Today, I was rushed out of bed and was told to get my butt in my SWAT bomber to help in the fight against Rheinland. Reports of several Rheinland battleships and cruisers were seen outside Texas Jumpgate in Bering. Hey, i'm not Navy. But, they were quite insistant, and since I don't speak german, I thought I should listen.
So, I hopped into my bomber, met up with LPI-Amy McTavish and a bunch of Navy boys and waited nervously outside Planet Houston. Not too much time later, we all joined up at the Bering Jumpgate and prepared to ward off the enemy invasion.
The bombers were instructed to go through first and draw the fire from the Battlecruisers. Unfortunately for me, I was in a bomber. I went through first and immediately was set upon by a whole mess of Rheinland military battleships. Soon, others jumped through and we made surprisingly quick work of the Rheinland intruders. LPI did themselves proud as we didn't lose any men and fought valiantly throughout the entire battle. I have some pics of the battle.
It was both exiting and nerve-wracking at the same time. I thought I was a goner for a little while, but we all pulled through. LNS-San Francisco got damaged. And we lost LNS-Equilibrium. But, the LSF and LPI made it without any casualties. All in all, a good old fashioned butt whipping.
I was on patrol for a couple hours.. Scan many a cargo hold for illegal cargo. Assisted McTavish in destroying a pirate that goes by Ralen.. The Suspect was pirating trade lanes in New York charging fee's for safe passage through Liberty Owned Trade Lanes. Suspect was also in possesion of a civilian pilot.. Charges are Pirating and Kidnaping
Second incodent i was alone on.. Unioner Spirit.of.freeport7 assisted Ralen when he Ejected.. When i caught up with Spirit, I scaned the cargo hold to see if she was still harboring the pirate fugitive.. Instead of the fugitive i discovered 44 Nomad missiles.. I ordered her to jetosen the cargo, i destroyed it, and escorted her out of liberty space with strict orders not to return.
After that i went on a patrol through California and ran into a couple Rogues but nothing to big. I returned to Manhattan to dock for this night and write my report..
Tonight in the New York system on the trane lane between West Point and Manhattan there was two rogues. One in a Heavy Fighter and the other in a Gunboat. Bendak.Starkiller in the gunboat and Zach"Jazz"Colson in the fighter. I call for assistance and a LN Gunboat came to the call. I assisted in trying to rid New York of the two violators and in the process had my ship destroyed. I ejected and made it back safely to Manhattan and job me a new ship. Then i proceeded to Texas where there were reports of a Rheinland Cruiser and many fighters.. When i exited the tradelane i was imediately fired upon and lost another ship. I hung up my boots for the night after that.
Old betty was caught slave running, she was chased and almost caught when the LPI and LN forces involved were set upon by a rogue destroyer, betty escaped in the confusion.
If she is seen in liberty space, she is to be terminated.
We, the Liberty Navy, have been considering our policies regarding the embargo that we have regarding the goods going to and coming from Rheinland.
Some formal complaints and requests from the neutral parties affected by the war have been taken into account.
The results are as follows:
0.0
General Trade Vessels and those not listed in other parts of this document:
0.1
Human cargo bound from Rheinland to Liberty is permitted.
It is not recommended that poorly defended ships take on this cargo though, as the Rheinland Military is notorious for its lack of distinction between civilian and military targets.
0.2
Non-military goods bound from Rheinland to Liberty are permitted. For example, consumer goods, luxury food, water, and so on.
Military goods such as engine components or military vehicles however, are not permitted, as they may have been sabotaged and tampered with.
-0.21
Military goods can only be imported across the border from Rheinland if the captains of the transporting vessels possess the correct licensing.
This licensing can be obtained by applying to the high command of the Liberty Navy, and will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.
You may also need to keep a small portion of your cargo hold clear for naval inspectors to come aboard, so it can be made sure that what youre hauling has not been sabotaged or tampered with.
0.3
All transports and freighters exporting goods from Liberty to Rheinland will still be asked to refrain from entering Hudson and Bering.
Those ships will be turned back or asked to sell their cargo on planet Houston.
-0.31
Vessels that are repeatedly stopped before entering Bering or Hudson will be penalised by a fine or the destruction of cargo, or both.
The fine will not exceed 3 million credits, but it is at the discretion of the officers on duty to decide how much or how little to punish any offenders within those boundaries.
-0.32
Vessels that manage to evade the Liberty Navy and the Liberty Police Incorporated will have their transponder names noted.
Further encounters may result in confiscation or destruction of the cargo, or severe damage done to these ships.
-0.33
Transport and freighter captains who decide to resist arrest, by either making a break for the border or opening fire on Liberty Navy ships, will be met with deadly force.
We have absolutely no patience for blockade runners in the Liberty Navy.
0.4
The Liberty Navy reserves the right to:
-0.41
Inspect all cargo going through Bering and Hudson, regardless of ship class or affiliation.
-0.42
Stop the shipment of any cargo between Rheinland and Liberty, or the systems in between of Hudson and Bering, if the officer on duty has good reason to do so.
-0.43
Captains of vessels who believe that they were wrongfully prevented from taking commodities across the border, (for example, due to other rules listed here) can make a complaint to the High Command of the Liberty Navy.
Camera evidence must be provided otherwise no action will be taken.
If a legitimate complaint is made and the required evidence is supplied, the officer in question will be asked for his version of events and a decision will be made by the High Command, taking both sides into account.
If the officer in question is found to be guilty of misconduct, affected trade vessels and their respective captains may be eligible for compensation in the form of credits, coupled with the reprimand or demotion of the officer in question.
1.0
In addition to these rules, there are some special regulations for groups of vessels, belonging to certain groups and organizations, listed below.
These override the regulations listed above where applicable.
1.1
Zoners possessing both the correct identification and guard status:
Trade to Freeport Two will not be restricted by the Liberty Navy.
You will not be stopped from shipping the following goods into or out of Bering and Hudson:
- Alien Organisms
- Deuterium
- MOX
- Pineal Amulets
2.1
Planetform Incorporated ( PFI| ) vessels:
We are aware that Cold Bay Station in Hudson produces copious amounts of Alien Organisms, a commodity of paramount importance to your corporation.
You will not be hindered whilst shipping this good.
This is already covered by the conditions set to general trading vessels (0.2) as Alien Organisms are not classified as a military good, but it is mentioned here again to clarify this.
3.1
Interspace Neuralnet Department ( [IND] ) vessels:
Your request to supply Bonn station with goods is still being discussed by multiple levels of the Liberty Navy, and has not been granted yet.
Please be patient while a decision is made. This means that for now, do not cross the border with goods bound for Bonn.
If this changes, an announcement will be made and this document will be amended.

