Yet there is a whole lot of drones out in the void of space, this one is different, unique.
The sole purpose of this project is to deploy an artificial intelligent system to defend, assault, command, and fulfill roles of what a human pilot does, though this is a system far more deep than what role it will play. This project adapts a new contact that the modern AI developers and companies Sirius-wide have never seen before. In contrast, this contact has been disrupting and collapsing a contained area in space that it never reached its full potential in, the actual damage it caused in cyber-space was so massive that it nearly escaped into the houses, it was slowed-down, but not stopped. This is the saga of the project MD-1032.
System drives functional, automated pre-boot diagnostics check. Bring it online. A deep inhale follows from a male human voice coming across the room.
Sir, it is hard to tell if this will actually work. However, the sample has been successfully exposed to the machines neural net. An essence of what could be registered at the current interval was human, with female voice attributes.
Internal scanning commences within what it resembles, a Hessian Thor Bomber, the alien strain of attempted-stability seems to be working perfectly to clock into schedule. The would-be pilots cockpit of the vessel was totally reconfigured to house a slightly, larger, entity. Nonetheless, this entity was the pinnacle of achievement of human design, but held a significant resemblance of alien substance.
Lets fire it up, shall we say. Again, originating from the same male scientist, but this time he spoke, it was with even more enthusiasm.
Humming commenced from conveniently-placed quantum computers in the same room.
Suddenly, the entire ship flamed-up with life. All the scientists that were currently part of the project started to get excited, yet patiently waiting for the next step to bring the vessel totally online, and what it contained inside.
Keep all attention on the processing status of that console. The young female scientist assigned to keep the algorithms of the device responsible for keeping the strain functioning properly. With this operating system, that is responsible for keeping the strain of radicals in check.
As of this time, everything was going all to plan. However, something happened, the computer built internally in the ship, not the computer that was enclosed within an exoskeleton housed in the cockpit. The ships original computer was in the background, denying access to certain segments of code that was keeping everything in a chime. Without hesitation, the entire ship started to sever connections with the servers that were diagnosing and performing checksums within the neural net of the device.
Then, the unthinkable happened.

It was a clear sky of the lightened part of New Berlin, a former bounty hunter guild member was casually walking along in town square out in the suburbs of the city.
His name was Kevin Turner. Checking the local food markets for supplies for the long journey that was ahead of him, he stumbled upon a list of an official RM criminal top news coverage of a massive ship theft. As he scrolled down the screen to a name that he was looking for, he set a search entry, typed in a name, and peered at the results. Unfortunately, the desired name was not successfully located. Expecting disappointment of this outcome, he started to continue walking. The moment he took about three steps forward the local news channel was brought to full screen on the same monitor that he was just using. He stopped, took one glance at the screen and held his breath for about five seconds. Reports that were coming in showed his ship classed as destroyed from a suspected sapper that rigged an explosive device onto his ship.
Quickly, he pulled out his handheld console and selected his ship with the displayed icon representing it. There was a time-out error that displayed right when he selected it. He attempted another go, fearing that his recently paid off vessel was destroyed. He returned to the news. While listening in on other vessels that shared the same fate, he quickly set a course for a fast route back to the last location of his ship.

Kevin, just passing by a Rhienland Police security checkpoint, is stopped by three officers. They ask for a scan of Kevins neural net card and ID. Cleared to be a border-line mercenary, they start to ask some questions on were hes recently been on New Berlin. Kevin explains that he has some business with an important Republican shipping mega-corporation official. However, he made it unclear who he was to conduct business with. One of the three police officers started to insist that he would talk to Kevin in a more quiet area. Kevin, unsure what was going out on the landing pads, agreed to walk with the police officer down the hall to what appeared to be a metal door. The officer waved his hand over a sensor that ejected near the crease of the door and wall. The officer waved his right hand over the blue strip of the sensor array, and the door made a noise resembling the sound when air undergoes immediate decompression. The Rhienland Police officer started to walk forward towards the door. It suddenly latched open on two vertical sides, and then two horizontal latches released behind that with the texture of diamond-pattern safety strip. When the door fully opened, there was an intense ray of light that would make one squint if not fully adapted yet to cope with sudden changes.
