' Wrote:I love how you just ignored my comment. id like to see some rp and cooperation with the council factions on how you got your council cruiser, if you still have it. frankly so far ive seen you just being thick headed and ignoring the factions you rp wise WORK WITH.
WE at present do not have a cruiser that is allowed out of Dock, i have the only cruiser which is Grounded and with no Weaponry as we do not have permission to fly it. although RP Request for that will be Constructed soon and i am in talks with the leader of LPR about Various issues between Brigands and LPR including the Use of Caps.....
' Wrote:you are. you need to stop thinking in pvp terms and start thinking of rp terms. have you given thought that theres a REASON brigands dont have cruisers? you guys are meant to strike fast then slip into the feilds, not come pounding up like council or grn. as for pvp whores, thats THEIR problem. also, the fact of supplying a cruiser with men, fuel, armaments, would stretch your supply lines to the limit. so far out of your proposal it seems very focused on pvp, with not much in the way of rp. trust me when i say id rather have 3 bombers than 3 cruisers.
This Aint a Proposal hence there is NO RP in my first post. This is a Design Brief where i have given you details on who we are what we pontentially want to do, and i have left it to you the community to give feedback on how i should go about making a pre proposal. so hints on how we should RP etc are most welcome.
So please go back to the first Post read what I have posted including the title then , provide me with some Ideas not proposal Criticism as you are giving which would be fine IF this was a pre porposal
Which it Is NOT !!!!! ty
I havent read through this whole thread but I would like to warn you about one thing concerning the back story. I believe one of the reasons official factions wont be allowed in Gallia until .86 is that a lot more cannon RP for Gallia will be released in .86 . If that cannon contradicts any backstory you develop right now then that back story will be useless. If still do want to develop a backstory I recommend that you dont develop it in too much detail, as the more detail you have the more likely something will be introduced in ,86 that will contradict it and make it OORP.

This is true, Just looking for a general Story Outline Really like what to include in it
Only it is a word meaning something else, but haven't found any words written this way
I iz french frog!:P
got the french spelling of vampires from the Film 'Interview with a Vampire' where they visited a vampire infested theatre in Paris in the 19th century, the Theatre was called some thing like 'The'a'tre des Vampirs'
and to me Vampirs is more european sounding even if its gramatically incorrect, especially since the french word for vampire is the same as the english spelling of vampire being 'Vampire', Les Vampirs has a nice ring to it and french sounding.
Concerning Cruisers. I think it is not impossible for the Brigands to hash together a working cruiser or two from the debris of the Gallic Civil War. One such derelict hull is not far from the Orkney jump hole in Languedoc. It might even be a GRN cruiser as Council cruisers wouldn't be the only ones destroyed (woudn't that be something!) Or, if it's too far out of character for the Brigands, it certainly isn't for the Junkers. Imagine a brigand strike force taking out a Junker salvage team that was towing a cruiser... the possibilities are limited only by imagination.
Supplying them is a bit trickier, but it could still be managed I think. Surely the Council would not begrudge us repairing our own captured cruisers, if they couldn't spare one for us themselves. Especially if we were paying for the privalege.
Diablo, one thing that troubles me is that Les-Vampirs are right now described as extremely...ruthless. Yet there is precedent for a player faction to be more idealized while the NPCs represent common officersne soldiers/petty crooks. A good example of this is Nature's Last Hope. It says in the Gallic Brigands faction description that there is this romaticized image of them being like French Robin Hoods, basically. Yet we seem to have gone off in the other direction...

Couldn't sleep last night, so had a brainstorming session about le tax du toll instead.
The current tax is on a sliding scale based on level, which seems to me to charge too much to traders.
This scale is also seemingly secret, as even I do not know much more than that.
I have here a different scale, based on a 'ladder' type system. If you agree with it, Diablo, I think it should be posted both in Grotte de les Vampirs and our diplomatic channel.
Level: Tax: Sightseers: Remove 1 zero from the total tax
90+ 5 mil
80-89 4 mil Diplomatic envoys to Council, Maquis, Brigands or Corse: Free
70-79 3 mil
60-69 2 mil
50-59 1 mil
40-49 one half mil
39- free
This scale is based on my experience as a trader. Traders absolutely hate having to pay more than 5 mil, and even this should be reserved only for the very richest.
On the other end of the scale, those below level 50 are probably still in a rhino or clydesdale, and need all the help they can get.
Council players, if there is some portion of this scale you don't like, or if you would like to apply for additional exemptions, now is the time to speak up. Keep in mind that Diablo (blackwidow here on the forum) gets the final say. Also keep in mind, this is primarily aimed at those that are running supplies to the lawfuls, funding the lawfuls, or both.
Diablo, if done correctly, and considering input from the Council, this should significantly ease relations between us and the council, AND not bankrupt/drive away our customers.
Very tired. Hope this helps