Patrol report:
Where to start? The following is in the order that I rember it, I am currently lieing onboard the Battleship Missouri, in the medical wing. My ship was just destroyed by a Rheinland Warship, I will see what guncam footage can be recovered later.
Yesterday, I remember destroying a pirate bomber, with assistance. As, mentioned earlyer engineers are trying to recover the guncam footage. It should be recovered by tommorow.
We were on our way to california, the Liberty Navy's Seth Karlo was there, along with a nother pilot. We engaged 3 pirates, full details can be seen in his report. I am sorry to say that only his ship made it out in one peice.
Fast forwarding to today, I stopped the known slaver, "Old-Betty" who, denied all evidence (Which is in the above report) and later somehow docked, even tough manhattan was ordered not to allow the ship to dock.
Shortly after, I was watching Manhattan with the LNS Leyte Gulf, we saw a junker head to west point. We suspected he would be breaking the embergo, and asked his destiantion. He told us that he was going to bretonia. I told him that he will have a police escort to california, which he declined. For that reason we told him not to move witout us. He proceeded to call a Rogue Destroyer, to attack the LNS Leyte Gulf. The Destrouer fired a few warning shots, but did not approch us within 8K. The details are fuzzy, but we arrested the crew and destroyed the ship for conspiring against a Liberty Navy Ship.
AFter that I remember scouting with a LN bomber for incoming Rheinland forces. We went as far as Freeport two, as no other ships where avalibe at the time. Suddenly, a fleet of ships arrived at FP2, destroying the bomber, while I fleed and warned the Liberty Fleed to Assamble at Huston.
I formed on the newly arrived bomber squadron. Within minutes infront of us where battleships, cruisers, gunboats, and a few smaller ships. The bomber squadron went in first, while I attempted to keep the enemy bombers/fighters busy.
My ship took a direct hit from a Battleship, and was completely destroyed. My pod was picked up by a friendly (:yahoo:) then I woke up here. I have no idea what is going on outside.
Norman Radclyffe.
I belive One (1) Arrest credit is to be issued for the destruction of the Pirate Bomber.Guncam Proof will be uploaded within a few hours.
Today was the first day making my patrols as a Sergeant of the LPI. Fortunately, it went pretty much without a hitch. I teamed up with Officer Shaw and LSF Agent Wolfe in patrolling the tradelanes of New York system. We were out hunting for various known criminals hiding in our system. I must have changed ships three times in order to have the right ship for the right situation.
Boy, did that pay off. I discovered a Xeno orbiting Planet Manhattan that went by the name of Eternity. I tried to be nice and talk with him a bit. I have nothing against Xenos personally. They seem like a misunderstood bunch. So, I thought I would take the time to see what exactly he was doing in New York and maybe avoid unnecessary bloodshed. I didn't even get two words out, when all of a sudden, I hear the words, "Engaging Seymore Justice."
Well, that got me boiling mad. What nerve. If he was going to forego any attempt at chit-chat, he could at least have said, "Engaging SERGEANT Seymore Justice." I mean, is that too much to ask. At least acknowledge the rank of the officer your trying to send to a fiery oblivion. Respect, folks. It's called RESPECT!
So, I thought I would teach him a little respect by throwing some magma smack on his thin plated hull. I took a couple passes dodging his Starkiller Torpedoes and then fired every single one of my guns straight into his cockpit. Man, you should've seen the look in his eyes when Sergeant Seymore Justice schooled him in showing proper respect for authority. (Personal note: Actually, I was scared to death and I got off one heck of a lucky shot. Also, I think he actually ate one of his own mines. On top of that, I think I soiled myself during the battle. Next time bring extra underwear).
Anyways, the culprit is apprehended and awaiting trial. I have a couple pics showing him carrying a civilian hostage and his 'arrest'.

