Yeah, I know, the Preagle was sooooo bad, yet there were factions that didnt resort to using a ship they really shouldnt have instead of using. Cap spam the reason? I point you to the XA who used the Preagle, cant say they didnt get cap spammed a hell of a lot more than the GC. Dab, most GC used the redcat because it was a bomber that could easily take down fighters or caps, lets not try and suggest thats not the truth. The Preagle was good enough for the XA and AFA, what makes the GC diffrent?

Didn't the XA use Taiidens? Because that's what I recall seeing them use.

In any case, the obvious alternative to the Preagle for the 4.84 GC was the Falcata. Regardless, it's a moot point now.

And I would not say AFA got cap spammed really, have you seen the blood dragon caps? case rested, even though its horribly off topic.

GCVHF is not in any single way underpowered, compare it to the paladin, which is a piece of crap, and its really overpowered, compare it to the other junk in kusari and its perfectly balanced, except that balance is on a different universe entirely from every bugger else.

OP: get killed by a black dragon? yeah, that ship is as ... 'Kusari' as yours, and it obviously had a better pilot. If anything, you are lucky that both those ships are not nerfed.

On the relevent note, the GC VHF isn't all that bad a ship when you consider it's manuverability and size. My GC flies one and I can easily take on the normal fare of KSP wyrms, bombers, and probably eagles and civilian ships. And I consider myself a reasonably good pilot these days.

Though, you must remember that the GC is supposed to be one of the weakest factions in game (with only the LWB being weaker) and survives based on it's alliance with the Dragons and Stealth. Personally, the fact that they even HAVE their own ships is a bit above their own capacity (as is that of the FA, Gaians, and Xenos). By that logic, the GC VHF shouldn't be that powerful.

Though this IS a game. As it stands, the GC VHF is a solid contender, but not almighty, and not really capable of challanging Military or Samura built craft one on one. As it should be. GC have to fight smart in order to survive.

While I agree with your sentiments on that, Ironwatsas, I don't think that Zelot is trying to justify himself using that argument.

Remember when comparing two ships there are many more hidden statistics that must be considered into the balance of the two. There are far more stats than just those the info card shows.

The reason the NPCs use Civilian ships is because those patrols were either created in vanilla of before the Blossom was created. Before the GC got their own ships they used civilian ships as their main ships.

I grilled Mjolnir about the balance of the Black Dragon, Blossom and.. whatever they called the Blood Dragon VHF and really, I think they did a good job. He showed me the size comparison, turning stats, etc.

Could someone actually show us some facts to back up these claims of the GC VHF being underpowered?

So GC VHF is faster than Black Dragon, but some 2% bigger overall (it's wider, but with more holes in), so the extra speed counters the size difference. Both are significantly faster than Chimaera. Dodging of all "unlawfull" kusari fighters was lowered to Chimaera level after feedback from BAF players who claimed that while Chimaera is fine Black Dragon was too fast.

HFs have 9000k powerplant, and lvl 9 shield.
