Greyhound. It is really nice ship and just hurry with work so it can be squeezed in new mod.
I have an idea thou, right now it looks a bit too Barghest for mah taste...
Turn the hull up some 45 degrees so it looks like this:

This i think is much more rogue like, then just aim wings engines and everything horisontaly...

Yeah it does look like the barghest kinda, yeah. But I don't think you understand how dramatic 45 degress is. Even with the wings and engines turned horizontal, it still looks like the ship is popping a wheelie >_>;
Dropped the back hump down, made the engines smaller and the ship thinner, and slightly longer. It looks a lot faster now than before. I also fixed up a few of my corners to make the model look nicer, and fixed a couple of symetry problems I was having, and fixed a couple of holes.
I think the model is ready to be hard pointed now. I'll leave it open for a couple more suggestions, and start tomorrow. I won't be making any drastic changes, though. Ever since I deleted the hidden faces, the objects became far less malluable.
We'll leave the balancing up to Igiss, though. This isn't the place to discuss that.
I like the changes, I like the ship in general. The nose seems a little too pointy, though. Maybe slice it off near the end to give it a slightly blockier point.
Yeah. Looks like the Barghest with it's wings clipped.
Other than that, good model in general I suppose, although rather uninspiring. You should try to go for something that sets it more apart from the rest of the fleet while maintaining the general look. Otherwise people will just be like, "Eh? Oh... Ah well, it has better stats. *buy*"
Okay so I hit another snag when I started to try and add the hardpoints for this ship. The problem is that when making a replacement, you need to use the exact same number of hardpoints as the original model. The current Greyhound has one engine, while my model has two. That's where the problem lies.
Doom did say it was possible for a second engine to be added, but everyone who owns a Greyhound would have to sell it, buy something else, and then rebuy the Greyhound. If they don't do it in that order the server will kick them for cheating.
So what do you guys think I should do? This: http://img154.imageshack.us/img154/9679/enginejg6.png

Personally I think it looks ugly with only one engine on the back. I could always make one engine on the back and leave the two on the sides as nothing more than a visual thing.