Cheif, I would like to apply for a SWAT ship. During the past days I have noticed alot of smugglers, embargo breakers and Hostile capital's in Liberty space. It seems we cannot ask the navy for assistance (//The cruiser I asked for help got sanctioned for helping me :( ), so a ship capable of taking down larger ships would be a load off.

Subject: Embargo
OK Ladies and Gents, the Embargo rules have changed a bit, here is the latest changes:

We have absolutely no patience for blockade runners in the Liberty Navy.
-0.34
No goods are to be taken across the border from Liberty to Rheinland, even if their origin is not from Liberty. We have no accurate and timely methods of proving or disproving the location of manufacture of many goods. Therefore, the Liberty Navy has chosen to err on the side of caution. Any goods bound for Rheinland but not from Liberty must not be taken across Bering or Hudson.
0.4
The Liberty Navy reserves the right to:
-0.41

4.0
The Liberty Navy are aware that exceptions and exemptions need to be made to parts of this document from time to time. Parties seeking such privilege should contact any member of High Command, but preferably the current Admiral, David Hale.
-4.1
For an application to be considered, these criteria need to be met:
- The person/people that will benefit from a particular exemption. For example, 1.1 details Zoners possessing both the correct identification and guard status, whereas 2.1 details Planetform Incorporated ( PFI| ) vessels.
- The goods that these exempted parties will be carrying across the border into Bering and Hudson. For example, Superconductors, Military Vehicles, Engine Components and so on.
- The intended destination of the goods, wherever that may be. This is important, even if your vessel is only passing through Rheinland on its way to a destination futher away. For example, destinations could include Freiburg station in Stuttgart or Freeport 9 in Omicron Theta.
- A set of very good reasons why the Liberty Navy should make the particular exemptions for you or your enterprise.
- Assurances of the action that will be taken by your firm or yourself if you or any members under your control are found to be breaking the rules set out by your request for particular exemption.
-4.2
The Liberty Navy reserves the right to:
-4.3
Reject an application for exemption from any part of this document with good reason. If the application is salvageable, you will be advised on the changes that we would like to see. If it is not, you will need to reconstruct it.
-4.4
Reject an application for exemption from any part of the guidelines set out in this document without good reason if the application itself does not fulfil the guidelines set out in 4.1 of this document.
-4.5
Ask for, in addition to the assurances set out by the parties applying for exemption, a deposit of credits to assure that the deal is adhered to. This deposit will be of a size deemed acceptable by the High Command of the Liberty Navy. The deposit will be refundable if the parties cancel the exemption legitimately. The deposit will not be refundable if parties which fall under the agreement are found repeatedly breaking the embargo.
If this changes, an announcement will be made and this document will be amended.
We will keep abreast of the changes and let you know when they do change.

It has recently come to our attention that there are some recruit officers that are taking their time on getting promoted to regular Officer because they have become seriously attached to their Patriots.
This has been discussed at the command level here and the results are: When you promote to regular Officer, you don't have to give up your Patriot.
Upper Management , however, has requested that Officers that do this double up their Life insurance and the Department Psychiatrist will have an open door policy for those Officers.
