I dunno... I remember flying the collector in 4.84... and driving all the Xenos nuts while they tried to hit me in futile attempts. Barragers sucked even more back then, but I still managed to kill at least 1 Xeno with them (while fighting in a group) purely due to the amount of time that I spent surviving. And I was up against some of the best pilots of disco... so Collector I would say suffers from the Arbeiter syndrome. It might not move much, but it just doesn't get hit much either due to shape and size. The only thing that got changed on it for 4.85 was the torp slot angle and the hitbox fix. So it can still do what it did I think...

I do agree that Barragers are pretty sucky though...

I've not flown the Junker Bomber, so I can't give much of an opinion of one. However, in combat from the other side, I have found them top be giant supernova magnets. As you'd expect really for such a huge bomber.

The vast energy etc would however tears caps to peices if a couple of them stayed at range and spammed novas/SN's.

It's my personal belief that most 8.33 refire guns need something of a buff. They are a lot harder to use effectively than slower refire weapons. Barragers are amounst the worst of these to use, and definately need some work done to them.

It actually has 40k energy. Nuts right?

I can tell you one thing about the Recycler: it isn't a SHF, not by a long shot. I had a hard time turning against a Spatial...and the Spatial pilot was not what one might call a "pro"...

Recycler turns slower than Spatial yes (spatial is about twice the size though) but it turn faster than Kiith SHF. So yes it IS basically an SHF with extra torp slot.

And since Mjolnir is uber then Recycler is at least very good since they are almost the same isn't it?

I wouldn't say 'uber', but it's definitely useful. Two things in particular: killing transports and gunboats because it can take the hits while aiming the SN shot, and scaring other inexperienced bomber pilots who just look at the regens and shield and say 'feck this'.

Twice the size? Hmm...can we get a comparison picture? Recycler always feels stupidly large. As far as being a SHF with an extra torp...that extra torp is always gonna mount a CD, anyways (as you don't have enough power left over to make a MR/nova worthwhile), and you have some...5?...forward firing guns, 3 of which are turrets (which mean they are sub par if you mount debs in them...leaving the oh-so-awesome 600 m/s, 8.33 Barragers...). Yeah, Recyclers are good at making a mess of transports, but the far-too-common "I keel Junkers" caps? Not really...

All bombers are good at making a mess of transports though.

And yeah since when is the Mjolnir uber? In my experience they have dropped like flies.
