As Jinx showed us here, in post 15, the Virage is very large. It also has the second-lowest armor in its class (the Hammerhead's lower, but that's more of a Heavy Fighter anyway). It still doesn't turn very well, and it has the same powerplant as the better-at-everything Charon.
In fact, compared to 4.84 (and as far as I can recall, it was considered underpowered back then too), nothing has changed. Okay, one thing has, to be fair - it no longer has an explosion resistance advantage compared to the Eagle. Its only advantage has been killed.
While maybe it could be buffed a little bit, may I remind you that you must consider the mass, the powerplant, the powerplant recharge, the number of bots, etc to compare two ships. The virage (.84) had a great powerplant, I think it still does.
Also, Frozen fixed the glitched hitboxe of the ship. However, Legonation never sent any update to remove the annoying big guns..
Large... well from top/bottom it is, from head on it's quite small (smaller than a Sabre for example).
Yes it turns slower than an Eagle, but it dodges just as well and it's much faster than Raven's Talon which is what I'd consider "average" handling VHF.
It also has better powerplant than eagle.

2 Things
1. Custom hitbox (wast improvement over the old one)
2. 150 instead of 250 mass (also quite a big change)
But yes that's "nothing".
Igiss says: Martin, you give them a finger, they bite off your arm.
I disagree. You want to buff up the Virage because it is underpowered? The power of a ship does not lie in its' stats, but in your own hands. The Virage may be under powered, but it is not unbalanced. It is still very capable of taking out fighters of equal class. If you can't do it, then there is a problem with yourself and not the ship.
This is not a stat based game, it is a skill based game. Start treating it like one. There will always be a "weakest ship" stat wise. Are we slowly gonna buff all the fighters just because someone complained that their ship is now weaker than someone elses? Lets solve the problem by making all fighters the same stats and hitbox size. Then will you be happy with your tasteless bucket of gruel?

A little less "great" a little more "average VHF", actually.
Mjolnir: Okay, I didn't know about the mass change, sorry about that. What was the old hitbox on it? The only old hitbox I remember was the Crow being a squashed Rhino...
Nighthawk: I almost never fight in a Virage. I fight in a Scimitar or a Switchblade, the Freelancer Virage I have is a more conversationally-inclined individual. But thanks for assuming that it's for my own benefit in PVP, I appreciate that. As the aforementioned Freelancer might say, perhaps you're saying more about your own motives.

I apologise for assuming. But when one makes a request to buff a ships' PvP aspects, did you really think people were going to assume it was for any reasons other than PvP? If you only Roleplay the ship, then why do you think it needs a rebalance? The ship may be weak, but it is not unbalanced.
Because there are going to be people who fight in them more than I do. I'm not the only one playing the mod, and I don't think I'm the only one flying that ship. Besides which, no amount of RP will get you out of dealing with someone who happens to be right next to you and feels like shooting something. If it's a weak ship, then maybe it should have something going for it - it doesn't have anything that contributes to any particular RP style like the Luxury Liner, Repair Ship, or CSV do.
(edit: okay, the liner's a bad example.)
An extra torp slot, an extra gun (or even a unique one for the tubes)... Honestly, that could be a larger cargo bay for all I care. In fact, the infocard saying it was once a bomber design could easily explain that - the old heavy torpedo storage was converted into vastly expanded cargo bays.
That kinda takes something unique from the Junkers though.
However, the mass being 150 is the same as most other VHFs; that it used to have bomber mass tells me the balance in 4.84 was even more screwy than I thought. And while it has a small frontal profile, so does the Manta. On that note, could I get a comparison? My computer can't run any modelling program I've seen (yeah, it's a bad one), so I can't do one myself.