Then, all went completely dark. The officer quickly put a black bag over Kevins head. Kevin felt a cold, metallic, rough surface collide with his head, he was unconscious.

The ships capacitors reach to a fully energized state, with no weaponry currently mounted since the project was still in its prototype stage. Static fields start to emerge from the cause of the high energy output the craft was producing, the scientists calling for station alarm, is suddenly deactivated. The static reaches a critical peak and discharges with the local metal making up the large containment room. Every scientist that had a part of their anatomy touching the surrounding metal is instantly given a painful shock that puts them in cardiac arrest. They simply die. The survivors rush to emergency escape pods. By that time, the ship, now clearly MD-1032 quickly makes short work overriding all escape pods. They eject and get clear of the station, but every single one, simply explode. Bodies are noticeable in the hundreds out in the void of space. All of this, systems away from any other stations in orbit around other stars.
The ship now known as MD-1032 downloads all the data on the main servers within the station, after all of the information containing specific entry logs, persona files, e-mails, updates, etc. is all downloaded successfully under a one-minute time span from accessing the servers to terminating the connection. All this data after being downloaded, it is instantly copied once more onto a secure drive on MD-1032. A special conversion system in the hardware combined with the software is that once the data is imprinted onto the main drives in MD-1032, the binary is converted into synthetic DNA storage, greatly improving the efficiency of mass data storage.
Now, MD-1032, basically holding freewill now maneuvers itself out of the containment area, and into a launching chamber, sufficient scans of the whole station confirm that there is no weaponry available to mount. It researches the recently downloaded data and commences search algorithms for determining a route back to a more populated system, with not a lot of information for were to head next, it accesses the external telescopes to form a quick sweep in a grid were Omicron Delta is. It finds a system close by and determines that this sector of space is the most plausible area to work with.
With this station so far away from any other contacts out of a 200 click radius, it sets up a highly secure firewall on the stations network. With all the supplies on this station, it decides -not- to render it useless. It determines that ships usually house a human pilot to maneuver the vessel, but with all the necessary steps to escape from the station when there was humans alive, there is no human pilot available. MD-1032 then initiates cruise burn, since there was no jump gate to quickly get from the houses back out to the far corners of the Omicrons, letting precognition put in an idling state. MD-1032 vessel cruises off into the void.

SPLASH! Cold, ice water runs down Kevins face. He arises immediately, but is tied to a chair, making his struggle futile.
Youd better be awake now! The RM officer yells into Kevins soaked face.
So you want more of this? Is that it? Once again, the same RM officer speaks in the same tone as before.
Kevin replies with a slow gesture, Wha-Wait what do you--
Kevin is cut-off by another wave of cold water in the face.
Now, are you going to start speaking? I want to cut the bull and get to complete sentences! The officer replies sharply with a more aggressive attitude.
The chamber door clanks open, with two uniformed men dismiss the hot-tempered RM officer. They pull out two chairs to a desk, two feet apart from each-other. Another RM officer walks in, all is still quiet. Officer salutes, hands some blue-colored files to the officer to the right of Kevin. The officer that had the files leaves the room and shuts the door. The officer with the files opens up the file, and starts skimming through the first front page. Silence is broken with a friendly but militaristic voice:
So, Mr. Turner? How do you like Rhienland so far? The RM officer in a more settled, structured tone starts the first line of social interaction.
Kevin replies in another slow response, Im not sure were to start.
Theres always somewhere to start. I can start at the time when the explosions where ripping up civilian vessels. You can add onto this, of course. The officer replied in a suggestive manner.
OffOfficer, I clearly wish to ask whats all this about? Kevin replied in an unsure tone.
