When I saw this idea, the first thing that instantly popped into my head was "Ori". They just sound so much like them though, they might aswell replace the followers with Priors saying "Hallowed are the Ori". And thats what I like about it, and why i'm interested in it. I would actually like to join if possible at the moment, but have no idea where I would start with that.

(P.S. There are other reasons other than "it reminds me of a TV show". I like the role-play of it, and preaching something thats right sounds like my kinda thing.)

They are SUPPOSED to "spam"! Its their only weapon. And they do it fabulously.

and yeah....i would ease up on the "light".... too much is too much. There are countless other nouns that
could serve your point.

Oracles have the name Oracle in their name.

The entire thing about the Light is nothing at all to do with the Oracles.
It was stated that the Oracles too would be subject to the cleansing of the Light, suggesting they aren't involved.

So yes, the whole Light thing is different and a bit more..aggressive.
Accept the Light, or be condemned to eternal darkness.


The Light thing is based roughly on the Ori, taking aspects of it etc.
You'll soon be enlightened:D

I already talked to krixx about going through PR, he apparently didnt realize there's another route into Kansas (he was going through PR to get through humboldt).

Wont happen again, besides I've sent him up to gallia to preach there.

Um, #1 - we're a fairly non-combatant faction, our PURPOSE is to spam chat with our preaching. We gain followers and create enemies through words and transmissions, not through fighting - you should probably try talking back to us sometime, it'd be more interesting for you.

as to #2 - no, all of our members are strictly forbidden from directly mentioning the nomads, the light, the wild, or anything relating to them directly. If we go around acting like psuedo-keepers or infected individuals, every lawful faction (and most unlawfuls) in the mod will be shooting at us on sight. That is not the goal, the goal is to 'play' within the boundaries of each house's laws so that we cannot be acted against by the police/military, while simultaneously doing something considered by most to be illegal.

Yes, we do follow the k'vosh / nomads, but we do not openly admit it, because the prejudice of most factions in this game would cause them to mark us as kill on sight targets. That's one reason we use the freelancer ID now as well, to prevent being shot at without cause.

Well, we only have to convince them to seek out the shrine, the shrine's indoctrination signal takes over from there and does the job of brainwashing for us =P

I can guarantee it wasn't me. Though I've been travelling and spreading the word a bit, I don't have the Oracle| tag yet (have some things I want/need to do before that and I haven't managed to catch an Oracle online in a while) and I also have no weapons to shoot with anyway.;)

I ran into one of those "Light" preachers once, but he was on his way out (to log off I think) and I didn't get to interact with him much, just enough to confirm he wasn't talking about Nomads.

As an aside.. it's interesting to me how this whole experience has even affected Randy's speech patterns. Much of his Southern Drawl just doesn't come out anymore. Hmm.

Ive noticed alot of people lately, people I will refer to as "lolmads", going into unknown, buying a nomad LF and ID then thinking they are either nomad, or an oracle. or both... Worse yet I think people are mistaking them for us.

then they are not an oracle. please do not confuse us with lolmads.

I'll abstain from commenting on my feelings as to the quality of spam that you bring to the table, rather I would dare request that you consider keeping it to /l chat. As entertaining as it is to have a constant stream of unending text about the corruption of mankind, death, light and so on flash across one's screen for the duration of one's patrol I can't exactly tune you out without setting you to ignore.

In other words, reduce your noise footprint if you're going to do nothing but bang on the keyboard for two hours. It can infringe on everyone else's ability to interact with one another.

I second what Dusty said. It's annoying seeing five lines of our spam in system along with the group chat spam. I end up missing something important, so, /l pl0x.
