It wasn't so much about Dab as it was that over half of the 'balance issues' is just hype caused by people just taking what others say to be true, without testing it for themselves. And then they talk about it as if they encountered the problem themselves.

Example: Tenacity complains that NPC are too uber and kill cruisers (he was talking about Nomad NPC, but wasn't very clear about this).
Someone sees this, and thinks that all NPC are uber, (because Tenacity wasn't clear that it was Nomad NPC, or he didn't read it). That someone starts complaining that NPC are uber.
Someone else reads all this complaining, and jumps on the bandwagon and starts screaming too.

So before you start talking about things, go test stuff yourself. Or at the very least, take the time to look up the raw data before taking what someone said (completely wrong battle razor damage values) to be true.

thats 1 razor hit on hull on a GC bomber, and red cat. as you can clearly see, it doesnt instakill it. the ONLY way it -can- instakill it if the bomber's hull was previously damaged by normal guns (at least 1 bar of hull damage).

there is nothing more proof than ingame testing that i can show. it is definitely not a bug, since we repeated the test three times each.

I like how you all COMPLETELY ignored frozen.

As some previous posts have said, this topic is simply a RAEGFEST. Two of the three bombers involved were instakilled by a single destroyer. With two battle razors? Especially when a single cruizer battle razor is NOT capable of instakilling them? Something was either bugged, or they are not properly equipped.

Those 9 Battlerazor's might give somebody a heartattack...

And to end this thread: I used to hit Bombers, even fighters sometime, with my Light Mortars in .84... And on the old Assault Frigate LABC I could take on upwards of 3-4 and gun them down because my Light Mortar's would hit them.

While the Cruiser BR has a faster speed and can near instantaneously kill enemy Bombers, the Light Mortar did at most the same and I could reach you with twice the range of my Primary Guns... Bomber's exploding from 5 Kilometers was unheard of.
Not to mention that the Kusari Dessie has the advantage, the guns are placed near the 'center' of the ship, and one of the main problems of Capital Ship weaponry is that because the ships can be rather large; The guns on the right side have a habit of just being off a few inches to the right, and the guns on the left have a habit of just being off a few inches to the left...

The Kusari Dessie has most all its guns on a thin centerpoint, so while it may or may not help... I bet you I could do the same your doing with Battlerazor's with other heavy-hitters if I had a Kusari Destroyer.

I believe this thread needs to be locked. It is like tears are running down the sides my monitor and dripping on my desk.

Razors are fine at what they are intended to do. Honestly, they are not that great for killing light stuff.
