Prehaps the FIRST case in .85 of the seige cruisers used in a seige.
Pirate dessie (rogue) chased to an unknown base in a deries field in NY system (the one trent helps destroy in one of the first SP missions, new base is there now, does NOT appear on list or map)
Dessie hides behind it, LNS Dallas and LNS Leyte Gulf proceed to sit back at max range (which the pirate can match with his heavy weps, so much for a seige cannon ..... ) and trade pot shots.
Our shots are largley ineffective because they take so long between and are so slow, puls hard to aim.
Whereas the pirate just took potshots at us at random.
ALMOST had em, but hten server crashed. (still down as of writing this)
So yeah I know how to use it, but the gun itself is semi worthless due to its issues. If I could tradei t for an extra few turrets and extended power grid, I WOULD in its current state.
EDIT: Fired up datastorm, so THATS were the LR Dessie station moved to ..........
maybe you should consider the fact, that the liberty seige crusier might not be for you. you might want to consider scraping to leyte gulf and making a cruiseer in rhienland or something

I have to say, of all the cruisers I flew in the last version (1 of each House), the Liberty Cruiser was my least favourite. When loading up, you think "oh, yeah, I have this big gun, I can mount less heavies", but, when it actually comes to a fight, you'll start wondering why you decided not to mount a LM...
Sure, it is a small-ish cruiser, but it'd be much nicer to fly if the forward gun was replaced with another turret slot...
(Oh, and the only thing I ever managed to hit repeatedly with the forward gun was a bomber...that insisted on jousting me 1v1...)
I can hit targets, just that the cruiser is at a VERY distinct disadvantage against semi equal sized mobile targets, GB and cruiser, because the gun is so slow.
Plus I think the cruiers low on power, with other cruiers in .85 can you fire 2 missles at once ? With the seige cruiser, 1 missle takes 3/4 power approx, but in a fleet action against a BS it rocks (as the RM found out about 30mins ago when they lost 2 BS among other ships).
But considering the nunber of comments from people that actualy fly it currently that are negative.. I think that says something.
Alright, I didn't want to be harsh, but it seems I have to.
This thread is yet another case of "I lost, nerf their/buff my ship". The cannon does not need a buff, it is fine in its role. Learn to use the ship properly instead.
The gun works fine against big ships like the Rh BS for example. I wouldnt bother trying to hit a bomber or a gb with it. And as for the fight against the Rogue dessie - it was rather hard to aim the main gun and even harder to hit the dessie given the numerous objects flying inbetween us ( debries ) and the fact that it was hiding behind the stationary Destroyer. Only thing I noticed was that the gun was only reaching about 1.5-2k but again I cant be sure because It may have been hitting debris. It worked nicely in the open space battle which occured later that day.
It could, for example, be buffed visually ( add some explosion effects) because for a gun this big it would be normal to produce a bit of "fireworks":)
