With us working with the LN and LSF on the embargo, we have been tasked with recording information on the embargo breakers. Please document name, ship type, and affiliation. Rhineland corporations are high on the list. It is surmised by the Homeland Intelligence that the Rhineland government and Military are using Rhineland corporation ships to do their dirty work.

Enough is enough. I am tired of smugglers that dock and sell off their illegal cargo, then launch and ask you to prove that he had it.
As long as you have photographic proof, and you can provide it showing they are guilty, TRIPLE the fine. Make sure they know that they can pay the regular fine, or get the photographic proof at TRIPLE the price. They want to waste your time, lets make it worth it.

I finally got out from underneath all that paperwork to go do some good old fashioned police work. I launched and hooked up with several officers, and learned that the Bretonian Ambassador was on his way to make a speech. The LN was cordoning of trade lanes and asked us to help maintain watch over the Embassy ship and the Ambassador's ship once it arrived in orbit.
The LPI and joint units from the LSF and LN were flying C.S.P., all the while hearing taunts from the various scum who liked to talk a lot, but have no guts to follow up on their threats. The one problem child that did give us some concern was a SCRA| member in system, but we hadn't had any contact with them.
Out of no where, a group of Xenos started to attack the Ambassador's ship and the Embassy ship! I called all available LPI units to Manhattan, issued my engage notice, and had at them. Now I was busy fighting when I saw a....well.... weird thing. The Lane Hacker Logic Bomb was attacking the Xenos. Sorry for that Missile I shot at ya.
On we fought, when the TWO (!) SCRA| members joined the fight. Then 2 more lane Hackers appeared, but didn't engage right away, the said they were there to protect the other Lane Hackers. At this time, the BAF fighters joined the fray. What a furball. Plasma, Fighters, destruction everywhere. It was almost as bad as that one time Cesar streaked naked thru the New Recruit Graduation ceremony....
Now for some reason, the SCRA| decided to go pick on some Civilian shipping, and destroyed the Universal Flagged ship The Liberty Belle. No idea why they changed targets.
We lost a fighter on our side, but we dealt back 2 losses to them. A BAF Pilot, I believe LT Austin, formed up with me and we pressed home our attacks.
The fight must have charged the surrounding space, because a massive ION storm engulfed us all.
When I was able to make sense of things again, the attackers were gone, and the Ambassador was ok.

Got reports of that Logic Bomb nerd near Pittsburgh... as I headed out, lo and behold, it was... Jenkins. The fool said his name! Sweet mother of all that's holy, YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS! He went insane! ER! I heard he charged the gunboat, guns -- and torpedoes -- blazing. The poor fool. I headed out, but Jenkins had blown himself up, so I chased the nerd gunship around until he offered me pie. To make sure it wasn't poisoned, I had him eat it where I could see him. It was poisoned. He almost died, but autopilot got him out and he regained consciousness. Tricky bugger. We let him go.
Then, by Fort Bush, some Outcast or Rogue Falcata was there. First supernova that I shot hit his hull, har. Was funny, cuz he bragged about how he would bust me up right before I hit him.
Right, where to start.. I took my liberator out for a patrol because the word was there was a Hacker pirating people in NY for 50 MILLION apiece.
Well it seems that by the time I arrived, the Hacker had buggered off. My radar Indicates I have a OTC member inbound to Manhattan, so I scan him. Sure enough, he has artifacts. I ordered OTC ROY to halt. He doesn't.
I ordered Manhattan to lock the gates. I turn to pursue said perp, AND EVERY DANG CONTROL LOCKED UP! I was on a collision course with the planet! I just managed to eject in time.
Henceforth, since this seems to be a problem getting working freaking ships for our officers, the maintenance department is on weekly mandatory Urinalysis. "Weed heads" and "Sniffers", take note now.

On my patrol, i ran across a nomad with a designation Unknown.Biomass. He led us on a chase through the New York system, in a circle, asking us not to follow him. I finally tired of the chase and planted my butt at Planet Manhattan. He disappeared and I waited for him to make the circuit back around so I could nab 'em. Unfortunately, he didn't show up.
An idea occurred to me. How about luring him out with a donut. I spoke out on the general comms for the nomad to show himself at Planet Manhattan. If he showed I promised him I would give him a donut. To my surprise, he manifested himself about three clicks away and waited. I approaced him and jettisoned a nice jelly donut for him to sample. He accepted it and after ingesting it, made the statement that it was sweet.
I think it must have been too sweet, because all that sugar messed up it's thinking faculties and it made a beeline right for the sun. I followed it a safe distance away so as not to burn myself up in the sun's corona. It made some strange comment about being 'reborn' and quickly burned up. That was the end of that.
So, we may have stumbled upon a new strategy for repulsing the nomad attacks. Simply get them to eat our donuts. Who knew the secret weapon was right in our grasp. I mean...in our mouths. Mmmmm. Jelly donuts.
Ahem, anyways, here's a pic of the suicide message.
Oh, and btw, we destroyed Saronsens ship....again.
Ok, the LPI command has been hearing some feedback from traders , and it seems that a few of them are getting fined even though they have turned around , or dumped their cargo. This is not protocol.
To re-iterarate, if a trader turns around, or dumps his cargo in compliance with protocol, he is free to go. Period.
Now, if he trader does not comply and trys to run, please refer to the LPI laws, which is quoted here:
* Violation of the Texan Blockade; Defined as attempting to pass through the blockade to deliver illegal goods from or to Rheinland. The violator has the following choices:
-Drop the illegal goods to travel further
-Turn back in order to keep the goods.
Failure to comply will result in death.
