Change the Server Name to Discovery Roleplaying 24/7

Ah, sorry, "Discovery Freelancer RP 24/7" then.
That's the point.
The people that don't know that RP means roleplaying probably aren't interested in roleplaying, and even less a roleplaying server. Clearly stating that it is a roleplaying server will let those people know, before they get on and "lol wut r u talking about?" when someone tries to talk to them.

As i've said, I really don't see how fully extending 'RP' in the server name will help. But of course, this is just my opinion.

Heck, even within the server itself there are more than enough references to this being an RP server, console messages and such, but especially the first time you log in, you are directed to the Discovery website for more info.

But yes, by all means put 'Roleplaying' in the server name, although I really do feel that overall it will have very little impact or a profound effect on the large, already avaliable, amount of information pointing towards the nature of this server and forums.

Hmm, while i'm not entirely sure it'd make a huge difference, I voted yes to change it as I feel it'd just state it that little bit more clearly. I don't know, it probably won't get changed anyway:P

I voted "Yes," simply because I find it looks more professional to have "Discovery (Freelancer?) Roleplaying 24/7" than "Discovery Freelancer RP 24/7." Abreviations don't make a good impression on me, generally speaking. That's just my own opinion, though. However, I doubt it'd make much difference on the level of getting people to understand what kind of server this is. It's more for aesthetics that I voted yes here.

Also, on a side note:

I'm not sure how a server name change will change things... people blantantly know what RP is, and if they don't, they don't know what is roleplay at all anyway...

Just because someone doesn't know what RP is doesn't mean that they won't like it once they try it, nor that they shouldn't play just because of lack of knowledge in the domain.

I see where you are coming from, but could it really hurt to try? People obviously read the server name, and obviously not everyone interprets "RP" as "Roleplaying."

That is also my line of thought - it adds something, even slightly, without much effort at all. It's small, but percentage wise, it seems an effective step.
