As Fred picked up his name, followed by "promoted" and then "Captain", he developed various twitches. Then, for a moment, he was silent. His pen fell from his hand, his knee jerked up and knocked his desk over. Fred proceeded to dash from the room, screaming frantically.
Alfred was sitting in his ship near the Jump gate in Califorina, waiting for his shift to end, when he recieved a radio call ordering him back to headquarters by Deputy Chief Hull O'Brian. Not wanting to keep Deputy Chief Hull O'Brian to long, Alfred decides not to change out of his flight suit. Deputy Chief yells, what the hell did you do! Questioning look from Alfred! What are you talking about O'Brian? The Chief just came in here and threw these strips on my desk with your name on them :rtfm: and said that you are making his life hell so, he wanted to repay you for it. :yahoo: Deputy Chief Hull O'Brian Yells, Alfred De Beckon... You are out of uniform fix it now! Alfred Salutes! Preforms about face and runs out of Deputy Chief Hull O'Brian office yelling I will be at the Sunbucks bar!
Aiden is jolted from a nice deep sleep by the alarm on his comm. "What is it? My shift doesn't start for three hours." he said. Deputy Chief O'Brian's voice came back over the comm "Maggard, get your arse down to HQ right now!" Aiden jumps out of bed and rushes down to the hanger where his Liberator is parked. After the short flight Aiden ran into O'Brian's office. "Okay, what's all the fuss about? Let me guess I'm fired, right?" O'brian dropped his head and replied "It's worse than that. You are promoted to Sergeant." A look of shock came over Aiden's face. "Now get out there and give 'em hell." As Aiden walked walked away he glanced over at some new recruits. "Now it's time to find a lacky, that paperwork doesn't do itself." he mumbled.
My patrol of the New York system was both brief and violent. First we ran into a Zoner carrying slaves. After several excuses and attempts to flee, LPI forces managed to corral him back to Planet Manhattan where he was forced to dispatch his human cargo.
Next, we ran up against a smuggler operating under a couple of different alias'. Again, he too attempted to flee, but LPI quickly caught up with him and, when under duress, finally paid the required 2 million credit fine.
Lastly, while trying to meet up with Captain Toronto, I was lane hacked and cd'd by a couple of Jungle Pirates. They attacked with only a warning of 'Gut Em', after my shields were down and my hull severly buckled. Eventually, I succumbed to there illegal tactics and was my pod was tractored to Fort Bush.
(Personal note: Nukes are not my friends. Consider getting Screamers instead)

We have out marching orders on the Texas blockade. Message is here.
The Updated liberty laws states :
QUOTE
Liberty Texan total blockade
As our nation is currently at war with Rheinland, all trading traffic toward Rheinland or coming from it is now to be halted and turned back. Pilots attempting to break the blockade will be terminated on sight.
Options and Penalty - Part 5, Section C, Paragraph 5
QUOTE
The violator has the following choices:
-Drop the illegal goods to travel further
-Turn back in order to keep the goods.
Failure to comply will result in death.
UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE:
If a Liberty / Bretonian / Kusari trader wishes to turn back towards liberty space, by all means let them go unmolested. Inform them the Embargo is for the duration of the war.
If a Rhineland trader wishes to turn back, give them a warning that we will be vigilant and should not see him/her/it again. Allow Him/her/whatever to return to Rhineland space.
Zoners and Freeport II: No guidance has been given as to cargo consigned to or from this freeport. A message will be addressed to Liberty High Command for guidance.
If a trader drops his load to continue on, OR is destroyed for non compliance, tractor in the cargo and drop it off at Houston. This is done to get the materials back into the Liberty supply system. Any monetary amount rcvd from grateful merchants needs to be transferred to the LPI-Rikers.
The Liberty Police Inc. does not reimburse traders for lost cargo. Period. If they have a problem with you, direct them to send a message in the LPI Diplomatic channel.
If possible, take the LPI-Devils Island with you. It is to be stationed on Houston for the duration of this operation. Please remember to have it's fuel tank filled and dump the ash tray. I will be docking pay for sugary fingerprints on the windshield too.
Edit: I know, some of you are going to say that we should allow supplies to come into Liberty and use them for our war effort. Until the High command changes it's mind, we are stuck with these orders.

Theres two ports of some importance out there. The Freeport and the Planetform operation currently laboring under Libertonian interests.
For the Freeport, itself a card pulled on many occasions, I would suggest that allowances of basic necessities be allowable for transport without accompanying guard. By which I mean food, water and air. What one needs to get buy.
Not a load of cryo-cubes, prisoners or whatsit.
Anything else to require escort by those members of the Liberty Navy whom are free for such duties.
The above to be transported by Zoners only, zero exceptions to the contrary.
As to the base, well, I imagine we'll need to work that out with Planetform.

My humble two cents.
And a smart two cents it is. I personally haven't been down to Bering in quite some time, I didn't realize Planetform had gotten that far yet.
Zoners have no ill will towards Liberty, and I don't think we should give them a reason. Until I talk to the Chief, I think what you have listed is good to go to the Freeport.
I will also ask the Chief to go thru the chain of command to talk to Planetform. The Navy might have to run escort duty.

Subject: Liberties Embargo, Freeport 2 in Bering, and Cold Bay depot in Hudson.
Chief,
It is in my opinion that the LPI, LSF, LN, and the Liberty Government need to contact and have meetings with the Council of Zoners over Freeport Two in Bering and with Planetform for Cold Bay Depot in Hudson.
I personally have serious qualms about cutting off supplies to this Zoner base. The Zoners have not and never have been enemies of the Liberty Nation, and I don't think it is a good idea to start now. With war out in the open now, we need friends, and the zoners may yet be that friend we need. At a minimum, we should immediately be allowing ZONER tagged / Zoner IFFed vessels with food, water, medicine, and air thru the embargo to Freeport Two until said meeting with the Zoner council has occured.
In the case of Planetform and Cold Bay Depot, perhaps some sort of escort could be worked out. Planetform is there at the Liberty governments behest, we should help them get supplies in and some sort of security. I would hate to see all that hard work fall into the hands of the Rhinelanders and become a base to be used against Liberty.
Signed,

Officer Seymore Justice sneaks into the office of Chief Matt Myers. In his hand, he holds a piece of paper. On it, it reads:
Dear Chief,
I hereby request to be admitted as a member of SWAT. Please don't hurt me. I will go back to cleaning toilets if you so desire. My only wish is to perform whatever duty will keep me away from you. I mean, keep me from getting in your way. Please use me as a member of SWAT. I can take the pain no longer. Those bricks hurt....really bad.
Your Humble Officer,
Seymore Justice
Seymore walks back out of the office, closes the door carefully, and then runs like hell.