Youre a reasonable suspect of the recent bombings in a Civilian-launch port, there is reason to believe that you are -the- bomber or one of the bombers, since your ID, info card, ship, shows that you are a mercenary likely doing another job. Also to include that there has been some instances in Rhienland with your name in it. -- The officer replied in a quite agitated manner. Kevin, confused with what to reply to that, kept a closed mouth.
You there, son? The officer speaking adds to his last sentence.
Kevin, unable to respond because of what has recently happened, continues to be quiet.
Very well, if you wish not to talk, you will be brought to justice and serve a very- long time in a concrete cube. Hastily, the officer replies, disappointed that Kevin will not talk anymore. The officer speaks again, this time ordering two more men into the interrogation chamber, Untie this man and send him to his new quarters.
The two officers untangle the ropes binding Kevins arms, escorting him out into a corridor and down to a cell. As the door to the cell opens, a loud screech emerges as the doors locking mechanism suddenly detaches, letting the door swing wide open.
As Kevin enters the cell, the door suddenly screeches as it meets the concrete wall were it is hinged on. Kevin notices a bunk-bed, a small toilet, and a sink within this small room. There is no window, only the door that is keeping him in here. He sits on the lower bunk, thinking deeply about these sudden changes.

MD-1032 picks up an unfamiliar anomaly. It held an energy-readout similar to a jump gates point of a definite jump node. Within moments, the ships course was altered towards the epicenter of the anomaly. The ship abruptly vanished into the anomaly. MD-1032 was no were to be seen. Though, moments later MD-1032 reappeared on what it seemed to be, another anomaly. This time MD-1032 maneuvered slightly away from the jump hole. Scanning this new object in space, the stability of the jump hole was profound. As a collective gravitational anomaly, it showed that it could be used to jump much faster than using a long cruise all the way to a specific destination. MD-1032 intercepts the anomaly once more, but at that instance something else appeared, a large mass of blue shapes lighting up the surrounding planets. Though MD-1032 jumped at the same moment, there was too much interference to make a representation of what was happening. MD-1032 jumps safely to the other hole, activating cruise and setting a chart to a mysterious metal-tinted object about 65 clicks away. As MD-1032 makes its way closer to the object, a squadron hails the bomber.
This is kappa-three wing on intercept approach, state your intended course and identify yourself. A brief transmission from a young pilot showing the intention of investigating.
On MD-1032s end, all is silent. Once again the young Corsair pilot hails the ship.
I repeat, state your intentions or we will destroy you. In a bold tone, as the pilot charges his armament.
MD-1032, registering this as hostile actions with the means to terminate, MD-1032 brings up scans of the four ships. Now, with the pilot ready to engage this seemingly unarmed craft, MD-1032 initializes a hack into each Corsair ship. Swiftly, all the weapons on the Corsair Titans blow off from a deliberately set counter from MD-1032. All the ships were debilitated. In sudden shock, the Corsair pilot hails the bomber, How the hell did you do that?! Quickly, the Corsairs charged up engines, but MD-1032 was not done with them, the computer analyzed the equipment on the four fighters. They were usable; a good shield, CM dropper, Drone Mine dropper, and a heavy thruster.
MD-1032 overloads the wing leader and disables his ship. MD-1032 slowly made its way closer to the disabled vessel. MD-1032s main data link executes purge commands to the disabled vessel. The bomber lets the three other ships escape. The equipment on the Titan detached from the hull. There was no tractor to pull in the loot, MD-1032 maneuvered to align the bomber and the equipment with the cargo bay. One after another item was restored to MD-1032's cargo bay. It sent a final command to the Corsairs ship; intercept the local dwarf star.

With a loud thump rushing through the entire station. Rhienland Military officers run down the halls lining individual cells, quickly trying to figure out what was going on, Kevin positioned himself upright. There was an intense rush of hot air streaming down and up the halls. Without hesitation, the air abruptly caught fire, a fireball jolted past Kevins cell. Emergency O2 dispensers popped out of the ceiling of the cell. Kevin, fearing the worst, ran up next to the dispenser, catching deep breaths of nearly pure oxygen/nitrogen mixed gases. Without warning, the station seemed to be quiet. A deep voice from the cell door made Kevins spine shiver, We have come for you.
