I've not been in game for a few weeks, but I did notice when I logged to chat to someone that you were mining in omega 49, Omega 49 is sort of a black spot, im not sure if that field is meant to exist, or if its profits are 'balanced' (nerfedlol), but apart from these minor (miner) details, should you perhaps be hostile to corsairs?
I know it does not state so on your faction tag, under hostile factions, but the corsair neutrality probably isnt suitable, maybe even due to the influence of CR on the IMG faction all this time (4,85 only just fixed the horrible rep, killing corsairs/xenos makes img hostile? Bah).
so Corsairs, neutral? friendly? hostile? I'm of the opinion that a mining orginization that has bases in corsair hunting grounds would hardly be left alone, (hood, cardif, freinstadt, and aland.. which is the most blatant).
I dont think the strangeness is intentional at all on your part, just something I noticed and thought i'd give you -some- feedback on.
I'm not entirely sure. I'm of the opinion the IMG is on the unfriendly side of neutral, but it would be silly and ineffective for the IMG to go out of their way to cause conflict. Just like with the Outcasts - the hostility originated on their part. So basically, so long as the Corsairs have no problems, the IMG wouldn't either. And with the IMG being a speedbump for the Outcasts on the road to Corsairland, I always figured they tolerated the miners in most cases.

I would think that with recent interactions between the IMG and the Brotherhood in O49, the IMG really should be setting the Corsairs to red.

Oh, I must've missed that. If such is the case, it'd be a great opportunity for the IMG to further their relations with the Mollys and Red Hessians then, eh?
Ive seen corsairs occasionly assist IMG under attack from OC, both traders and combat vessels. Ive also seen some IMG assist corsairs against OC on occasion.
I think that the IMG is like the zoners for the corsairs, a nice freindly port on the way to Alpha, and occasionly a nice source if income when a lone miner / trader is caught, but otherwise ignored and left alone.
IMG do NOT share a good relationship with the Corsairs. They're bloodthirsty pirates, why would we like them? The enemy of our enemy are still a bunch of cannibalistic pirates.
The CR, however, do enjoy a good relatioship with the Corsairs. This is just one of many differences between us, please do not confuse the two.

The enemy of our enemy thing doesn't quite work either, as we're not hostile with the Hessians, which must make the Corsairs dislike us. But since we don't cause problems with them, it should make us not quite hostile either.
I never said we were at war or anything like that, lordy no, last thing we need is another group of no-good pirates hanging round us. We just ... don't enjoy each other's company? Yeah, that works.
That's a good way to put it. We have nothing against them if they behave, but since they have that tendency not to, well, not enjoying their company is a good way to put it!

With that, I continue to take my stance that the IMG are a mix between the Republic of Ireland (and maybe Welsh mining unions), with the Mollys being like the IRA.
The BMM would be kind of like Northern Ireland (with perhaps some Thatcher-like smashing of unions).
Slight deviation from topic, but there you go.
From what I've seen though, you guys are doing well, especially considering the screwy diplomacy you've had to work with.
