Ha, you idiots still ain't learned a damn thing have ya? Back in the day it was weapon licensing, now it's a total embargo on all goods entering or exiting Rheinland.
That's fine, your citizens will still cry out for goods Rheinland produces and they'll still get em. After all that's what the Rogues are for, everything the law won't allow you to have.
So if you folks want goods shipped in all you got to do is hit up any Rogue and we'll handle all your shipping needs, for a fee of course.
Meanwhile think of all that taxable income you silly bastards are losing out on.
Seriously you folks haven't got a sodding clue.

Saint Del is considered a holy healer of diseases of children, but also as a protector of cattle.
This embargo is the heighth of stupidity. Long ago we set out on a course away from this kind of governmental oversight and abuse. We fought to the destruction of our own home world, and still we have not learned the lessons of human nature.
Man is inherently born FREE.
Our rights are not given to us by governments, they are part of the nature of our existence.
Somewhere along the line a couple of enterprising bloaks decided that they would create this thing called 'credit' which in truth is nothing but a notion.
True worth and value are established between two folks looking to work a deal. I'll give you A for B... simple barter. Somehow we, the free people of the universe, have allowed this corrupt thing called 'credit' to enslave us; because we NEED credits to function in this environment... or so we've been told.
My issue with this embargo has nothing to do with the nature of conflict between houses, it has everything to do with the economic pain inflicted upon innocents affected by your gross decision.
Simply put, if the governments of Liberty and Rheinland are going to force their citizens to live under this universal system of credit then you need to step out of the way and allow your citizens to earn those credits in whatever manner they see fit to do so.
It also seems that your embargo is affecting our Zoner personnel on FP2 in Bering. Some seem to think that to to "prevent" us from going into Rheinland that we are to be stopped from going to the Freeport altogether. I think that snag needs to be worked out.
Doc
This Freeport has been the center of much controversy concerning the embargo. A possible solution would be to escort the trader to the Freeport, have him sell the cargo and then have the officer to inspect the cargo bay to ensure there's nothing left on board. Laws take time to change however and until we can work out an agreement, the Freeport may suffer due to this embargo.

Hmmm... I don't know about this stance Liberty is taking. We in Kusari observe a kind overlook to Gaijin blokcade runners. If you're brave, lucky or downright dumb enough to break through Bretonian lines in an effort to bolster the Emperor's might, we see no need to infringe on that. Unless you're Bretonian, hauling restricted items, or dumb enough to be both. Some common sense on your officer's part is all it takes to see if they're bringing in any "spies" or sabotage equipment.

Although this strategy may work in principle, it relies solely on scanning technology. Although it is extremely difficult to essentially "trick" this technology, it is possible. If just one transport was allowed through with, for example, nuclear ordinates on board and the scanning technology was somehow fooled, this could lead to devastation in Liberty.

I'm sure the proud citizens of Liberty would prefer to miss out on a few luxuries than support the very people that are hell-bent on destroying us. Good luck though, we'll be waiting at the border for you.

Zoner Meiun,
out.
"Allow your citizens to earn those credits in whatever manner they see fit to do so" - You would suggest to obtain credits by any means possible? Pick-pocketing? Robbing banks? Killing people for money? Pirating? That sounds more like anarchy than a stable nation. The role of the government is to provide protection and support to its citizens. Laws are made and enforced to keep the entire nation happy, not just a few citizens who want to make a fast buck.
In conclusion, the embargo will not change to suit the needs of the few. The Liberty government in partnership with the armed forces took much time deliberating over this embargo. As long as we are at war with Rheinland, the embargo stays.
This channel is still open for for questions and comments.

This is not open for discussion, personal affaires should be handle by private communications to the high heads in the Liberty Forces, before to try our credibility in this matter.
The announcement made here is not up for debate, or argument. Should you have a problem with it, file a formal complaint to the Liberty Navy High Command, and if we like the title of your message, maybe, just maybe, we might read it.

So we're supposed to wait while this issue is debated in committee or something while personell on the base suffer? Nice way to create innocent victims. And you wonder why we got out of house space so long ago.
An escort? There isn't always someone around when we need to make runs in. Again, we have schedules to keep and waiting isn't an option.
BTW, as you may or may not know, by trade I am a dentist and the only known Zoner to be one so I make regular stops to render services to our bases and I don't go with an empty hold either.

RE: Embargo or Distraction?
To Whom It May Concern:
Gateway Interstellar has committed itself to obeying house laws in any territory in which we operate, and we have - and will continue to - abide by the embargoes put in place by both the Liberty and Rheinland governments, even though those embargoes are quite bad for our trade routes.
That said, I must register my utter dismay at your public clamor over this law when you seem unable to secure your space to begin with. In the past several days, multiple employees of Gateway have been extorted out of millions of credits in California and the eastern half of Cortez. Our crews have been threatened, and our ships damaged. Either no Liberty naval or police vessel has been around, or they could not be bothered with our calls for aid.
Perhaps instead of huffing over perceived threats on your southern frontier, you should attend to the very real threats on your western.
Sincerely,
Sir Alisdair Buchanan, KBE
CEO and Chair

Message reads:
If this is the Total Texan blockade, why are ships beeing stopped before they even are in the Texas system. Is not Berring an indipendant systems. If your trying to stop Rheinland goods from getting into Texas fine, but preventing us Zoners from getting much needed supplies to our bases is a bit out of line. We can easily provide you with a listing of comodaties that are normally received at Freeport 2 so only those goods are allowed to get to our base. Where as a list of goods sold at that base to export can also be provided so we can get those items out. If this war drags on for too long and the blockade stays in place Freeport 2 will become a ghost town. Folks will leave in droves ,or die trying to stay there.
You said that this is not up for discussion nor debate. Perhaps the citizens of Liberty will hold their peace while being robbed and violated by their government. WE, however, will not stand for it.
I'm sure that Liberty understands its -very- delicate hold on the Pennsylvania system. Attempting to starve the inhabitants of Freeport 2 because of your political bickering is not going to be looked kindly upon by the residents of Bethlehem, Erie, and the other Zoner bases of Pennsylvania. Rethink your strategy, and rethink it quickly if you want to maintain stability of your newfound territory.
For now, the RFS_Freedom will be moving its operations to Pennsylvania to protect Zoners from further harassment by the Libertonian government.
A nation should never allow its govornment too much influence into economic matters. A govornment powerful enough to give you everything you want is also powerful enough to take it away. This whole war in my opinion is an image of Liberty takeing away the very thing it is named after. The Rheinland press has the right to publish what it wishes. Their government has no obligation to censor the press, and infact would be overstepping its bounds to do so. So now that this ridiculous war over freedom of speech has begun we get this. Liberty is preventing the trade of non-war related materials between their territory and Rheindland (And the independent systems inbetween). This does nothing but damage both economies. Liberty companies need buyers for their products and Liberty manufacturer's need materials to produce their goods. This embargo will hurt Rheinland but it hurts you just asmuch. And just as Sir Alisdair Buchanan has pointed out. While you commit this economic suicide you are ignoreing the rampant problem of piracy now sweeping accross Liberty. You leave the traders bringing what goods you accually allow in your systems to be pillaged by pirates while you train in Conneticut to wage a war against freedom of speech. So much for liberty in Liberty.