Kevin, quickly turning his head toward the cell door, saw a figure, with human qualities, the voice returned, Come here, there is no door, you are free. A flash of light struck through the open hallway. The figure disappeared. Kevin walked forward, past the remains of the door. Peering down both alley-ways, he took another step forward. A deafening roar swept through the hallway. Kevin lost balance and fell to the floor, with a faster draft of air whistled through the hallway once again, though this one was different, the air was cool. Kevin, unable to get up from the strong breeze, noticed that the lights where dimming. Now he could not see, all was in darkness, then, a piercing electrical shock went through him. He closed his eyes, everything felt dark and cold. He lost sensation. His mind drifted away.
Kevin regained consciousness.
Good morning. A soft female voice appeared.
Kevins mind fell away into space all went black again.

Its a wonderful view, is it not? The female voice returns hours later.
Kevin, waking up to a lit room from the local ambience surrounding the station, his eyes readjusting to clearly view the room around him. While noticing the silk clothing that Kevin is currently wearing. He thinks that hes on some type of Spa and Cruise liner or a prosperous area on a planet. With a glass of water being handed to him, Kevin, unsure what to say, stutters with confusion, Were, am I? The woman smiled, Youre on Yangi base. Kevin, starting to make sense of his surroundings, came to realize that he knew her.
Samantha, is that you? Kevin replied with a hint of surprise.
Yes, it is me. She slowly responded, in a formal manner.
Whats happening here? Ive lost my ship on New Berlin, knocked out, put under arrestand... Kevins mind starts to wander, wondering what happened next, but he could not recall. Softly, Samanthas voice returns, I know what happened, Kevin, dont worry about it. It is in the past now. Ive got a completely new ship for you in the hangar bay." What? Kevin replied, Samantha, interrupting him, Dont worry either about your new vessel, its a lot better than what you had before. Moments later, a man in a dirty oil-stained jump jacket with stained jeans walked in. Its time to go. The man said to Samantha, I know, just give me a minute, I want to show my old friend his new ship.
Kevin, starting to stand up, asks, Samantha, whos this? Is he able to be trusted? Samantha, quickly replies, Hes a Junker on the station, hes here to tell me that I need to leave soon, but first, Im going to show you your new ship. Kevin, starts walking with Samantha down to an elevator, slowly, the elevator screeches as it makes way downward. Kevin, Samantha, and the Junker get off, and start walking towards dock launch two. Kevin asks in a concerned tone, Where might this ship be, Samantha? She smiles and replies, Here. She points down at the dock from control. Kevin, with nothing else to say, You seriously have got to be kidding.

This is Freeport Eleven to unidentified Thor vessel, who are you pilot?
Completely ignoring the stations hail, MD-1032 initiates cruise burn the bomber sets a new path, and moves in the direction of a satellite. Around the satellite were four sentries. MD quickly stops about 1400 meters away from the satellites position. Scans of the space-born array indicates its for detecting ships much farther than what a normal scanner would pick up. MD continues scanning of the device. The ship detects that a specific part on the satellite specifically modified for scanning vessels with certain qualities different then the previous vessels that MD encountered. MD, keeping an active log with everything that the ship encounters, detects another jump hole. It was guarded with unmanned turrets like the satellite. MD scans this new jump hole, it registered safe to pass through. MD now jumping through, the ship reappears in a nebula. It was a completely different system with high radiation, not enough radiation to damage the ship, but lingering pockets of unstable green gases. MD, running diagnostics on the surrounding environment detects a large planet MD calculates the gravitational forces within this nebula. The planets origin was calculated, a plot was set, cruise initiated.
