Recruiting for other servers

I agree wit majkp... Discoverers should be united... not stealing members from each other server...

As soon as i see him in game. I will get him out of here. Report any activity of recruiters like him here. A screenie of her/him trying to recruit for other server is all i need to act.

That is actually quite sad if someone would waste their time like that. Banning is of course the only soltuion but now we must think, is he the only one or are their more of them here we havent detected?

I'm not suggesting a witchunt, far from it, it's more of a rhetorical question and a suggestion that we should all be vigilent and keep a lookout for ppl like him.

Hoodlum graciously took the time and wasted effort from his busy schedule to report the matter on BK Forums. Whether it will have the least effect remains to be seen.

I have done NO SUCH THING! FED-EX is my player. I did not offer money to other players on Rogue Ideas, nor have I done it here with 1 exception. When it was learned that this server may not return I offered to help Firebird get set up with a backup player. I PM'd him here. That's it. Ask him. (full disclosure)

Whe this server was down and some of your people came over to BK, I did offer to help some get started that I knew from my time here before I went to BK. Korrd even stopped by.

I repeat....I DO NOT POACH! Anyone telling you these things is either lying or there is a poser. This accusation is BS and I'll have words with whomever is responsible for it.

And I declined the offer and we happily never spoke of it again...careful on the ban here, be sure to have the right player and reasons. Proof of course helps. But to verify, yes Chuckster did ask me in PM, and that came about following a line of discussion...IT WAS NOT a "come join this server" plea (just to be crystal clear:cool:).

I believe that we are victims of some kind of misunderstanding here. I assume that my knowledge of FED_EX's actions on our server might be incorrect. Not going to make any conclusions about Rogue Ideas.

Never said that I'm going to ban FED_EX. I'm going to ban those who will recruit and will offer money, and about whom we will have proof. Screenshots. No such proof exists about FED_EX. I've got nothing against BK server or Marsflier (FED_EX) personally. However, I am going to amend the rules with a paragraph about recruiting.

Now the only Proof i have is the chat i had with two members of my server in voice chat and nothing written down.


January 2007 ... i had a complaint that a member named Chuckster told a member to join BK and as he was a Admin would give him credit to change, with this i e-mail IpBuster with this following e-mail

I cannot be held responsible for the actions of the players on my server doing things in yours like recruiting ETC now im not fond of them doing it but I can't stop them. In my honest opinion I would (if I where you) place a Server rule in game or on a forum stating that Recruiting for other servers is not permitted here. That is the best i can do honestly cause i can only enforce what they do in my server not yours. Sorry

I had spoken to admin marsflier on BK and he said he had an account called Mr slippy on my server and it had been deleted, 2 weeks after meeting Mars he cam on to my server under the name FED_EX and asked if he could speak to one of his members on mine to explain as to why he banned him from BK.

2 to 3 weeks later i get another complaint saying that a Player Called FED_Ex was doing the same thing and trying to recuite...


Both Chuckster/trader Chuckster and FED_Ex both was banned from Rogues...


Now if its the wrong person here then i say hey give him a chance,, but as Igiss Knows i even banned him from my server once, because we had people coming on in his name all the time, to which on the day he came online in person i banned him lol....

all my bans are in place and it is up to Discovery what they do. but until i get more proof i will keep them banned, i will ask the members who complained to give me something in writing

If somebody was offering large amounts of money to move servers, they are an idiot because this community is small enough that you would get nailed after the 1st or 2nd time. Everyone here knows that. You would have to be the stupidest Admin in the world to think you would get away with it. I probably have a poser.

I hardly think the BK admins can do nothing to solve this. Simply tell their players on forums and in-game with regular messages that those recruiting from and to their server will get their accounts banned.
