Cpt.Reynolds and who he might be

You may, or you may not know the character Cpt. Malcolm Reynolds from the TV show Firefly and the movie Serenity.
Now I want to play Cpt. Reynolds in Freelancer and I am asking for help for the correct set up.
I want to play him before the timeline of the show when he was fighting for the "Browncoats".
The two Factions which are close to that I think are LWB or Farmers Alliance.
I right now prefer to choose the Farmers Alliance because of their asian setup.
In the future i might develop this character to the time he buys the Serenity.

Question is.
Is someone like him reasonable to be within this organisation?
May the LWB be a better choice?
Is it reasonable to have a Firefly in those Organisations?

Farmers' Alliance would never, ever, ever use a Firefly. Ever. It's a Bretonian ship, and they hate the Bretonians.

LWB and FA, in any case, are "farmers' rights" movements, not "browncoat" material. Try the Mollys, perhaps. They're a secessionist movement who seeks independence from Bretonia. Once he leaves, he could conceivably buy a Firefly.

Also, pieguy is right. Don't go for LWB or FA if you want a Firefly later - Mollys might work out.
As well, you could contact Tenacity. Not only is he a Firefly expert (I think) but he also RPed a Firefly with a crew similar to that of the Serenity.

Be careful with character imports though - they might sometimes play out, or fail horribly, depending on how you pull it off. I think this could be a convincing basic setup for a Molly; but please, please leave the terms 'Browncoats' and such obvious hints to the Firefly 'verse out of it.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Firefly fan as well and fly the ship on my freelancing trader. But it's just a fact that many many people here know about the show - and it might be a stretch to just copy/paste its characters into Discovery.

OOC: Indeed, wrong section. Try to be a tad more original. Not surprisingly, Mal Reynolds is one of the largest imports (seems like every week there's a new "Malcom_Reynolds" in a Starflier flying around). LWB is always looking for good new members, and there are hardly any independents. The AFA (and FA) could use some players too.