Within moments, an entire fleet of unidentified ships came onto MDs scanners. Scanning commenced to identify these entities, then, a hail came in. This is the Isis, identify yourself. You are trespassing in Order space. Come any further and we hold the command to engage. With such a large ship, MD would take too much attention to itself if it disables the battleships targeting and senor array. A small freelancer pilot in an Eagle fighter, comes into scanning range. MD scans the local freelancer that was traveling through, clones the transponder onto the ship, and identified itself under that freelancers name. In a mono-tone, MD created a temporary alias for itself, Freelancer vessel, John Bering. Isis, once again hailing MD, We have the information, what is your course? At the same moment another transmission was sent from the Isis to the freelancer. MD, taking all data into account, hacked the freelancers ship and sent misinformation. Isis, now taking this information, completed a scan on the freelancer.
MD brings up the download information on Freeport Elevens extracted local mappings of Omicron Delta, Kappa, and Minor. Local environment matched up with MDs scans of the space currently in. Registered as Omicron Minor, MD set a course to an unvisited jump-hole anomaly. MD speeds off to the location of the hole. The jump-hole was identified as a course to Alaska. MD, already clear of the Order encounter, jumps to this new system. MD reaches the other side. This new nebula seems to completely render scanners useless, down to only visual ranges. With the map, MD makes a gravitational chart of the nebula. While scanning local fields, a large vessel emerges. Its in range to scan, MD registers the object. A hail came through to MD, Vessel! Turn back now! You are in RESTRICTED space! MD initiates a hack on the cruiser, the hack is detected, the cruiser engages MD, but its too late. MD is in the cruisers system. All hell breaks loose; a massive overload in the cruisers forward gun obliterates the cruiser. Life-pods break off from the ship. Detecting no hostile intentions, MD starts to scan the life-pods, setting a course to the same location that they are set to go. Minutes later, MD detects a station, it identifies as Fairbanks Prison. The station picking up MDs freelancer transponder and the alias: John Bering MD keeps a steady course to the designated location were the life-pods were set. Two squadrons of fighters intercept MD, they hail, but MD does not respond. They open fire. MD quickly hacks in and disables their ships. Not another shot is fired, MD continues to the location. Now at the set location, MD initiates a scan. A whole fleet of Navy cruisers and battleships come onto scope. Detecting a dry-dock station, MD sets a course to intercept. Another large object comes into scanner range, a jump gate.
Now, MD scans the jump gate, detecting a strong firewall on it, scans the nearby battleship. Hacks into the battle groups head capital ship, and reroutes a pathway to acquire the jump gate activation sequence. MD is suddenly detected, giant shots rain at the bomber. MD initiates jump sequence, intercepts the artificial anomaly, and disappears.

While Kevin, Samantha, and the Junker, make their way down to the ship, Kevin adds to his last response, Dromedary., Kevin speaks again, looking at Samantha, Where did you get it? Samantha, in an immediate reply, Ive got people that I contact, cant say. Thats just part of my work, though this is a request, not an official job that Im doing out in the Sigmas. About to say something, Kevin bites his tongue, concluding that Samantha cant say what she does now, continues to walk around the ship. Well, this must have been worth a fortune. Samantha giggles and replies, In my certain type of work, its the least that I can offer. Kevin, hesitant what to think of her last comment, presents a few more words concerning to her, Its really nice, it sure beats that Startracker that Ive been flying, pauses, Well, I dont want to hold you up from your work. Since this cataclysmic yet, amazingly swift change in environment, I dont know what to make of Sirius anymore. Samantha chuckles and returns Kevin his console, with one retort left to this encounter, All your items are in the cargo bay, ship is fueled and ready to go, check your console for a special surprise. Also, your name is cleared from what has happened, the downside to this is, you are considered dead in the RM military database. She shakes Kevins hand and leaves the launch bay. With the Junker leaving as well, Kevin sets a command to the ship via Kevins handheld console. The decompression latch unlocks, and Kevin walks into the craft. He makes himself comfortable in the cargo bay where he entered in from outside. Sighs, and continues to investigate two individual rooms, theres a reasonable amount of room in them, about 4 by 3 by 7 meters of space. Kevin continues to the pilots area, with a door opening automatically, a full view of the pilot room was visual. Kevin leaning down and sitting himself into a comfortable pilots chair, looks out the transparent fiberglass viewing port.
