i have troubles. i just instaled the game, downloaded the mod manager, the mod<strike> 4.85</strike> and activated it, running the game in the discovery freelancer RP shortcut the only server avaiable is the 4.254 version. i dotn understand.. what is happening?? what can i do to play discovery?
thank you
EDIT!!!!: i was wrong.. the mod version i downloaded is the 4:84, not the 4:85
That just means there are no on-line servers running the 4.84 mod at this time. If you wish to play on our
server, you need 4.85, and the updater, as pointed out by Kindred.
Hoodlum
Edit... Just enabled my GLS again, there are 3 servers running 4.84 You will need to take the mod off the FLMM,
and re-enable it

ok ok thank you very much to you both. Now i understand what was the problem: the discovery 24/7 RP is the server whee everybody is playing beta testing 4.85 (i thought there was a server apart, and that one was 4.84)
I believe there are still a few 4.84 mods around, but you'll need to either locate them manually (Or use ModDB/Lancersreactor) or use the Global Server Workaround to find them, I'm sure there's a handy tutorial around for it.
Too bad if you switch back to 4.84 on another server, i assume all yoru status, all the money you've made are gone. Its like starting a new account. I know i would love to be able to play 4.85 on the USA server since the ping for that for me is around half compared to the global one.

It's safe enough to switch between 4.84 and 4.85. You just need to remember to save your account information using FAM. Most of the time you don't even need to do that but it's safer to save it anyway.
