Ok I was flying around on a GRN character today when I encountered a =CR= player and after some Roleplay and combat he managed to break away from us. Anyway he had to go and so he docked on one of our battleships which is OORP of course. Anyhow a short time later I was able to contact the =CR= player and I asked him how he was able to dock and he said that after rep fixing for the =CR= the Gallia lawfuls were friendly and then he said that before and after rep fixing the gallia lawfuls were friendly on his trader. So does that mean that there is a bug with the rep or can you get friendly with Gallia lawfuls or by rep fixing with =CR= can you be friendly and thirdly should any sirius faction player be friendly anyway with Gallia?
Sorry about putting this in the wrong area I wasn't sure. Also the =CR= wasn't there rep fixing I think. He actually said he was buying weapons from Champange which I think also wouldn't be allowed would it?
Anything more specific than =CR= player? Would make it possibly slightly easier to contact said member, i don't really understand why he would need that rep for any reason. This is indeed disturbing and i will also look into it.
Ayup. When I ran into this guy on my Maquis we directed him out of Gallia and told him never to return, nor allow his friends to do so.
As it turns out... the Maquis and the Council have a .1 positive replink with the house militaries and police, while the GRN and GRP have a .1 negative replink with such. In other words, if your KNF kills a bazillion Cavaliers in Leeds, the GRN will be full green and Council will want your head.
Personally I think both replinks should be removed due to wars and whatnot... it makes people who the GRN should be murdering have white or green rep with them and people who the Council should be talking to be red with them.
As another possible solution, howabout an admin statement that Sirius people can't dock on Gallic lawful bases? It's common sense and RP, but people don't seem to realize that the GRN are trying to kill you and take your stuff. If they do, they go 'neener-neener I can dock on your base' and log off... even worse than Manhattan, since we're dealing with blanket hostilities and militarized battleships used to shooting people on sight... le sigh.
Anyway, the GRN plan on turning back any errant traders after any suspicious cargo has been destroyed, and destroying those who don't comply- along with any Sirius emissaries who don't get the idea. If you don't want to die, don't take your Sirius character into Dauphine or Burgundy (notable exception of the Junkers, who should tread lightly if using Sirius-made equipment). Expecting to be able to dock or be welcomed will be accompanied by massive facepalming and Musketoons to the hindquarters.
EDIT: I have the name, but I wasn't with the group of GRN that intercepted him. When I found him on my Maquis later, he said he was in Gallia looking for codes. >.> I'll pass along to the GRN chat that you want the story, and I'll PM the name once I'm done finishing this edit.
EDIT 2: PM sent to Armageddon with name. Who should I tell the GRN to send details to?
Send any details that the GRN would be interested in knowing to Exile, Ethan Morrow or any similarly ranked member of the (un)official faction. We will deal with OoRP players to the best of our ability.
Sorry for not mentioning the =CR= Player's name as I didn't want the person being sanctioned or anything as I feel it was an honest mistake and so I came here to the forums for knowledge on what was the right and wrong thing to do. Unfortunaly my memory fails me and I can't remember the gentlemen's name I will try to remember it as soon as I can.