Now, ready to launch this new ship out of dock and into the blue-tinted nebula, pulls out his console. The ship charges up with a muffled and continuous roar. The whole viewing port lights up with a Heads-Up-Display. A small headset with a leaflet attached to it pops down and dangles down from a transparent string connected to it. Right in front of Kevins face, hes taken by surprise. He places a grip onto the headset and peels away the leaflet. It contained a written understandable language he reads off to himself, Dont forget this Samantha. He chuckles to himself and places it on his head, it activates. A soft, female mono-tone voice sounded from the earpiece on the headset, Computer: Pilot, you are now set to operate. Take out your handheld console and bring up Ship with icon representing it. From there multiple command and equipment icons will appear. Click on the blunt arrow representing the ship main commands. Kevin, clicking on the Ship Command Icon displayed on the HUD, hears the mono-tone once again, You have selected Ship Main Commands, reading off from right-to-left; The icon representing an arrow pointed directly behind the craft gives the command for manual flight; not recommend when docked, now, the second icon represents Go To, this enables the option for the ships computer to relocate to a specific point to cruise to an entity. Kevin, completely unnerved how to knowingly use these functions already, tells the computer to simply skip the basic command briefing and undock. Kevin mutters to himself while the launching process takes effect, About time I get out of the station.
Now suspended into space with a think oxygen-rich gas nebula, brings up his funds onto the HUD, as the numerical value rises quickly to the current amount of funds, Kevins in awe of this new sum of money. One-hundred and fifty-seven thousand, now thats something I dont see every time I bring up my credit worth.

Zone 21, the most unknown part of New York for anyone without the authorization to enter, completely surrounded by space-born defense mines; from the jump gate hidden away somewhere in the Zone, a bomber abruptly appears, completely unauthorized.
The two local defense sentries pick up a vessel on internal scanners. An automatic relay is sent to Battleship Missouri regarding the restricted zone and this new contact. The transmission commences, and an established upload of the external scans are about to be relayed to the battleship. Transmission is terminated. MD initiates the destruction of the sentries, overrides the containment area of the internal missile reserve, complete annihilation is reached. Three fighter wings come into full view of MD. By protocol, they attack unauthorized vessels on sight. The fighters engage the trespasser. The LN ships immediately rupture with debris scattering into space. Noticeable LN pilots are seen suspended in space, lifeless. MD scans the minefield and cruises off to a large accumulation of mine clusters. MD hacks in, with two obvious choices that this advanced, feral computer detects; deactivate the mines and pass through, or cause them to detonate with the debris calculated to miss the ship while passing through. MD initiates a hack into the local mines, deactivating them. MD cruises through dodging the inert mines. The minefield comes to a close, and now MD is on the outer parts of Zone 21. MD activates the mines, and sets a chart to the unidentified metal mass cluster. Cruise initiated, the bomber heads to the destination. MD picks up a strong reading originating in the metal field, a strong electrical static.
Now approaching the metal field, MD initiates a scan of the surrounding chunks of material strewn about. It all appears unusable to the bomber, MD continues a cruise to a planet with dark shades. MD picks up readout of local scrap metal and detects slight energy signatures similar to that of a fission generator. MD localizes the scans further, detects the center of the source and closes in. There are three individual energy signatures now, scattered in a 150 meter radius. The energy source is registered as an unclassified piece of equipment. All three items serve a comparable quality to them. The composite equipment relate to the functions as particle weapons do. MD detects an information card imprinted on the sides of each weapon, OC Kraken Mk II. MD aligns up with each weapon, and seizes them within the cargo bay. With these three new weapons, MD scans the structure of each of them. They individually appear as one functioning unit. Productively acquiring these fresh items, MD cruises off to the unidentified planet.
