I actually wondered about this subject myself, a mobile medical ship. Having built up Doc Holliday to include him being an M.D., I actually contemplated building a luxury yacht into a MASH type ship. With the war going on in Leeds, refugees needing medical care or just providing medical and dental in those remote areas would be fitting.
while photobucket dislikes me - i ll think of a new concept for the med-ship ... since the concept itself ( of a med ship ) appears to be well received.
i ll try to make a more generic ship - with a lot more windows and maybe major glass parts ( recreation areas ) - when its not a battle med ship - it might as well look less like a frigate and more like a ship you actually want to be on ( except for being ill of course )
You can RP it with pilots that drop out. Also, you can role play a red cross interstellar, and decide to leave all of them, or most at least, on some Freeport.
modified ( well - not really. - rather made a new model ) - the med ship..
this version is much larger - possibly a bit larger than a liner even. - it is NOT textured... i just took the liberty to colour the red crosses in photoshop to show that .... well - it is supposed to have red crosses.
the only really white generic FL skin is the generous hull plating on medium sized bretonian vessels. - so i d think of large plain, white armour sections.
it won t look heavily armoured then - maybe even less than a liner. - but it would have the air of a civilian vessel. - with all the windows all around it, - it ll look like a christmas tree in the dark anyway.
problem about the white skin is - it doesn t really fit to the rheinland engines - so the idea of a rheinlandish med frigate won t work.
It's purdy, but my line of thought really always was another supplemental 3600 ish vessel. Another mid ranger as opposed to yet another "liner". Something compact, quick and designed to get in and out despite hostile environments. Into hostile environments, in fact.
